I love this band so much. I naturally gravitate towards the drummers, so my first thought was "holy crap, Sput is a damn beast here!" and then I started watching Mono and was like "okay, there is no doubt why Prince came knocking on his door", then I proceeded to say similar things for the rest of the band when I focused on their specific parts. I already got my tickets for their show in my town in a couple of months and I can't freaking wait!
@@martinkent_ Sorry I'm a little late to reply, but it was just as amazing as I had hoped! Not only was Ghost-Note more than worthy of the price for admission (I think I paid $20 to get in) but the opener they had was another local group called the BBC (Brandon Brown Collective) and HOLY SHIT did they bring the funk! They also have a ridiculously good drummer called Stanley Randolph (who has toured with Stevie Wonder multiple times) who can sit in the pocket better than anyone I've ever heard! Their whole band was on fire, though! Concert tickets are usually so expensive nowadays that sometimes it's a struggle to justify the cost. The band you're paying to see really needs to bring it to feel satisfied. Well, I can say this. For $20, this was one of the few times where I felt like I was ripping *them* off! I would gladly pay more than double that price to have a night like that again. It was also, sadly, the last concert I got to go to before the Covid nightmare began and everything got shut down :(
