Nice shopping.Just because a person gets food stamps definitely doesn't mean they dont have struggles with feeding their family, prices are high regardless and being a food stamp recipient doesn't mean one shouldn't budget.
@debj5114 When has foodstamps been free? It's based on your income & of course, they are going to "feel it," but there are food pantrys all over the country and like the post we are on,we have to budget and find the right stores.
The ones who get food stamps is lucky. It’s free money to get food. When I get food, it’s comes out my pocket. So yeah , food stamps is free money to buy food
I'm a father but I learn a lot from these single mom shopping videos. This isn't a strength of mine. These ladies have a wisdom in providing meals that's under appreciated.
It's not just single mother's that struggle people who have 2 adults in the house with kids it can still be hard. Good for you being open minded about the struggles people have, because it's not easy right now. we just have to pray for better times and know that God doesn't give us a task we can't handle even if we get by on a thred we're still feeding our kids and keeping a roof over their head.
@janellcrews6108 Well that's just a shame. If you got a man in the home and you white, NO EXCUSE... WE BLACK AND HAVE BEEN SYSTEMATICALLY HELD BACK, STILL BATTLING.

In the UK they only give you money for two children period they brought in the two child limit back in 2021. If you have more than two children you support the rest yourself on Welfare.
❤Hey Tee, just a little tip, from a single mom… You may have to go to a few stores when you shop. I know everyone is going to say don’t nobody feel like doing all that 😂 However, before I go shopping, I check out all the sales at the stores I typically shop at and write a list for each. This tends to save me from overspending at just one store. You did a great 👍 job on your budget! ❤ I normally shop weekly for certain items to make sure we not wasting food. Food is to high to be having to toss it…Blessings to you and Eli 🙏
She sounds like a really nice mama. God bless you. You did good. Looks like very healthy food. And looks like your son's eating good. God bless you. Looks like you have some good food to get you by. God bless the food God brings into your life amen

Aldi’s has gotten more expensive and isn't as cheap as it used to be. You'll learn to go to different stores for whats on sale. I haven't had Food Stamps so learned which stores are cheaper. Their eggs differ in price weekly. Most of their brand is cheaper.
What I like about Aldi’s is that the owner is brothers with the owner of Trader Joe’s. They each broke off. One to sell high end “fancy” stuff and one to sell quality, but affordable food. Each store sticks to the “No additives, food coloring, etc” promise.
I think you did amazing ❤ I buy cheap muffin mixes add chocolate chips, some left over jam in some, blueberries in some , sprinkles in some , just anything the kids will love. I make a lot of them., freeze them on a cookie sheet when cooled, put them in a couple freezer bags. Since froze before bagging they can be taken out separately to thaw on the counter. Buy icing and ice them. Kids love them. Frugal on the dollar. Chicken breasts are so big usually I slice each one in the length and I’ll make it two breasts. Or take a couple and cut in strips to flour and fry. Saves your dollar again.
I shop at Aldi and Lidl. I go Walmart and food Lion for certain things. I also check the sales ads each week to see which store had stuff I need on sale or for cheaper.
You did great, you are a much better shopper than me! I like that you got the little potatoes- I cook them in 1 teaspoon salted water, then put them in a plastic container with olive oil, parsley, Italian seasoning, a little dill, salt and pepper, and shake it until the potatoes are coated with the oil and seasonings! (you can use fresh herbs or dried, I usually use dry it's easier, and cheaper.) Then I buy mini individual hummus servings and dip the herbed potatoes in it for a packable lunch , or cut them in half and make parmesan cheese w black pepper potatoes, or a small potato salad, there is so much you can do with them!
Good grocery haul baby I'm so proud of you as a young woman and a amazing mother keep. Up the good work baby and may God continue to bless you and your family
I shop there all the time 🤣🤣🤣. I keep my bags in the car, and quarters in the cup holder ! I love the 12 grain bread and I always find something for my house , whenever I'm there. I got a peach color bed in bag for $24 and I have a cal king size bed. You can't find bedding for that size for $24 !
