- This bowl comes from a fail from three years ago. You can see the video here • Cracked Pine Resin Bow... It was put on the Shelf of Shame and there it sat for three long years. I wasn't sure if I could save it. It fought me every step of the way, but in the end.......It's Done!!!

PEW! PEW! PEW! PEW! AND MULTIPLE POURS WORTH OF MUSIC! That is what we call blessed!
Hahaha thanks Michael.
You always amaze me when you take something that most people would give up on and then you make something beautiful. Love this, it turned out amazing!
So true, you have to admit though...it was the resin that made a real difference.
A mission success approach. ✌ 😃
You've proved the old saying wrong. You CAN make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
Respect for the perseverance 👊😉
OH the Problems !!! great job kicking is Butt ! This Poisonous Apple looks Awesome Ken !!! Thumb up as always !
Thanks Doug.
Nice! Have you ever turned Catalpa? It's a stunning wood after turning and polishing! It would look great with a pearl / honey colored resin! I would buy it in a second!
So I looked he wood up and since it is a local wood of Catawba I should be able to get some. I'm looking into it now. Thanks
dude that one really tested ya but im glad ya didnt give up on it, came out awesome
I like it, Ken! Great looking poison apple!
Thanks Billy
You should be proud! That bowl is gorgeous! The 🍏 shape is perfect! The projects that give us the most trouble and require a serious amount of tenacious determination are usually the ones that shine the most.✨That one might be my favorite, you’ve made some beautiful bowls so, it’s hard to say for sure but, it’s definitely in the top 5. I just love it!
I appreciate your persistence on this one. It had to take some patience. Turned out great! And who doesn't like the "pour" music???
Agreed!
Haha, YES!!!!! Thanks Shawn.
Wow !! Great work ..loving the work
Thank you so much 😀
Love the name and the outcome of this project!! So cool!
Man Ken this one fought you at every step!
Amazing result though brother 🍏🍎🍏🍎
You got that right! Thanks
Hahahah i like your advice before the music 🤣
I gotta say, this is definitely one of my favorite pieces that you've done. It sure made you work for it though. Kudos for stickin' this one out.
Thanks. I appreciate it.
Crikey that was a journey, you're persistence is admirable. Lovely piece, the wrong green isn't at all. Almost has a malachite look to it. Great job :)
Woo! That’s why you USE the FACE SHIEEELDS!!! 😂😂😂 That cracked me up!! …… Wow! I really like this poisonous apple!!😍
I think you may have a ship of Theseus situation on your hands. Meaning, how much of it can you replace with resin before it's no longer the original thing. 🤔
Haha, as long as you can still see the pine I think it's ok. 😂😂😂😂
There's something to be said for not giving up. It turned out beautiful.
Thank you Sonia.
Really diggin’ how that turned out. Man, your perseverance is inspiring, that was as awesome as the piece.
Thank you Mark. I really wanted this one to work.
That was so awesome! I'm super impressed right now. I love it when the good guy wins! Seriously, that bowl is a trophy and you totally earned it. Amazing.
Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words.
I’m here for your pouring music!! Lol, makes me smile and laugh every time I hear it. Never change it
Whoa‼️the Incredible Atomic Apple 🍏. Fantastic Art piece after all your perseverance. A real BEAUTY.
👍🏼⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Thank you so much
Love the music! Also this turned out gorgeous! Playing catch up after a busy week on the road. Saw how many videos I had missed & got excited. Really a beauty Sir.
Thank you! 😊
You did a GREAT job on this one. I think I would have quit a long time ago, saying it wasn't meant to be made, lol. I love how you persisted to get it done, I do try to do the same thing with my crocheting, especially when I step out of my comfort zone and try new things. You inspire me to just keep on going and things will work out =)
It's absolutely beautiful! The colors are superb, the wood is gorgeous...and despite setbacks that might make others give up, you didn't quit. Besides...how can we learn without screwing up now and then? We couldn't. Very beautifully done. You're a marvelous artist and craftsman.
Thank you so much for those kind words.
Let me tell you, I LOVE THIS! You stayed with it until you achieved a great piece of work. Thank you for sticking with this.
That is a challenging piece with a lot of work and time. Congratulations.
Thanks for sharing your journey
Thank you too for watching and commenting.
You are amazing Ken thank god you had the most awesome patients to carry on but boy didn’t you do the best repair. Fantastic video fantastic poison apple. Snow-white would be happy with it. 👍👍👍😊😊😊♥️
Thanks Kelvin, you make me blush. lol
Love the colors in this bowl. It may not be right, but it’s beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I love the imperfections, mistakes and solutions... And it's gorgeous. I'd kill for this piece and I rarely feel that way...
