Fun pierce of information for anyone: this whole album was recorded using binaural microphones, so if you listen to it with headphones on, it sounds like the band is playing all around you. It's a wild experience to feel like Perfume Genius is feet away from you!
I remember the first time listening to this and the first piano notes coming on and thinking the sound was coming from my house ha took my headphones off and everything, was very confused. Really well mixed record.

I watched "Booksmart" 6 times in 5 days. Favorite song in the movie soundtrack.
first heard about this song through the podcast Song Exploder a year or so ago. Was immediately hooked; the song just sounds big and one I loved shouting the words to on repeat. I knew it’s been used in another movie (can’t remember the name) before so I assumed this video already amassed at least a million views. Just saw Booksmart on Tuesday so I knew more would flock to this video (just look at the surrounding comments. So when this mv popped up on my recommended, I was shocked that there are so little views. This song has the components sonically of a popular song combined w its usage in media (esp w Booksmart, a stellar film) so it should have 3-4 mil views on it by now. I’m just blabbing to no one here but this baffles me and I guess I’m going to have to roll up my sleeves and watch this video 400+ times