You Did Great! Aldi's Really Does Help You Save Money. There Produce, Bakery Items, Meats, Dairy Products And Breakfast Items And Snacks Are To Me As Good As The More Expensive Grocery Stores. Im A Fan. Thanks For Your Grocery Haul. Stay Safe. God Bless You And Your Family.✌️🙏🙏🙏🙏🤗
Hey girl Aldi is amazing! And anything that says twice as nice on the back is Aldi brand and they are all dye free, ❤ we love Aldi. We don’t have to check the back of everything for the red 40 dye that makes the kids act a whole fool. I also see families that seem really well off shopping at ours, how you spend your money is what keeps the money in your pocket. ❤❤
If you watch your prices sometimes fresh produce is not the best deal. Buying canned or better yet frozen is often gonna be cheaper and then you don't have all that fresh stuff going bad at the same time so protects against waste. Also gives you something to go on after the perishables are gone and can stretch times between trips. Anytime you can save trips it saves time and money...whether it's gas\fare\delivery, impulse buying. So I was saying...mango and pineapple can be bought frozen which is perfect for smoothies or can thaw what you want to eat at a time. You can buy small amounts of salad stuff for week one and then frozen veggies etc for week two. Root veggies last a long time when you buy them whole. Watch those premade produce items like pico...it is super simple to make and very overpriced pre made. Also watch the convenient packets such as the beans and rice. Those ingredients are so cheap to combine yourself. Lentils are great alternative to beans because they are so much quicker to cook. Also wanted to suggest a rethink on the budget...if you were prepared to spend 200 dollars why didn't you? If that number was comfortable to spend before then maybe think of it as a permission and not a limit. Food doesn't have to be this willy nilly budget item. Figure your bills. Set a number for food that is reasonable in your budget and then spend every cent of it. Get your deals for sure and spend as carefully as you can. But then once you know you have what you need for the week keep going. Look for great sales on things like canned tomatoes, pasta, beans, spices, bouillon cubes, flour, hamburger etc and speeeeeeend your food budget. This will help you build a stockpile of things from sale prices....this is your investment. Apply the idea of reverse meal planning and pantry challenge (lots of videos on these topics). You inventory your house before ever ever going to the store. Write down all your bread and fridge items that are quickest to go bad. And then take some notes of what else you already have. What can you put together using those things? Write down those meal ideas. How many days did you get? Do you have almost everything you need for a few more meals? Write those missing ingredients down. THATS your shopping list. Where will you find those items at the best prices? Go there and get those things. Then (maybe the same trip) look for great sales on pantry staples, versatile cuts of meat that can freeze, and root veggies. You don't need a concrete plan for them in the moment just grab the deal and figure it out the next time you are meal planning. You start a wonderful cycle of having things on hand to cook with and eventually if there is an emergency or if your house is just nice and full of food you can skip a week or shopping for food and use your grocery budget to finance small food related investments...A crockpot. A good knife. A good skillet. A cookbook. A small chest freezer (if you are in a small space there are freezers the size of an end table. Park that thing by the couch and put a lamp on top.) Nice canisters. A canning pot. Kombucha or sourdough jars. Etc. now you have a way to do more with cheaper food. I wish you all the best! This is not a lecture it is info lovingly given. Use what works for you.
Also forgot to add. Meal planning does not have to be concrete calendar plan. It's as simple as knowing what you have and what you can make with it then following through to make things you have decided you will make. So if you have a crazy week keep meal plan simple, switch things around day to day for what makes sense that day, and what sounds good. Also don't cook more difficult things without making extra to freeze or use for lunches. Annnnd don't cook if you have leftovers. Build in a night each week where you clear the fridge. Eat pot luck style, everyone picks some leftover that they want, oooor find a way to use things such as cleaning out the produce drawer by making a soup.
Aldi is one of my favorite stores. I’ve been shopping there since the 80’s here in Illinois . I have always been able to get a better bang for my buck there. I enjoyed watching this video. Have a wonderful weekend.
I had no idea that Aldi's has been around that long. I believe it's been here in Texas for a short time period. I shop there sometimes. But I mostly shop at Jo V's. Sometimes, I shop at Walmart and HEB for certain things.
@Strengthofafamily I've never seen a Publix in IL although I've heard of them. I've never heard of Winco. I feel there are alot of Costco stores tho. I'm not sure what part of IL you live in. This lady is a great shopper. I'll have to check out the Aldi down the street.
