I'm so happy I found your channel!!!!
You are so exactly right at this point 👍🏽👍🏽
Great advice, I've started doing this finally after 4 years into my practice. I needed to slow down and practice one thing at a time. I really value your methods of learning.
I often use this one at a time method.
Makes sense to me but it's also conflicting with that a lot of people say that our remembers mistakes as well, so if we practice something wrong a bunch of times it will be harder to change, what do you think?
Doesn’t this contradict the musical right from the start tip?
Is this in conflict with your first tip about always focusing on the "musicality" of a piece while still getting the technique down?
I don't think so. The aim is to have only one main focus at a time. That doesn't mean that everything else isn't happening... Just that it's not under the spotlight.
And about putting in musicality from the start: I'm not saying that every repetition has to be full of musicality. Just that you mustn't assume that you can pay ZERO attention to musicality to begin with and assume that you'll add it in sometime later. It doesn't have to be a big thing every time, but it should be in the mix.