So many projects tick right off, but you persevered! Kudos!
Thank you Kirsten
Fabulous save and love all the greens, totally makes the poison name even betterer yes betterer!!!
When you started I was hopping that you would add some other color (was thing just clear) to fill in any large voids in the wood. The neon(?) green was a great addition.
Thanks. It was a green with a blue base before.
I'm binge watching your videos and can't get over the quality of your work. Art with the sense of humor. It's a good mix. Beautiful job
Wow, thank you!
Good evening, Ken.
'Never lose sight of your vision.' Press on. Extraordinary finish to a stubborn piece. I like it!
Your perseverance has, once again, paid off...this is stunning!! 💞
Thank you so much!!
Really liked how you didn't give up and kept going on this one to over come every setback. It looks great! Can't wait to see how you reclaim some more projects from that shelf.
Thanks a bunch!
Great save! Looks good and the semi-mismatched colors fir the name ... really like the addition of the lid
wow, what a great save and a great piece. wish I could buy it. once again, I love your creativity and your enjoyment of your artistic expression. thanks so much.
Great save! Luv the contrasting greens. Turned out awesome. Great job. Thx for sharing and take care.
Thanks so much!
Love it. I agree, the various shades of green are PERFECT together. Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us. 💚
Thank you so much for watching so I can keep doing it.
Awesome save. I pays to never give up. Good job. Now that you feel good about that save, I can't wait to see the next.
Your pouring music is outstanding! Beautiful bowl man! I am like you, I can’t always just walk away. Love it man!
It's so much fun to watch how quickly you tear into a regular piece of wood. It's mesmerizing watching the wood disappear. I love the green, it's so cool with the yellow on top. I found out that green and gold together is beautiful. I'd love to see one done in Yellow or orange, or both
Thanks for the suggestion Frankie. I am adding it to my list.
@@MoonpieCreations lol no problem buddy. Stay safe
Ken that thing gave you fits but man oh man is it beautiful now. A great save, and I am so glad you had on that face shield when that piece of wood took flight.
I knew that piece was to rotted and cracked. Should have just grabbed another piece.
I wonder how it would have came out if you stabilized it with Cactus juice? I have used it before and seems to be really good for applications like this. Love your work and videos bud! Thanks
It's a testament to tenacity, Ken!
I must admit, I LOL'd really hard when that rotten piece came off the spur center the second time!!
Beautiful recovery from a terrible lump of wood. Thanks for sharing this insightful video. Wishing you and your family a blessed spring season. Peace brother
Thank you. Hope you have a great Spring also.
Amazing save!! You should be very proud. I love all the different greens in it.
Thanks so much!
You're not being vain - it's absolutely beautiful! I love the colours and the shape. It's gorgeous.
😀 Thank you
Perseverance wins the day. It turned out beautiful! It's funny how the bigger the challenge, the more confidence you have to attempt things that seemed impossible beforehand. Way to go!
This video was so satisfying! I love you didnt give up after many obstacles! The affects of the pours is amazing and it is an a gorgeous piece.... definitely living up to the name! I am not a wood worker at all but your videos are one of my favorites to watch! Thank you for taking the time to share and make these inspiring videos!!! Best wishes from Canada:)
Thank you so much Andrea. I always appreciate kind words.
Sticktoitness paid off in huge dividends. What a great piece, I love the contrasting colors. Great job.
That is a great save! One of the best I have seen you do, it resisted but you didn’t give in. The end result is to be proud of. I did enjoy the pouring music as always 😁. Thankyou Mr Ken.
Thank you Alison. It was a fun turn even with all the issues.
It turned out to be a really gorgeous piece! I'm glad you still kept your sense of humor through it all.

❤🙃
One of my favorites so far…and the blood sweat and tears that went into the piece! Amazing!
Love the name of this project and it came out looking awesome. Great work Ken.
Thanks 👍
After so many set backs and so much resin, it came out beautifully! I really like how the stem you made isn't perfect, looks likes a real apple stem!
Fight, fight , fight !
Congratulations you won.
Looks awesome.
Very very good! At some point I wasn’t sure if would come to anything but it’s you turning and Voilà ! A beauty!
I almost gave up about half way through. The wife convinced me to continue.
This was worth every minute of the frustration and hassle, and the neon green definitely gives off “Secret of the Ooze” vibes
keep going and you will eventually have a all resin bowl. How ever your persistence has payed off once again. Great job
it turned out incredible... as usual...nice job, thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much 😊
A spectacular save! And the name sure fits as well! You wanna gush over that piece, you just go ahead & gush! You've earned it!