You gotta know that the „no name“ foods at Aldi are made by the same „name brand“ manufacturers, but sold for less. It’s not less quality and nothing to frown upon. You did good and I can see from your haul that you plan meals and actually cook, which saves loads of money! Thanks for sharing.
Girl!!! I’m so amazed of your shopping skills!!! We need an Aldi’s in WA!!!! Btw you are doing a great job and look amazing!! I been watching you since the shelter days!!!
In our country Walmart's the cheapest!!!! I mean people go to giant Tiger but we don't do that for groceries.. Independent which is very expensive. Hartman's which is expensive Metro which is expensive but Walmart's the best for groceries in our country Canada
I Love Aldi's!!!! Prices are low!!! and you are so right about Shop rite prices are ridiculous, Sis you did really good. God bless you and your family.
@tamiko_8369 I just learned about the organic grass fed ground beef for 3.99 a pound. Delicious and cheaper than Walmart's cheapest ground beef at like 4.33 a pound.
I don't get FS, but it's alright... I have God to provide ❤ and I do okay 🙏🏾 I'm not hungry praise God 🙏🏾 growing my own produce on my balcony ❣️ save, prep, canning, meal prep 😂❤ eat less ❤
Hey t and eli i go to aldi sometimes and i really love Walmart and i really try to to stay in my budget when i go to grocery shopping, hope y'all are having a wonderful day and stay safe out there🤗❤️
You did very well young lady. I don't know if you make anything homemade but I am just going to let you know that you can make the Pico de Gallo with some of those items you already bought and many use that money towards something else next time. (tomatoes, onion, jalapeno pepper, cilantro, lime) Also to help save money again. Those chicken bones, if you don't let them touch your mouth, you can use them to make yourself some homemade chicken broth if you wanted too. I save mine in a ziplock freezer bag and once it is full I will make me some and use it to make some kind of chicken soup or use it in making some rice. Anything to help make those pennies stretch. Also look up how to make your own seasonings too. It is so much cheaper to do it yourself than buy them from the store over and over again. And don't forget to hit up those food pantries once in a while. They can help out too. Keep doing a great job and I love your budgeting skills. ♥
@@herelieskittythomas3726 you can find certain things there for a cheaper price weather it's food or snacks . Some people go there depending on what they pockets can afford. I don't belive she was say make all your groceries there . I understand if you choose other that's your own business. But that store can help most people in times like this food is extremely high these days.
Why you gotta buy organic fruit which you know costs way more than the others. Grapes are grapes, just less spraying. Girl please, you can rinse off those same grapes with baking soda and water. As far as eggs, here in Philly eggs are at least 4.00 a dozen, you did damn good for 176.00 dollars.
Walmart's eggs might be cheaper, but Aldi's eggs taste so much better! That's from experience. Also Aldi's is the only store that I can afford to have the food delivered once in a while, as the low prices make a big difference to being able to do that!
No cap my girl. But by the look of your views and the number of subscribers u have, u don't deserve no foodstamps!! We become complacent on stamps after getting them so long it hit different wen u spend ur own cash. It's called us being a woman and handling our own!! Cause girl they took my Stamps and medicaid. All because I make 15 an hour. Yall know dats not enough to live on with cost of living way up!! U did good baby girl❤ be proud of who u become
I'm in the South Bronx. Food Bazaar, Fine Fare, Bravo, Pioneer, Key Food, and BJ's, etc.Stop&Shop n Shop Right are NOT expensive. Lol they stay with the $7.99lb crab legs(just have to watch your pickings) Aldis JUST got on board out in NYC. I was intro'd to Aldi's back in the early 2k's. Good video boobie💯💯💯
You did good! I live in West Texas and I'm hoping they do put an Aldi here. We did get a H.E.B. finally but kinda on the expensive side. We heard a few month's back there talking about putting that Aldis store in. Yall are gonna eat good for awhile and I can tell you enjoy cooking and your also probably a good cook to. I subbed and liked and hit the bell. Have a blessed night 🌙
I'm all about saving too. I had to go out disabled with a rare disease. So I coupon and I use the Flashfood app at the local grocery stores. It's food at about half price. When there's meat I will purchase it, cook it and freeze. It. May have nice vegetable and fruit discounts and many items to purchase but it changes everyday according to the stores in your area.
