How Good Is The Epiphone Jerry Cantrell Wino Les Paul?? - Review And Demo

- In this video we take a look at the Jerry Cantrell Wino Epiphone Les Paul Custom. I was very impressed with the sound quality and feel of this guitar. The 9 hole weight relieved body is very comfortable and the tone this thing emits is wonderful. If has a Mahogany body and neck, Grover rotomatic tuners, ebont fretboard and an Alnico Class Pro neck pickup and 498T pro pickup in the bridge. The guitar features gold hardware and a stunning wine red paint job and double binding. I hope you enjoy the video and hope it helps you make a choice if you are considering this model. I personally was very impressed. Please subscribe!

Beautiful! I have several Epiphone Les Pauls and they just keep getting better
I have to agree with on the Epiphone Guitars, they are really nice and affordable to.
Epiphone has really upped their game in the last few years. I was at GC about a week ago and they had a new Epi gold top with a mat finish on sale for $449. If I hadn’t pulled the trigger on another guitar, I would’ve bought it home.
I collect Epiphone signature models, & I’m an AIC fan, so this was a no brainer for me. I have the Greeny, the Adam Jones, the Alex Lifeson, & this one is by far my favorite as far as aesthetics, sound & feel. I don’t know why, but this guitar is just perfect in every way. The colorway just works, the pickups sound fantastic, the neck feels amazing, the weight is perfect. I actually got mine for $650 used with case, but it was mint. Like many of my signature models, I have this hanging on my wall with a framed pic of Jerry & the guitar hanging next to it. It looks, feels & plays so good, I’m tempted to buy another one to be a player. Great vid Marty!
I saw Jerry live recently and he plays his Epiphone sigs
Looks like you were struggling to control GUITAR FACE. lol. Nice playing dude. Keeping Eddies' memory alive. Love it.
That guitar looks and sounds incredible !!
I am seriously considering this guitar. I generally shy away from signature models but this seems like a beautiful guitar with a lot of great features. Les Pauls can be heavy. I like that it has weight relief. Thanks for an informative vid.
Its beautiful man... I would like it much better it it had the "Inspired by gibson headstock"
That Epiphone Les Paul is one of best bargains by them a custom for less than a "G" plus Gibson pickups and a Ebony fretboard and great playing as always Marty 🤘
Another solid review. I really appreciate the time you spend creating great content. I also think Epiphone has really improved vastly over the last several years. Loved your 1958 Korina Epiphone I went out and bought one. I love it and blame you 🎉
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video and the Korina is a great guitar! 😎 I play my quite frequently. I kinda wanna get the sister V one day !
Cool beans! Well, not beans? That is a hot tamale! Ok, not Tamale either! That's a nice guitar! That's the ticket!😆 Thanks Marty 🤘
Love my Epiphones! This is an excellent guitar. Played this in Guitar Center awhile back.
Absolutely a Sweet Guitar.
🤘👽 Sounds & Looks Awesome Marty ✌️❤️🤘👽
Thanks man! I agree, it’s a killer guitar.
I think the bridge is a "98T Pro" basically left off the "4" but to me it sounds great! I got one of these are few months ago, the sound fit and finish is all great! The fretboard was nasty as are almost all epiphones but once I cleaned and did a setup it's been pretty fantastic. Truly one of the best playing LPs I have Gibson or Epi. I still may but a 490R/498T set in at some point but definitely not in a rush as I expected to be. Nice review!
Yeah a little Man in the Box - great stuff, nice looking fiddle!
I almost got that while waiting on the MKH model either way I couldn't miss 👍👊
Thanks Marty! Sounds pretty good to me! I'll be at Cantrell's show on Valentines Day in two weeks. I'll let ya know if he plays one. Probably not, I guess, but maybe.
When I saw him he played mostly his nighthawk ... played the Les Paul on 2 songs.
He plays them live
Pretty guitar; I wish both PUPs had covers....that is my favorite look. I agree; I really like the Epiphone guitars I have.
I had one of these - only had it for a few days then sent it back as I finally decided to pull the trigger on a Gibson Les Paul Standard - but I must say the quality of this Epiphone was fantastic. The colour is also lovely.
Which standard did you get? I got the P90 gold top back in November. Actually traded my Epi LP in on it.
@donaldabel1233 i got the Bourbon burst double humbucker last March
@ beautiful. I know a lot of people hate on LP because of price, But you know they are fine instruments. Just holding, looking, feeling. Work of art.
Agree with Epiphone raising the bar these days. Great value!
I’ve got an Epi AJ 79 and it’s killer
Great vid!
Thanks Dude! 😎
I dig the 498T sound! Color is really nice though It’s to bad you had to work in the fret ends for that price range.
It's a great pickup man. Both sound excellent. The neck was just dry... sadly without nibs that's the issue even high end fenders face.
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker So that’s what they call those things the contact the fret ends and binding. Thank Marty, I always curious to what they were and do.
You know Marty, the guitar's cool and all but I enjoyed the harmonic minor and Mixolydian 7th riffage. \m/
Sounds great.
Big Cantrell fan but kind of got scared off the Epi Les Pauls after having bought a Standard 60 that I never got along with. Didn't love the neck and the frets were pretty bad when it arrived, although nothing a file couldn't fix. The look of this one is stunning tho and it sounds huge.
Some cleans with signal chain?
Cheerios
The new shape of the headstock is great. The old Epi ones not so much
It needs the inspired by version ala adam jones
Do you feel it is worth $850.00?
I love the color but the mismatched pickups just bother me.
I didn't like the JC wino because of the super fat neck. The regular Les Paul custom with gold uumbucker or the current p90 custom have nice necks from the ones I played in guitar center so I'd rather get one of those other the JC wino.
Was allowed myself another guitar purchase last month...came down to epiphone slash, epiphone cantrell or a fender player stratocaster
I took the strat, mainly because have couple epiphone les pauls and like stratocasters
Been eyeing the cantrell, they look great
Still doubting my decision, ...this video doesn't help...lol
Drop dead legs on a Les Paul how dare you 😊
WINO? Not every Guitar Player is a Raging Alcoholic.
Lmao
Not a single Jerry riff
I used to really love LP’s , and still do, but the lack of upper fret access stops me from buying them.
