Please get ready for some Goose bumps!
Awesome! I prefer the early Queen years than the later stuff after the Game. I love Queen's music none the less but, the harder rock sound from 1973 to 1980 is great.
Brian May guitar is fecking class! Queen Forever!
It just makes me smile when the opening narrator says "one of the hottest new bands around"
If only he knew at the time how big they would become :D
Yep I thought the same thing, one of the best bands in the world.
@CHURINFUNFLAIS Absolutely!! I Couldn't Agree more. My sister brought home Queen 2 in 1974 and blasted side BLACK, my draw dropped, I was hooked and saved my money to by Sheer Heart Attack and Queen, blasted them all year and then a Night at the Opera Came Out, and I was 1st on line
This was the very first tape i ever heard back in late 70s, i was about five and loved the opening 'Procession', made me want to learn the guitar. :-)
great version!
i love the sound of the guitar o GOD IT'S AMAZING
great performance
LOVE Queen!!!
That's what they did. In fact, most of the time they just played the backing tape as the band made their entrance, perhaps a little bit of additional live fiddling on top for theatrical effect - and theatre was a massive part of what they were about.
I couldn't agree more with all you...
The Queen live book which list every set list and live gig. The book is official with foreword by Brian May. I think the man talking is Alan Black who compared the BBC concert from Sept 13 Golders Green Hippodrome, London. Was broadcast on the BBC. The set list is from the bootleg cover track listing and is in the wrong order See What A Fool I've Been is later in the gig. In place this should be "Hangman". According to the book.
Magic.
@amegland: This gig was one year befor the official release of the song on Queen II. I guess they changed the lyrics in this year.
Couldn't agree more
@mori1bund That could explain everything. Thanks for your time! =)
I tottaly agree with you, early Queen is great, from the coplexity of queens "The march of the black Queen", "The prophets song" its great, and freddies vocals are higher, wich is a plus, but either way, Queen, from First album to last are None the less THEE greates band Ever... and i stand by that Very strongly...
no second guitar...he's just that good...echoes and harmonies were created with 3 amps and 2 analog tape delays.
always wondered how that tour went
Thats great! It Procession played life?!
@undertone13 Queen would play the recorded intro and Brian would come in with the power chord.
imagine Queen's first ''headlining'' US tour...they took turns as the headlining act with Aerosmith.
where did u get this?? if it's a radio broadcast from 1973, how could u record it back then w/ such clarity? i'm not doubting- i'm just wondering. by the way,... i love the guy at the end, "they're not playing 'keep yourself alive'. Stuff from the NEW album that's doing nicely." .......man this is goin back!
I think there was a track they played, then Brian played over it
Well, almost! But not quite fellow queenie!
Maybe it was John. Back in those days they didn't have in-ears nor MIDI, or any kind of those devices.
Am I the only one who noticed that Freddie got the lyrics mixed up?
@undertone13 I don't know and I want know it too
what are you talking about? when is it 7/8 timing?
Brian used a very extensive and expensive method.....3 amps...2 analog TAPE delays(echoes)...all the guitars are Brian
Who played the second guitar on the intro, Was it John?
9 years late it was prerecorded.
@@rohanr.9714 before queen 2, procession was played by brian and john and not pre recorded.