0:46 Oh my, your grocery haul!!! I LOVE Aldi's because they have the BEST prices compared to Wegmans and Tops grocery stores here in Niagara Falls N.Y. You do have to look at your fruit more closely for spoiled pieces that might be in your strawberries or 🍇 grapes. Have a nice evening! 👋😁 You did very good!! 👋🥰
😂❤ I went shopping there yesterday and Got almost everything you got! But let me tell you!!!! A great anytime sandwich... take that bagel put you luncheon meat on it and a slice of cheese a Lil mustard, wrap it in paper towel and pop it in the microwave for about 10 seconds... 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉it is sooooo good!!!!! The bagel tastes like pretzel bread without the salt! But Aldi usually has really nice produce in Michigan
I would not have bought most of that. I just spent $170 at Walmart and $100 at HEB (A local store) and got 6 lbs of ground turkey for $2 a lb on sale, a 10 lb bag of chicken legs and thighs for $6, enough lunchmeat, cheese and bread for an entire month, enough jelly, mayo, ketchup, marinade, BBQ sauce and dog food for an entire month, enough laundry soap for 6 months, saltine crackers for an entire month, tea and lemon juice for an entire month, 8 packages of muffin mix, 8 lbs of ground beef on sale for $3 a lb, 2 roasts, fried shrimp, liver for my dogs for a month, chicken legs for my dogs for a month, pork ribs, pork sausage and bacon and eggs. That will feed me for an entire month or two, if not longer. And i now have over 30 lbs of meat in my freezer. I do not need to go shopping again until next month. I have sides and Hamburger helper type stuff and canned stuff and pasta and 10 lbs of rice and all that. I buy everything in bulk so i save money. I have enough veggies and sides and canned and dry product to last probably a year or more. I keep an eye on sales and buy that stuff on sale. I have all the prices at my 4 local stores memorized so i buy only the cheapest or sale items between the 4 stores. And eating primarily meat, isn't just healthier for you but it doesn't go bad sitting in the fridge and there's no waste at all ever. It's alot more frugal than you might imagine and fills you up longer so you aren't needing to snack or eat 3 meals a day. I eat one or two meals. All those carbs you are eating are making you hungrier and causing you to spend more money. I can make something like meatloaf with 1 lb turkey and 1 lb beef for about $5 with the sale meat i bought, and eat for 4 or 5 days. I have over 30 lbs of meat. I probably won't need to shop for 2 or 3 months. I can cook a roast and eat for 4 or 5 days.
You got a very nice assortment of food and produce and etc. Especially for 173. The only one thing I could say that would give you more product is on the chicken wings. Chicken wings are over half bone so you’re paying a lot of that money for the Bone. You would get a lot more bang for your buck with chicken thighs. Probably double your amount of protein and meat. But the chicken wings… That was a good price. Will subscribe to your channel.
Yal be in yall feelings way to much and be projecting. She never said people who get food stamps don't struggle she said she don't get them anymore,so now she is experiencing what it is like to actually have to spend money . Yall do way to much.
You did good girl!! You got fruits, veggies, meats and treats as well as other stuff to make meals. I agree the eggs were high-they used to be like 88 cents before Covid!! I have tow watch their produce too, but my mil says their ALDIs where she lives has the best produce in her town. If y’all like yogurt their Greek yogurt is better than the expensive brands. I buy their brands and the only things I didn’t like was their peanut butter and ketchup-they both were way too sweet. Y’all are gonna be eating good!!
~You GOT ME at the Werthers Caramel Popcorn. I always purchased at Cracker Barrel. Never was an Aldi Shopper. Sum1 told me Aldi carry Brioche Bread, Great Wine, Fresh Salmon and NOW Werthers Caramel Popcorn...NEW ALDI SHOPPER💯~
We go there too and hey smart shoppers have to let peeps know lol. The cherries were high as all hell today but we will check back maybe next week who knows. :)
I stopped by a Safeway in a poor area of Indianapolis to get a few cans of cat food to get me to the weekend. I couldn’t believe how high the prices were. I guess they figure since poor people don’t usually drive very far and use food stamps they can have high prices.
