    • @paynefuldiy
      @paynefuldiy  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for watching... The over support add additional strength to the slab, it help when your adding a second floor to the building it also prevent the cracks and breaking of the slab

    Can you use 1x3 lumber for the runners underneath the ply in decking???

    • @paynefuldiy
      @paynefuldiy  Рік тому +1

      no.... Only if you use it to frame the sheet of ply like a form and then join them together as the joist

    • @impressive_builders
      @impressive_builders Рік тому +2

      Some people use it I've seen it done but its place 16" apart i don't recomend it tho

      So join 2 length of 1x3 as 1 length?

    • @paynefuldiy
      @paynefuldiy  Рік тому +1

      @@juniorchar743 you have to nail them on the ply first for the strength. And it depending on the length of the room

    Ghetto,
    What's the reason for over support steel reinforcement?

    • @paynefuldiy
      @paynefuldiy  Рік тому +2

      Great question. The over support prevents cracks and bending in the slab and helps to send the weight of the second floor into the columns

      @@paynefuldiy I'm definitely learning bcz I'm new to this thing. I always wanted to learn house construction but only got to learn joinery. Very good technique to support firmness and preserve strength 💪. @@paynefuldiy You're welcome sir. Your UA-cam page has inspired me to complete my house by myself, which I'm about to do. Paid money to build it and my roof wasn't done properly, bcz they mixed poor material. My slab roof leaked within months of being done. Your program taught me so much that I'm now wise, so I'll complete the rest. Respect Sir
