nice thank you!! for me it helped to just force the mirror into the closed position. then it folded outward normally and stopped in the regular position. afterwards NEITHER mirror worked so I put both into inward position manually and tried around a few times. for some reason it only worked once I was inside the car. anyways - good luck to everybody with this!!
@@DocMackGarage I totally didn’t know that before I commented that because I found out. Lol I had that problem with both my mirrors so I just cut that white wire. Thank you for your video tho! Did good job explaining

@AKEUC-w9l There is also a 3 option discussed. The thing about owning BMWs is you can't have it cheap and problem free, either spend money or a DIY fix.

Sorry mate, but it’s not a “how to fix it”. It’s how to break it .
Cut the wire is not a solution. It’s a “downgrade”
I did show how to calibrate the mirror in this video aswell, so the wire option is the last resort .
@@DocMackGarage
right! why not just pull the fuse out?
@@brandoncalkins2512 if you pull the fuse out you will lose function to the mirror adjustment, reverse mirror , and mirror heater.

So you didn't fix it you broke it😮
@AKEUC-w9l Surely enough you saw the rest of the 2 options, unless you are one who does not watch the full video then wonder why I did what I did 😉
@DocMackGarage it's annoying but the other option is to buy new id rather not snip wires nor rip it apart
