      So sad man. Growing up in suburbia US, football is all we knew. These guys were our heroes. Now, aged and on the brink of retirement, it’s too a reminder of ourselves growing older. Bittersweet, yet undeniably remarkable to be apart of.

      Me too! I was born in 1999, end of an era for sure. Not many classic 2000’s QBs left anymore. I even remember watching Big Ben in the super bowl when I was 8 or 9 years old and I considered myself a “Steeler’s Fan” for that one day lol. (Not from Pennsylvania though!)

    • @laker4life36
      @laker4life36 2 роки тому +21

      Also, the weirder part will be when the QBs start getting actually younger than me or even close to my age (some are already - Lawerence and Mac Jones are barely older). Not that you can look up to them like you did the older generation because they’re the same age as me. And it’s a reminder that someone’s had more success than I have, athletically and monetarily at least (for now) at the same age.

Clearly he was emotional about the game and the realization that it was his last game in the stadium. He even went around the stadium touching so many fan’s outstretched hands. I’m not particularly a Steelers or Roethlisberger fan, but it was a great moment and I’m glad he could go out with a win. A classy moment for all.

    I understand it’s his time but I must thank him for his time
    I am exited to start new however with a young rookie or I’ve been thinking that we’ll pick up Russle Wilson
    The one thing people use against him and make fun of him is how he didn’t age as well as players like Brees, Brady, or Rogers but he’s been sacked more than any other player at 551 at the time of writing. You can’t expect him to been thrown down by 300+ pound players and still be as good as his prime
