Billie Burke-flighty-beyond-belief matriarch or Glenda the "Good Witch" (nice range). Dan Duryea - the not-so-poor-man's Richard Widmark for bad-guy roles. Victor McLaglen-Mr. comic relief for John Ford movies. Red Skelton and Jack Oakey both provided comic relief for many destined-for-Broadway-stardom movie heroines. Edna Mae Oliver - the archetypal Dickens eccentric-older-woman character.
