Thank you , your awesome for showing the WHOLE process and not editing out anything. I hate it when some so called experts do that and do not show you all the preocess. You sir are the man.
Thank you so much for posting this! I just removed mine using your instructions
Thank you for showing the real deal and not editing out the process
No problem 👍
Thanks for making it enjoyable to watch & for being real. 😊
My pleasure
Hey thanks man I love it. In the same situation and now....I'm not so stupid anymore!
This technique worked like a charm. I had the drain gasket drilled and pulled in just a few minutes. Thanks!
thanks buddy!
Thanks, after drilling and digging I dug it all out and got it out!!
Woo hoo
This is a very good TV show and we love it!
Tv show?
Thanks for the video, I was expecting it to be really difficult as well. After watching your video I’m looking forward to removing the shower pan this weekend. Thanks, greatly appreciate your help!
My pleasure
Great work! Thank you for being so transparent doing this. I am going to try doing it myself soon!
thank you
Hi Eric, nice trick to drill holes into rubber gasket and then use needle nose pliers to yank it up and out ! Strange that your pan was not nailed to the wood boards for support too ! Having the right education and techniques to do the job is so important versus "winging" it with brute force !
thanks
i have been watching shower drain install videos i liked the way you did this video most of them block the actual work shower replacement is on the list
Thank you
Eric , i must say thank you for this video , I'm in that position right now ,with my bathroom ...this video help me to continue thank you ....

Thanks for showhow to remove pan. What did you replace your side walls with?
Very helpful pan removal video. I have that same Makita drill, and I love it, but you do have to be careful about tightening the chuck. Still, it happens! It embarrasses me even when I'm alone with no cameras rolling!
Ha! Thank you for your time!!
Tks man

Thanks! I ended up using two screw drivers to wedge it out... only took a minute
Nice!!! Thanks
Hi I thank you for trying is better then pay some one a bunch of money thank you for the video kind of funny
Thank you
lol "the piece of resistance"
We cut out a small chunk, and then used a plier and vice grip to pry and tug it out.
awesome!
👍
I'm right where you are right now. Same size shower and base.
Good luck!
Nicely done, warts and all! Now I have a better idea of what to expect.
Question: When you replaced the shower pan, did you first use mortar in which to set the new pan? It looked as though there wasn't any for the first one.
I did tile.
Oh look it's the Bob the building channel
My brother! Miss you buddy.
Great video but many homes have the old poured lead as a seal opposed to a pressed rubber seal.

I love this video and how you talk! I hate my shower stall. The pan is old and permanently mold stained. The tile is this old 1980s pale baby blue. I wish I had a gorgeous mini claw foot tub to soak in, or even jus a new pan and tile. How much did this reno run you?
awe thanks. I did it all myself Ill do a video showing it. about 3k total but the shower was a small part of that.
Giving this a try today. Thanks for the good video!
Hopefully mine isn't set in anything and will pop out as easy as yours did 🤞🏼.
did it work?
@@scratchgolf Yessir! Wasn't set in anything. 👍🏼
It was really wedged in there though!
I used a multitool and sliced around the drain hole.
Tried the drill first and then found the multitool was much quicker.
awesome!
Do you have a video on how to install the new one?
Not yet
🙏 ❤️

Wonder why there was not a mortar bed under pan.
It's an insert, no mortar needed
@@scratchgolf interesting. The videos I have been watching show the pan inserts using mortar. Maybe a code for some states??
@@uglystickanglerX24 possibly
I believe the home should have been plugged because of debris..
Thanks
Comment here after watching on the 60
cool!!!!
Thank you!