I’m not trying to be funny but food stamps versus actual money is a huge difference. I used to buy them from people and it made a huge difference in my budget so I can’t really say there’s a struggle bus when you have food stamps not your money that you have to pay all your bills and all of your rent with and all of your car payment with, I can’t agree with that! Thank you for showing how you shopped without food stamps, ma’am good job!
I like to buy a whole chicken sometime. Season , roast. Divide up the legs, thighs, wings, I freeze these in portion bags. I talke breasts when cooled and slice with a very sharp knife slices to be my roasted chicken meat for sandwiches. Then I have the legs thighs, wings for more meals already cooked. I take the backs and bag up for more then I boil and have great broth . It’s being frugal with your dollar. I’m a cook and my kitchen is my playground.
Nice shopping.Just because a person gets food stamps definitely doesn't mean they dont have struggles with feeding their family, prices are high regardless and being a food stamp recipient doesn't mean one shouldn't budget.

@@shayb.3450 I think some southern states just began getting Aldi stores within the last 5 years or so. It’s a great stock up store for most things.
I'm in IL too. I've noticed more Aldi stores opening up recetly.
@@amyboone125 yes. They are in more states now. I wish Illinois would get more Costco stores, a Publix, and a Winco.
@Strengthofafamily I've never seen a Publix in IL although I've heard of them. I've never heard of Winco. I feel there are alot of Costco stores tho. I'm not sure what part of IL you live in. This lady is a great shopper. I'll have to check out the Aldi down the street.
You're such a great mother. I was just telling a friend about your story. God bless you and your son. ❤
In the Bay Area, CA the 18 count, brown, cage free eggs are $10.00 ……and that is the on sale ones.
I’m in the Bay Area, Oakland, Ca and these grocery prices are sky high!! 😢😢
You gotta know that the „no name“ foods at Aldi are made by the same „name brand“ manufacturers, but sold for less. It’s not less quality and nothing to frown upon. You did good and I can see from your haul that you plan meals and actually cook, which saves loads of money! Thanks for sharing.
Aldi is the place to shop...🎉🎉
Great job! God bless you both!
Girl!!! I’m so amazed of your shopping skills!!! We need an Aldi’s in WA!!!! Btw you are doing a great job and look amazing!! I been watching you since the shelter days!!!
Girl I feel you we have a aldi and a lidil in north carolina I go there walmart got expensive to
You ain't lying, everybody is complaining about Walmart.
You did all right for you and your family. God bless you and all that you do. 😊
Aldi's is good for most things, but I get my meats elsewhere ...
I agree with that! My husband only gets the organic hamburger meat there
I get produce and meat elsewhere. My Aldi has terrible produce
I agree
@tamiko_8369 I just learned about the organic grass fed ground beef for 3.99 a pound. Delicious and cheaper than Walmart's cheapest ground beef at like 4.33 a pound.
Girl, you did well if all of that is less than $200. I salute you and Elijah! Enjoy it and may God bless you all always. 👍❤️🩹
I don't get FS, but it's alright... I have God to provide ❤ and I do okay 🙏🏾 I'm not hungry praise God 🙏🏾 growing my own produce on my balcony ❣️ save, prep, canning, meal prep 😂❤ eat less ❤
Nice haul…I actually was just saying to my daughter how Aldi’s produce does not last long!
I like listening to her she is super...thanks for showing us
Girlllll that strawberry kiwi juice SLAPS ❤ We keep it on deck in this house!
WOW!!! You really saved. 👏🏽
Girrrl, lol next time grab some stuff out of the $3 $4 $5 fridge in Dollar Tree($1.25 now). Go to them PERIOD🤣🤣🤣AND I'm DEAD serious 💯
No! None of that is food.
Nice haul
Why you gotta buy organic fruit which you know costs way more than the others. Grapes are grapes, just less spraying. Girl please, you can rinse off those same grapes with baking soda and water. As far as eggs, here in Philly eggs are at least 4.00 a dozen, you did damn good for 176.00 dollars.
$2.67 for eggs is cheap😮 not going to lie
Your hair is just adorable!
