Since the last direct was so good I'm scared this one is gonna be kinda weak, but obviously I hope it'll be really great. I think this one will set the tone for the rest of the Switch's life, if it'll be a slow and mostly empty death or if it'll keep the games coming all the way to the end. I honestly don't have too many expectations for tomorrow, so when Donkey Kong comes swinging on screen I'm going to scream

I love that this is serious compared to the last one! I’ve never watched a direct as it was streaming, but that Professor Layton announcement brought me so much joy that I am considering actually watching this one! Let’s hope it’s a good one!

Realistically I expect Nintendo to announce more on Pikmin 4 and the new Professor Layton, the next wave of courses for Mario Kart DLC, and maybe CTR and Persona
i doubt that nintendo will be announcing a release date for it because there isn't enough city tracks to fill in the cup and plus vancouver is in wave 6 i just think its going to be like wave 4 have a reveal trailer of 2 tracks and some characters aka pauline kamek diddy kong funky kong or petey piranha who knows

The only thing I’m hoping for in this direct is a port of Kirby: Battle Royale. Which probably won’t happen, but hey, Miitopia got a port, so I’m sure Kirby: Battle Royale will, too.

We've gotten Splat 3 and We've Gotten TOTK. Both sequels to very popular game while being on the same console. My money is on the final announcement being of Mario Oddessy 2 coming out Late December or Early January for the holiday season.

I am one of the people who thinks there’s a good chance a Geneology of the Holy War remake is getting announced. It’s been rumoured for a while and if a SNES classic is getting updated there’s a decent chance it’s that. Also think they might announce Metroid Prime 2 getting remastered.
MGS ports would be awesome! They already have 3 on the 3DS so why not?
Mostly I’m going to hold onto the vain hope GameCube games are getting added to NSO. Sure they keep selling remasters and ports of the really popular ones but that doesn’t mean anything right? Right? They can’t keep Skies of Arcadia locked to the GameCube forever right? (Also Nintendo speed up the rate you’re drip-feeding the games on that service holy crap)

I LOVE TTYD, but it has so many issues, like backtracking the game's biggest issue and needs to be addressed more than anything else!
There is a lack of harder difficulty options. There is this one badge that makes Mario take double damage and make him slower, but there is no bonus effect like more coins or something. How about rather than making a badge that gives no benefits, how about a hard mode, where Mario AND partners take double damage, more tricky enemies, with more health, more aggressive behavior on the overworld, etc. Outside of combat, they can change up overworld puzzles and make them harder! Maybe they can add new bosses to the hard mode and new awards! That would be awesome! This mode can be a serious gamechanger and really convince older players to get the remake.
The game also removed Chuck Quizmo, so there are so many really bad star piece locations. To fix this, I would bring back Chuck, where he would function the exact same way as he did in PM64, but after the 20th quiz, he opens a location on Rougeport where you can grind out the rest of the quizzes all in one location for a price, but you can still occasionally see him in towns for free.
The game NEEDS better camera angles that don't make the world look like a set of hallways. TTYD has so many memorable and interesting locations, it's such a shame that all the camera angles for each of these places look the exact same. This is an issue that has plagued every Paper Mario game (besides Origami King actually), but TTYD is the game where this is the most noticeable, I feel like.
The game should also let the player take multiple troubles (side quests) all at once. The fact that you can only do one at a time just perpetuates the issue of constantly backtracking in the game.
The game should also reward you for finding multiple recipes, and I feel like there should be multiple cooks throughout the game, so that it's more convenient to interact with the system. I believe partners should maybe have their own separate item inventory. It would add more strategy and you would be able to carry more items!
I think they need to rebalance some of the partners so that they don't have so much HP so that they aren't just meat shields, so let's give the player a consequence for putting the partners in front of Mario.
Something I would take from Origami King and Color Splash is the interactive world from those games, where it felt like every little object could be messed with. That was always kinda fun to play with. I also liked how expressive the characters of those games were, giving different facial reactions depending on what they were talking about. In TTYD, characters barely emote. Like, when the mafia find out that their boss is sick in TTYD, they sound worried, but look boring. Let's also make the characters interactive, where you can whack them with your hammer, but also spin at them and ground pound on them, where they each give a separate animation!
There is so much exposition in this game and it can be a little dull. If the characters reacted more to what they were saying, the dialogue would be less dull, but also how about show some more stuff on the screen when they are talking, so that it's more "show, don't tell"! Like, for instance, on the roof in Rogueport, there is a guy that tells you the lore of the game, but it's all a dialogue sequence, how about they turn that into a cut scene! There can be more instance of that too throughout the game I am sure too!
In chapter 3, the enemy gauntlet is fun and all, but resting after each battle makes it too easy. If there is a hard mode, they should remove the ability rest maybe, or maybe make each encounter feel like a mini boss. Also, they should tell you what you will encounter beforehand so that you can create a badge setup beforehand.
Finally, as a bonus, it would be nice if they added more secrets, badges, optional locations, optional bosses, enemy variety, hidden challenges, side quests, and references to Super Paper Mario and Paper Mario 64 (like every partner from PM64 being hidden somewhere in the game in the post-game)! The original TTYD did have all of these things, but if the remake can not only maintain what was there before, but expand it, then I feel like this can be the ultimate Paper Mario game and perhaps one of Nintendo's greatest games of all time!
You know. Chapter 7 took that game from a solid 9/10 to an 8.5. I dread it every replay, and usually throw on a podcast with it.

You forgot more Wii U ports like Xenoblade Chronicles X and Super Mario Galaxy 2 are likely. There's also the chance of Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1 will show up somewhere in their sizzle reel, Sonic Superstars and Origins Plus, the Fire Emblem: Geneology of the Holy War remake, a Tales port likely Tales of Arise, and maybe that Star Ocean 2 remake that just got leak a few days ago.
I definitely anticipate the XCX port and I think more Tales is likely as well, but with them both having recent releases, I think they'll need a bit more downtime. Star Ocean, though, you are absolutely correct on
