My uncle got me into fishing .he use to take me to Newport harbor and he would rent a little motor boat and we would have a stringer of sand bass spotted bay bass and halibut. Just amazing Being a 16 yr old .then he would take me.on the half day boats out of Newport once they started catching the sea bass .and then when I would catch the big fish on the half day boat he would go all in and we would take out the second half day boat and of course he had his money banking on me and put me in the pot and I catch a 10lb sea bass..and he is so excited and then some.old timer would catch 2 50 lb sea bass .lol.and take the pot.. My uncle.was a gambler .he's the one that got me Into fishing.he actualy bought a friend of mines boat for me. .Rick Crawford. We went to school together.my uncle bought his first bass boat of him for me .that was late 90s. My first boat. 1983 17ft deep v Sea Nymph Fishing Machine with decks trolling motor side consol with a 75horse mariner.with power trim. It was a very well known bass fisherman's boat in San diego and I forgot his name.but that stsrted my fishing journey.i took it out to the kelp Patty's and that was sketchy lol but definetly my.fishing started out fishing the bays and half day boats and now to strictly just fresh water bass fishing.

My PB was caught at El Cap on a split shot and Yamamoto grub. The Don Iovino tube bait was called a Fatzee. I still have a box full!