Yes girl, I'm an Aldi shopper. Love their low prices.🙏🏾👍🏾
Walmart's eggs might be cheaper, but Aldi's eggs taste so much better! That's from experience. Also Aldi's is the only store that I can afford to have the food delivered once in a while, as the low prices make a big difference to being able to do that!
Try their baked beans, they are really good to eat with those franks.
I haven't been to Altis ,but I will have to go.You did very well.
Great grocery haul for the limit amount you had to spend for you and elijah
Yes I love food bazaar and bjs and dollar general and I’m in Astoria queens,as well as i just started to do instacart and amazon
Try Trade Fair, they have stores in Queens and also Western Beef is awesome too. I moved out of NY and i miss my old grocery stores!
@@Jess-we4er Yoooo I was just in WB in the Bronx on Morris Ave n 140th the other day. Slim pickings tho cuz shit is high now 💸flyn out cha pockets!!!!
Trade Fair is Queens based cuz ain't none in Manhattan or the BX but I'll chk em out! I love shopping new, multicultural/ethnic supermarkets🤗🤤
@@Queenempresstasha yeeees Empress! FB is like my second home🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
You did awesome Sis! Wonderful mommy
Thank you girl for the tips!!!!
You did good!
Looks like a great haul, I need to go to aldis more, usually just walmarts...you seem like a great mom and nice lady, thanks for the video.
Walmart is another great place to shop out too.
This is similar to how I shop
You got a very nice assortment of food and produce and etc. Especially for 173. The only one thing I could say that would give you more product is on the chicken wings. Chicken wings are over half bone so you’re paying a lot of that money for the Bone. You would get a lot more bang for your buck with chicken thighs. Probably double your amount of protein and meat. But the chicken wings… That was a good price. Will subscribe to your channel.
Yeah food is food you did a good job. You're a good mom.
Yal be in yall feelings way to much and be projecting. She never said people who get food stamps don't struggle she said she don't get them anymore,so now she is experiencing what it is like to actually have to spend money . Yall do way to much.
@livethatlife1830 Right you are...that's what happens when you don't pay attention...
Yes! 🙌
Been hearing about Aldi where I live. Definitely need to start shopping there.
Thanks for sharing. You buy a lot of the things I buy. Aldi is a great place. God Bless 🙏
Crab cakes look so good , hi from Alaska. Thanks for sharing. .
That's a nice haul. Impressive selection of fresh fruit and veg!
Love all the fruits and veggies❤
We love you guys!
Walmart has good off brand great value is pretty good the Great value ice cream sandwiches is a no but the cereal milk eggs bread is good 🛒🛍️💰👍🏼🫶🏼
We go there too and hey smart shoppers have to let peeps know lol. The cherries were high as all hell today but we will check back maybe next week who knows. :)
You go girl!
Thanks for sharing. Looks like you did pretty good shopping.
I stopped by a Safeway in a poor area of Indianapolis to get a few cans of cat food to get me to the weekend. I couldn’t believe how high the prices were. I guess they figure since poor people don’t usually drive very far and use food stamps they can have high prices.
You did good !!
Thank you for sharing, you are a good shopper.
Yes girl shop where you can save food prices are ridiculous nothing wrong with Aldi I shop there also
I like to buy a whole chicken sometime.
Good job! Suggestion : always buy loose lemons and limes. They always last longer than the ones in the bag.
Girl, I feel foods doubled, period !!!
It's great to see all that healthy food! May I ask how it is you're so heavy?
I love Aldi's one of my favorite stores shop there all the time
Thanks for sharing! Gave me a great list I can follow too!
Aldi is the best!!! I love shipoong there. low prices abd great stuff. Chocolate there is so good too.
I feel you on the prices! And yes, produce just goes bad too fast and costs too much!
Hey T! I love Aldi. I agree the eggs are a bit expensive there, I buy my eggs from Walmart or Sam’s it a better deal. Thanks for sharing!
Sam's has a 18 pasture raised eggs for 4.99. Which is a steal.
Pasture raised
That's exactly how you'll save a penny. My sister and I shop around we go from store to store searching for deals food is extremely expensive❤
Great haul!
