Alright in this comment I'm gonna tell you some things you did well and some things you did not so well (also this is the guy from reddit who you asked for some advice for lol) and I'm just gonna keep editing the comment the more I watch the video. ALSO out of curiosity what are you using to edit? Platform and program.
1) The intro to the video is very slow. It takes a full minute before you get into any fighting. If you absolutely NEED the words for this beginning, overlay it with some fighting.
2) You edit the fight like a funny moments type of video. It's genuinely entertaining and you cut straight to the action each time, no lingering on death screens, nothing. Your either always talking, or your always dying. It's a good way to edit. There are some moments that PERSONALLY I would cut out, however this isn't my video, and these critiques are minimal at best, and opinion at worst
3) 5 minutes in you start fighting low level guys, the purpose for this is unclear to a guy like me who doesn't know what the hell you're doing. I assume it's to level up. Also you dont do any cuts for this. There are a lot of silent moments of you just running in this section. Do some cuts.
4) You show the entire fight with the boss when you finally DO beat him. This is good. I see too many youtubers skip tough fight scenes because they think it's too boring. Whenever you beat a boss, you should show as much of the fight as possible (unless most of the fight is you sitting in a corner doing ranged attacks like a bitch, then don't include all of it)
5) title and thumbnail
Your title starts with the game name and the part. Don't do that. Start it with "died too many times" then go to the game name and part. Also it should be "I died too many times" for some reason putting I in your titles makes it more likely for people to click it apparently. Don't ask me why, it's just something I heard.
Your thumbnail is just a guy. He doesn't stand out or anything, he's just a dude. If he really has to be a dude, stretch him out to make him look funny, or outline him with a bold color. Also the words in your thumbnail a kinda small, and not outlined. Use text stroke when using text (both in the video itself and in the thumbnail)
Also I see your pt3 thumbnail and it's good. Not the best but it works, although i'd make the wolf a little big bigger.
6) Your editing is minimalistic. I don't know if this is a stylistic choice, or if it's just out of laziness, either way the editing itself is solid. Obviously you have a lot to learn but you have a good starting foundation. Also I'm sorry if I make you mad by pointing any of these out. I tend not to pull punches when critiquing people's content because I don't wanna make things seem better than they are. I'm gonna look at your shorts and then your newest video now.

So right now I’m recording on my PS5, I have it set to recording at 4k even if the game doesn’t display that. They are 1 hour recordings max on ps5. So I transfer the recordings to an external SSD then to my pc, so far it’s the best way I’ve found to keep quality. Then I use Losslesscuts to convert the audio format to be aceptable in Davinci Resolve, for some reason ps5 recording doesn’t mix with DR and you can’t hear the audio. Then yea that’s what I edit on. Davinci Resolve 19 at the moment (free version).
Will get into the content quicker! I think that’s a great idea!
And I think editing more and at better times will come a bit more as I do more vids. But for sure I think I can improve that.
Title and Thumbnail I also agree, maybe I gotta spend a bit more time on both of those.
As far as the editing style, it’s minimalistic by choice! I figured just show as much funny or action content as I can, and also cut down the full playtime from a few hours to 20-30 minutes. Do you mean how or when the cuts happen?
And definitely not mad 😡
If anything grateful someone took the time to actually point out some flaws and criticism so I can continue to grow!
