He also walks by several red emergency toolboxes which spawn with flashlights inside. And he missed the button on his hotbar that would have turned on the small light on his PDA.

Fun Fact: Because the AI can harm things it cannot confirm as human, putting on a fursuit lets the AI crush you to death in a firelock. Keep your ID on, folks!

@JediMasterYoda66 To be fair, SS13 has much more players, and the content significantly outweighs ss14, also movement can be hard to use for ss13 players. Game has extreme potential in the future however, since it runs much better. At the moment, ss13 beats it for content, the controls simply take a few games to get used to for ss13.

At the moment, ss14’s still in development and still lack content Sss13 has But I’m already giving it a plus for the movement, cus the shifting in 13 (At times) can be unfortunately timed (Like not being able to go in a room properly cus 2 people are going in the same directions)

I love Space Station 14 man. Such a great game, such a great community. It isn't anywhere near as fully featured at 13 yet, but it has made tremendous strides in the short time that it's been out and the changelogs just keep rolling in. Starting as a passenger with no responsibilities is great for initially feeling out the game. Would recommend reading the guidebook a bit though so you have a better chance to defend yourself from critters/nuclear operatives/syndicate agents/unfunny clowns though.
I have been around the ss13 space for a long time. 14 needs more time in the oven but its cool that you get to see some tg style code. There are a lot of different codebases beside goon, I always suggest exploring them!
You'd be surprised to learn how playable SS14 actually is nowadays, it's nowhere close to 13 but their progress is absolutely nothing to scoff at either. It's at a point that it's honestly pretty hard to tell there's features missing unless you played SS13 and that's exactly their fanbase, people who doesn't care about SS13. I'd love seeing CHARBORG play on Monke tho.
@@gravynavy516 the contrast with 13: x5 better optimization, sounds and graphics arent crusty af so easier to understand the screen, MUCH better chat. 14 is behind in content and mechanical depth but as long as you are not a space wizard, you will barely notice it on regular mode (crew station)

@CHRBRG i would recommend switching the chat layout to separated, the next time you play, helps a lot with keeping track of whats going on in the chat and radio 👍👍 also just looks better imo
Lagging issue : - ethernet, never Wifi - make sure you're using Cat 7 cables - if you are far from your modem, use a PLC (CPL), no wifi, NEVER - check your drivers - make sure that something isn't consuming your connection at the same time (windows update for example) - make sure that your expensive equipment is protected by an inverter(UPS/APC), as electrical problems can have a damaging effect on the internet. - check that your modem isn't from the last century, dust often accumulates on it. - reboot the PC and the modem, sometimes this helps

You are right about them making SS13 into a new engine. The BYOND engine was created in 1996, and SS13 in 2003. It's a old game! There were a lot of attempts to make SS13 into different engines. However, it was practically a curse. Development hell, devs are only doing it for money and leaving. There is a second steam release called Unity Station-different team.
