“Sometimes it’s harsh and sometimes it’s more inclusive, depends how I’m feeling” thank u thank u thank u for this honesty bc humans are not robots, we are emotion-based :)
Bass player is phenom
Stimmt!
I am a 48 year old Portland music fan and so thankful for all the bands here over the decades, but have only recently realized this band is local!! Look forward to seeing...

19:15 - I Don't Have You In My Life
25:27 - Indians Never Die
This album is so good and easily the most important getting me through the past year. Love the interview, KP's perspectives, her playing, and her whole vibe.
I am so very impressed by the words and music that the members of Black Belt Eagle Scout create. I found them to be one of those of groups that grow better and better with each listen.
That's most groups.
this CD kept me coming back-to Pacific NW.
The change up of "I Don't Have You In My Life" at 21:11 = goosebumps...wow
Oh Katherine Paul I am so grateful to have known you all of these years, and to see you grow & share so beautifully!! Sending you all my Love my Swinomish sister I'm so proud of you Love!! So proud!! You absolutely inspire us all!! You heal us. Swinomish princess healer

Gilly Grace & Camis so Lovely
Thank you
More please from this band. I love this set. Dope sounds. Chill vibes.
Well that was another brilliant performance brought to the internet by the fine folks at KEXP and a really intimate interview. Thank you KEXP and thank you Black Belt Eagle Scout
Her laugh is so sweet and recognizable, I believe it's at the end of the Soft Stud music video.
Saw them yesterday (5/02/2019) when they opened for Julia Jacklin and wow I'm a fan!
It’s been a very hard weekend(relationship problems:/) and at work today I just couldn’t listen to my playlist on Tidal anymore and I discovered you. I am not sure which one of you I love more! As I’m doing now, I’m going to know everything I can about you very soon. I love your music, thank you so much for pulling thru for me today! If you are ever in Homer, AK brothers and sisters…..
Love this. Great music and magic.
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this band! Great sound, great guitars & drums (I am drum nerd & I practice these songs!) First heard them here on KEXP last year, GREAT backstory! KP's songs helps & resonates with me as I am going through my own hard time, especially with the losing of my wife and the subsequent depression that is still has not left me. I am getting better, & hopefully one day, I will be free. THX KEXP!!
trio when i saw them. 2nd guitarist adds nice depth. such a great LP
You know the world is fucked when a band like BBES isn't viral or mainstream. No face tatts, no gang affiliation, no flexing, just music like the way it should be.
Clicked for the name stayed for the tunes.
This is amazing
The bass player looks like Ladybird the movie. Which is nice because. When that movie ended. I continue to wonder what happens to her. Now I can imagine that she made friends and plays in a rock band.
This is so good
Curtindo aqui do Brasil...baita som...ta loko.
gostei da música ,da suavidade da voz destas meninas. Very good ! Congratulations!!!
This is awesome! Thanks.
I like how KP plays the guitar without a pick. It makes for a unique style.
So great!
Love you! ❤️
Can't wait to see them live tonight, with Devendra Banhart.
Do you know the name of her band mates??
@@avivapenny118 Unfortunately, I don't. Sorry.
Awesome!!!!!
wonderful!
Who the hell doesn't like Black Belt Eagle Scout?
My friend said he said the lyrics needed more depth. Whatever, go back to rap, see how I care.
마음이 따뜻해지네요. 잘 들었습니다.
it's like if warpaint had even better vocals and less 4-minute outro jams

Pretty voice and cool vibe
Cool
Anyone know what kind of guitar she plays?
It's a St. Vincent custom by Ernie Ball Music Man. Designed with the help of another amazing artist.
trinkets really should've credited you guys better.
eva hendrick's guitar.
St. Vincent's Guitar 😛

Thao's sister?
heard her on NPR yesterday saying white people who aren't gay are not allowed at her shows. says she doesn't want white people to listen to her music. as a white man I will respect her wishes and stay away from her terrible music.
Good for you to recognize a place that you won't be able to dominate.
@@4thatfilm I'm quite meek
Then one day you shall inherent the earth.
That's too bad. Apparently you can't advocate for one group without discriminating against another.
The first seems too much like a cover from The Cranneberries
Слабенько.
It was easy to see they are all lesbian feminists. The drummer was just thrown in to provide a back beat. The music was just very very meh. Repetitive, almost tone deaf, no chord progression and the voice, it was not worth the air. If a singer whispers, it isn't because they are wanting to be soft spoken, its because they have no range and sound terrible trying to pull it off. This is why so many singers, big names we all know, use auto tune.
