I've been looking all over for this version of The Rock's music. It's the "Do you smell" intro with the guitar solo from "If you smell". Not many people remember it because it didn't last long, I knew it existed but nobody believed me.
+HeiskaH Yes you need the vocals from the Do you smell what The Rock is cooking theme song to combine it with the instrumental from the If you smell theme.
The Rock got older different times, different decade. The Attitude Era ended years ago and he left the WWE for many years to make movies, so of course things are going to be different now. The WWE itself isn't even the same company anymore, they're clean and PG. Therefore The Rock has to change his character to fit in with that.
This theme literally sounds like a evolution in progress. From The Great One into The Most Electrifying Man. Aka late 98/early 99 Rock into 2000-2002 Rock.
Maaaaaaaan, I've been trying to find this version of his theme for a long time. I think only had it briefly after turning face and leaving the Corporation, but it was before his intro changed to "If you smell..."
This is like a combination of do you smell v1 theme of 1999 and the iconic know your role theme of 2000..i love every theme of the Rock since he became leader of the nation. 😎😎
If I’m right, it’s the first time the rock has won a tournament final to win the first world vacant championship.(this is when the rock turned heel in 1998).
Finally! Thanks so much man Everytime I wanna hear this theme, I listen to 1:51 in this over and over, been trying to find it for so long lol /watch?v=8gYmPpJPLxc
This is pretty much a white label version of the ‘if ya smell’ version that was released weeks later, I’d guess this was the basic version that was made a later developed into the final master version that is more known thus why it was only used for a short period of time, just a guess but makes sense
Those shirts and shades just SCREAM Attitude Era!
yes it does and attitude era for life i still watch all the matches from the attitude era and i will watch them over and over they never get old
1999 was smack bang in the middle of the greatest era
This would've been a nice fit for being Corporate Rock's theme....
$500 dollar shirt, $500 dollar sunglasses, golden rolex

Still aint close enough to the one that is heard in Rock n Sock vs New Age Outlaws clip that is in WWE UA-cam channel
+HeiskaH Yup you're right, it's similar but not exact, the real version that The Rock actually used had more bass in it.
+jerel I will probs ask my friend Johns0n to try and remake it...
+HeiskaH Yes you need the vocals from the Do you smell what The Rock is cooking theme song to combine it with the instrumental from the If you smell theme.
+jerel you could hear it when he was doing promo against billy gun
Now this is "The Rock". Not bald head Dwayney blushing and constantly coddling to the crowd's reaction and talking about social media.

jerel 2002 version of The Rock could be good for PG Era
Change is one thing. Watering yourself down is another.

@@SteelSpurs lol in 2004 he was watered down already

@@sleekismboyz605 Because the new millennium changes, but before he's a legend.
Probably he likes to entertain people.

The Rock August 1996 Theme
Do You Smell What Dwayne The Rock Is Cooking!
This is pretty much a white label version of the ‘if ya smell’ version that was released weeks later, I’d guess this was the basic version that was made a later developed into the final master version that is more known thus why it was only used for a short period of time, just a guess but makes sense
This theme song should've been used on the rock($500 shirt) on WWE 2k20
Exactly. Instead, they used his 2000 version.. Smh 2k 🤦🏽♂️.
Uncaged 14, this theme will be on it when it releases next week.
Best theme was the 2000 version.
The "2000 version" actually came out in 1999, but I get what you mean because that theme was more solidified and became iconic in 2000.
Know your role
the rock says the rock says
the rock says
THE ROCK SAYS.....
KNOW YOUR ROLE AND SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
Now i smell it really what Rock coking ❤💋
The kick is heavy like a techno beat on this version. I like it. So 99. Sadly the Guitar is covered by everything else.
V2
Do you smell what Barack is cooking
1:51
the 7th theme song is better
