Haha thanks Mike. Those ducks were my little buddies that day. Hung out with me a lot, even walking into the bivvy a few times. I think they were snacking on the crumbs from my pack bait 🤣
Thanks Magic. The sling got the job done, fortunately. I thought I might have to repack the car, go home and get the net lol. That was a nice channel cat. I should have got a weight on him.
Another great video! Over the few years I’ve been carp fishing I’ve made a check list of everything i need before going and I check it twice lol. Nothing like driving 45 mins away just to find out I forgot my dang bait!
Lol I need to start doing that. It's a bummer forgetting a critical piece of equipment. I kayak fish a lot and have forgotten my paddle on a couple of occasions, 40+ minutes from home. After having unloaded everything from the car haha. Thanks Zach!
loving your videos. your enthusiasm & excitement resonates with my own fishing & makes me want to make a trip to the Senaeca to fish there one day. keep doing it fitz.
Oh oh pulled one of my moves and forgot an important item but from what I hear, Marines make do so I’m pretty sure you’ll be ok. Double Trouble right off the bat. Improvising using the sling as a net ….thats what I’m talking about…. making do. Got some beauties in the high teens. Even that cat was a nice one. Yeah buddy…broke 20 . Awesome job pal ! Glad the storms stayed away.
Luckily that sloped area was there for landing them in the sling. Otherwise, I might have had to repack the car, go home and get the net. The wall is a couple of feet above water. Would have been near impossible landing anything from there without a net. Thanks brother!
hey fitzy, i was wondering if you tend to prebait these spots or just go for it. i’ve found it really difficult on larger waters to “find” fish without a lot of consistent prebaiting.
I've never personally prebaited a spot, though I have fished the same spot multiple times within a short period and that acts like prebaiting. This particular location actually gets a fair amount of carp anglers, so it keeps the fish in the area I think. A lot of times though, I go in blind and hope for the best or go to a spot where I've had success before in the past. Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't. Thanks Philip!
Knew the 20lber was about Fitz, now its just a 30 to complete the set😀. Apologies for not getting back to you sooner brother, was away with the grandkids in the RV. I will email you in a couple of days brother. I have a few other vids to catch up with. I have sorted a few bits to send over and I will get the mailing address when I email you, Stay safe brother and keep catching.
Thanks so much Marc and no worries at all. Hope you had a great time with the grandkids. That's some quality time spent there. Talk to you soon by email brother.
Hey man I really like this video, I subscribed you and definitely will see more of you , Would you please send me the location of this nice spot, it’s even good for compiling, thanks
Awesome video sir! I am still trying to catch my first carp! How well does your packed bait stay on the hook? Mine keeps falling off after a while, any advice?
Typically if your bait is falling off your lead/hook it means your pack bait is too dry and or your trying to cast a mile. Corn syrup is a good alternative to keep with you when fishing if bait is too dry. Also, test your pack bait before going. Form a normal ball and throw it in water and make sure it starts to break down around a minute or so.
honestly u just gotta keep messing with your ingredient ratio until the consistency is good. you want it easy to pack, dry enough that it doesn’t slide off, but wet enough that is doesn’t flake or crumble.
Lots of good advice here. Just my personal opinion, but the ratio I use seems to work pretty well at being the right consistency (42-44 ounces of Quaker Instant Oates, 2 cans of sweet cream corn and 2 packets of Jello). I halve that recipe if I'm only going out for a few hours. I make it that morning or the night before, so by the time I get setup to fish, it's had a little time to set. If it dries out on you, you can add some river or lake water to it, to goop it up a bit. I love the idea of having some corn syrup on hand to use.
Will try Steve. I think you've mentioned this to me before. I'll try and cup the fish with my fingers instead of the palm of my hand. I always worry about dropping the fish though 🫨
Way to go Fitzy! Catching some fish and cleaning up the water. Nicely done without your net. Great spot with ducks chillin, not stressful at all.😎❤️👍😂
Haha thanks Mike. Those ducks were my little buddies that day. Hung out with me a lot, even walking into the bivvy a few times. I think they were snacking on the crumbs from my pack bait 🤣
Dude.... I applaud the use of the sling. I wouldn't have ever thought of that
Haha thanks brother! Luckily there was easy access to the water for it to work
22 pounder no net...your showing off those skillz brother..love the bivvy gear gear gear. Mr fat cat was amazing

Thanks so much, James! Seneca River has some nice fish and some nice access.

Haha, almost as bad (but not quite) as forgetting your paddle when kayak fishing, which I've done a couple of times 🤣 Thanks Don!
Forget the net, time before you forget the sling.........😆
I'm a dizzy Daisy sometime Mike 🤣
Did your part for the day cleaning up some of Three Rivers intersection
Heck yeah I did. I should get some kind of environmental medal or something 🏅
Forgetting an essential piece of equipment can be such a headache, but at least you were able to catch fish. You made it work though!
Luckily that sloped area was there for landing them in the sling. Otherwise, I might have had to repack the car, go home and get the net. The wall is a couple of feet above water. Would have been near impossible landing anything from there without a net. Thanks brother!
Good job 👍
Thanks brother 👍
2 fish on, a weird chair thing, no net, of course!
Haha it was a goofy start to the session Dan!

I forgot my net a couple sessions ago and I fish with 13 ft rods lol. What a pain that was.
Haha oh yeah. Luckily I had the 9fts on this outing. My last session out I broke my net 1st thing. Luckily I had brought a 2nd one lol

I leave in San Antonio, I’ll be happy and appreciate it if you send me a good location around me and Austin
Sorry, buddy. I don't know of any spots in Texas. I've only been there once, many years ago, and it wasn't to fish.

خیلی عالی.من کپور گیر حرفه ای از ایران هستم
بسیار از شما متشکرم. من دوست دارم ایران و ماهی کپور را ببینم.
Try and show less fingers on the rear, great angling bud 👍
