You should try citric acid, dissolve about a half a kilo in 10liters of warm/hot water, then fill up the system with it and use the car as usual. 24-48 hour later flush it well, and than fill up with coolant.

Won’t citric acid eat the rubber? I honestly don’t know, but I’ve used diluted citric acid to clean corrosion off of brass/copper, and it 1) eats the metal and 2) will eat heavy duty enamel paint off of a floor.
Citric acid is pretty awesome, but I’m not sure if I’d trust it in a car…. But I’m a novice. Just stating my thoughts hoping for insight.

I tried this in the system for 5 hours running errands etc and it did nothing, waste of time

If your coolant system contains more than 12 gallons and you only used one bottle, then your concentration level was too low to be optimally effective and you'll need to add an additional bottle of BlueDevil coolant system flush to get the desired result.

Thermocure would take all that out. That stuff does wonders.

And you wonder why your coolant system is rusted by adding tap water! Use distilled water!

The problem isn't always the radiator itself. It's going to also be stuck in hoses, the water pump housing, water pump, thermostat and thermostat housing and ter heater pump.
I've been flushing my system put continuously and had stared off witu too bottled of some stuff I think called Mac as I was imma small torn at the time and they were very limited at that Nampa. Did one hole bottle liel instructions said for 30 mind but habe let it idle for an hour and half. Still. Dirty. I've been using sips at a girl from the second bottle and have been topping up witu distilled water and idle for hour and half each cycle. Did one run and drove 40 mins away and the the morning it was very full of rust when draining and it filled my entire radiant witu rust. My next flush I'm contemplating either Blue Devil or Thermocare....

Coolant would be good to add…one of coolants functions is anti rust.

@@williamjones3480 and how many times did it take yours I used distilled good water to flush it all out when it was done. But how many times did it take you to make sure it was all flushed out after?? Plus I have a big V8 hemi

@@darthnevik5505 I’m actively sitting in my car with it running now. I guess I will have to answer you this afternoon sometime.
I think chrisfix used it and he flushed 3 times afterward. (But I could be completely mistaken. It’s been a while.)
I’m just going to do it until the water is clear after 30 minute run cycles, then letting it cool.

@@williamjones3480 make sure to bleed that cooling system once all the water
Comes out clear I used distilled water because ima perfectionist. But anyways I did it for about a hour. And ran water till it came out clear but once I put fresh antifreeze/coolant you need to bleed that thing. With it running. Just squeeze the upper house and get all those bubbles out

@@darthnevik5505 I bleed from the bleed screw above the heater hose. Is that wrong? It’s the highest point in the system.
