Hello, I stumbled across your video because Funwhole is currently my absolute favourite company in the world of terminal blocks. I used the audio track in German and 95% of the time everything was translated correctly, even the grammar and cultural expressions were mostly translated well. There are a few small lapses where the AI voice speaks a little too fast and gets confused, but it still works very well and really helps to overcome language barriers. The set is really great. I can't wait to see what else Funwhole has to offer in the future.
I've built a few of the Funwhole sets and after your review bought the cyberpunk apartments with your link and now i need this motel! Feel the same way, only thing they need to take Lego is to build more adventurous sets like Spaceships, transformers, brickheadz, etc... that kind of thing.
That hotel totally looks like the decades-old ones in crime shows or movies where a drug deal has gone bad, a hooker winds up dead, the cops have to have an undercover stakeout, etc. :) But either way, a super cool set! I like how Funwhole keeps one-upping themselves, like with the big sign on the right.
Hahah totally. They're inspired by local designs, because 90% of the set up in mainland China is like this...but it's kinda satisfying taking a piss while showering into the toilet and having to use a showerhead to wash it clean hahaha.

This really looks great. I like it even more than the cyberpunk cafe. On my shelve I’d ad a 16 wide baseplate to the right, tile it as a road matching the driveway and further to the right a clone of the Lego diner with some diy lightning. Like these string lights. I have a Europe section, now I could rearrange some planks for an American city.
I agree. I actually prefer with no lights. I’ve always complained about them lol. But I figure since I’m doing this for them I’ll build with them in hahahah.
I only just learned about FunWhole this month and I lvoe the sets of theirs I got around christmas. This one does look interesting for sure. Honestly, my only gripe with FunWhole is the light system. It's nice that it's actually built INTO the model rather than just being something you glue onto the bricks, but it also makes it really annoying to put together because the wires aren't the easiest thing to control. Especially not when you also need to peel off the back of one of the elements to stick it into a 1x4 tile.
I agree with the lighting. I actually despise lighting kits and I happily mention that in past videos. The first funwhole kit I reviewed was when they just announced the brand and I didn't even bother putting the lights in hahah. I feel they're better now but yea, still have to be careful with the wires. They could implement the piece that's used with the car and just stick them hidden with minimal wiring...but then again you'd have to keep switching them on and off somewhere. You're right with the little sticker parts too..I think most fall off over time.

Dug it Brother !!!!!!! I am loving this set . It definitely reminds me of some Route 66 and the motels from back in the day. I remember them setting out with only a humble amount of kits. Now you get anything from city and town vibe , all the way to the Old West and Cyberpunk to the Steampunk and fantasy . I am definitely glad we have Funwhole and Cobi. Lego has got competition now. Sorry about the late reply Brother , broke my foot , so I am off duty for a while. I love the classic car build , reminds me of GM and Chevy /Caddie a little bit.
Thanks for the review. Nice to get another one before the end of the year. This is a nice set and apparently Lego only has only one motel set and it's part of Fabuland. So another good choice of Funwhole to choose this type of building. It probably would make more sense to have both rooms exactly the same. Of course now the manager can charge more for the one with a balcony. The highlights for me are the car and the big billboard. Maybe two figures fit in the car more easily if you switch the slopes on top of the door sides? I think the figures in general would be better received if they were designed to interact with the furniture. I tried out the German language option for a few minutes. It sounded okay, but when you chanted the Sugar Hill line it translated Holiday (Inn) as Urlaub which means vacation. So it's correct, the function just doesn't recognize brands. Maybe UA-cam will offer it as an option to companies for a small fee in the future. ;-)

I have 571 vids uploaded since the channel started. I think I have maybe 20-30 I built but never got around to building them. so let's top that off to 600 sets that's taken up my entire office and not including the backlog which is more than 20 sets that are already getting old...scary when I think about it lol. I've run out of the same things lol.
A work of brick art 🖼 these sets are! A new standard! These are true models of a miniature world! This has surpassed lego or any other brick building sets!
I wish the interior slides out like their record store set. Kind of disappointed they didn’t use that building technique. I also thought the wires were too exposed in the rooms. Bathroom too small and beds too small. The signs and printed pieces look cool although I’m not a big fan of the 70s look. This will be a set im skipping on. I’m excited to see more of the street fusion theme and town life. I really want to see more unique building techniques which would facilitate access to the interior. I think so far their record store was the best build and most unique because of the way it was built.
No markings on the studs. I think only a few do that. Englighten/Qman/Keeppley = ENLI. Cada has cada printed on them. That's all I can remember right now.
The ones behind me I have reviewed. Just go back a couple videos and you'll start to see them. I probably won't do any for a while as the impact wasn't as strong as they wished. They should send the bigger boys, but that was entirely up to them. Maybe in the near future I'll do more. Fun otherwise, I really enjoyed them.
the set is good, the only problem for me is from the color combine just look not match. maybe its gonna be good if we recolor the second floor with more vibrant (And warm?)
A while ago I was reading a review for an older funwhole set that left me thinking of you Scottie...the person's only complaint was that there were NO Stickers and that made her sad 😂😂😂
This set just-just misses the mark -- which means it's still very good. On second floor I wish less space devoted to balcony and given to rooms...on first no nedd for a garage in a motel (or a car really) and more room devoted to office/bar (two separate doaces)...and jukebox not lighted a huge miss.
Yea you're right, if no car that bar could've stretched across and even another one or two small rooms above. Just remove the distracting green area and make a driveway there. Shame on that jukebox...they did vending machines so I don't see why not.

Exactly, although the set may not be perfect (small rooms) they chose a great set that many will enjoy for the diff themes.

Yea, I think this set if you're into the motel vintage look, is stunning but only from the outside. I do like the bar though!

Yea the second floor white color walls does stand out at least in the dark you can't tell haha.