Thank you.
I absolutely LOVE it. I commend you on your perseverance too.
Great video man and great bowl. Don't hurt yourself. You had be really worried there a few times.
I worried myself too. lol
Gotta say that effort to get that demon across the line was legend.
Best save through will yet.
Hey, we love your pouring music, sorry that some don't. Hope you keep it. And congratulations on that beautiful bowl - you worked your butt off for that one.
I'm a pretty big fan of the pouring music too. Thank you.
Love the pouring music & the tenacity you show by forcing that wood to bend to your will.
Thank you.
Wow! Way to go with keeping your cool. You kept at it and the results are amazing. Glad you had your face shield on Ken and I can't wait to see what you come up with in your next video. You Rawk!
Thanks so much!!
That turned out well worth all that effort! Beautiful! Glad you stuck with it.
Thank you Karen
I love the colors together! It looks AMAZING. No matter how many problems that come along, you always show a beautiful piece. I’d love to have a hollower or a easy wood carbide tools so I could make some stuff. My bowl gouge it to the bottom and I can’t sharpen it anymore. I love the music and pour music!
This turned out amazing! I love the top on it too!
There is always the one that just kick us in the behind. And they are the ones that are the most beautiful. This one is one of those I think. Very beautiful indeed. thanks for picking it back up and sharing it with us. 🌿 👍👍👍👍👍
Absolutely! Thank you
To quote my brother, "It is what it is and it will be what it will be." Awesome job. Love how you hung in there and refused to give up. Deserves an honored place on your desk. It is gorgeous. 💕😊💕
Incredible recovery I’m truly impressed kudos to you brother keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thanks Chris.
Strongly disagree!!! This is not a Shelf of Shame😡🤬! It's a Shelf full of New Ideas and Possibilities 😇😜😍! They just need a little more time to “ripen”😜💖👍.
From Germany with love 💖
Ken that poisonous apple bowl just goes to show that through trials and tribulations anything and everything can be done. Eventhough it gave you aggravation and fits, it came out awesome. Love the colors.
Thanks Steve. I appreciate the kind words
*Stunning Piece of Craftsmanship!*
You have more determination and patience than me. That wood turned into a full piece of resin, but what a showpiece!
Amazing work that deserves a subscriber and a like. I’ll be looking with interest into your past videos.
Thank you. I appreciate that. I will say I almost threw the thing out the window many times. But in the end I just laughed.
It was a lot of work but you made a beautiful piece. I'm always so impressed with your creations. And for the record, I love the music! Keep it up 🤠
You're sure tenacious to the max...patience has its reward...and you did....it's gorgeous 🥰🥰🥰
😊 thank you
This thing really did NOT want to get turned! I've seen some fight you bad before, but I think this one takes the cake! That said, I'm glad you kept at it, it looks great!
Thanks Carol.
You should always be proud of your work! You do amazing things, that most people wouldn’t even try to tackle. That bowl turned out BEAUTIFUL!
I appreciate that! Thank you
You are not vain because you like something you created!! You should like your work. Actually it really doesn’t matter of anyone else likes your work as long as you do, that’s why you do it because you like and enjoy it. So ‘raspberry’ anyone who says you’re vain! It’s a spectacular piece!!
Thank you Catherine.
Once again, you've done an awesome job on a project I would have ditched long ago. I admire your patience with a piece that was a total pain in the butt to turn but you did it. You've got my respect with this one. Seems like there's more resin than wood LOL. Keep up the good work Ken. You're awesome!!
I think this piece is aptly named! It looks really good, despite your difficulties! Well done!
Thanks Stephanie.
Glad you spent the time making it work, that is absolutely very cool.
This bowl took sooooo long. But worth it in the end. Thanks
Dang, but that came out pretty! I do so admire your persistance and creativity when a piece has you backed into a corner.
I love the videos smashing bowl. best bits of all your videos is you tell people what tools and products your using. as most don't.
Thanks Simon 👍
Nice recovery Ken.. I'm glad you stuck with it mate.
Thanks 👍
That's beautiful. Thank you for sharing
You are one determined man! It turned out beautiful.
Thank you Casey
I really love this piece. I would have given up on it. I've never seen the suction pot before. Does the epoxy cure faster?
You are certainly tenacious my friend! Amazing result though! Nice work!
Thank you very much!
What you turn into art, I'd have turned into firewood. That rotten wood wouldn't have even entered the shop.
It turned out gorgeous !
This is right up with your best!! Love it
I love it! You never gave up and the end result is spectacular
Thank you so much!
That's an Awesome Bowl, Ken! Great Job, Brother!
