Quick question: On average (since each case may be different), what is the total amount of complete turns for the Homeoblock appliance? Assuming I turn it twice a month (every two weeks). That should be about 24 turns in one year and conclusively 48 turns for two years. Also how many milimiters is a complete turn? I am in my 5th turn so far. I have been turning it every two weeks. Great questions. The appliance typically has 24 turns @ 1/4mm per turn. So it maxes out at 6mm. A second appliance can be made to get more. Turn when it gets loose. Usually every 2-4 weeks. Check in with your doctor. Good luck
Thank you for responding so quickly to my question. Since I have 19 turns left, that means I have about 10 months left (if of course another appliance is not needed for more expansion) I'll continue to turn it every two weeks, because my teeth seem fine with that.
