Slugger nerf was maybe a little too harsh. A shotgun slug being unable to stagger zerkers makes no sense
Designers seem to be doing this to push us to other weapons. Much like the Railgun nerf.

@@mcpudd1540 I like slug shotguns in any game, and they dick-kicked the only one in this game. I’m sad because they took away my fun toy and did so in the dumbest fucking way possible. If you believe that the stagger nerf makes any sense, you must be a Libby that’s never shot a gun before.
The Shrieker post-death damage patch note/change is regarding how much damage their body does when FALLING. Prior to the patch, they could fall on anything in the game and kill it, even a bile titan.
Yeah and that was a hilarious thing, often killed the helldivers kinda wish it would’ve stuck around

It is fine. It was bugged and had medium armour pin, they decided to let us keep it and exchange its damage was lowered to be in-line with how most medium pen weapons compare to their normal counterpart. As for stagger... eh. I never needed it nor used it.

I wish they would fix the Spear targeting system. Often it doesn't track at all, or you have a dust in the way and make it unable to use until for some magical way, the "dust" move away. Very inconsistent that stratagem
I wish it could also target buildings and bug holes

Things I do to make spear more consistent.
Grab backpack first unless someone is loading it for you. It just feels more consistent so maybe some weird mesh is happening.
Make sure to limit visual obstruction.
Use first person and makesure desired target is within the square, this will also allow you to be more precise on your target choice unless said target is in a moshpit.
Adjust for the rocket position when it hits, it will be roughly were your sight was so aim slightly below a hulks visor for example.
Aiming DTS locks in very quickly in my experience.
Arrowhead learnt the need to track the XP from the first game. They didn't do that when they upped the cap from 20 to 50. Good to see that it is being tracked in HD2

I took enough laser fire to be a burnt blast stain, but stood my ground. Seriously, like five striders plus grunts were just emptying into me.

but you still drop it like an fool in game after a small fall...pointless waste of stratagem if all you do is drop the only protection you have....compared to bubble which I hate too its night and day utility even with bubble nerfs

Sad that my Slugger got nerfed. I didn't think many players used it so I thought I'd be safe from a nerf, but 3 nerfs is a big bummer. I guess I'll try out the Dominator for a bit.

It was really the only gun I had that could effectively deal with berserkers. Idk how berserker HP wasn’t nerfed, they are easily the most irritating enemy to fight specifically because each one is a tank, and there’s always a dozen or more of them at once.
@sleepshouter5017 the arc thrower staggers them a lot apparently and the scorcher is maybe the best primary for bots

I liked the slugger and feel that it had a drawback of it being harder to take out stuff that was right in your face. Was kind of hoping that they'd nerf the overall range so it wasn't outperforming the DMR's. To play devil's advocate it was pretty much the only primary I was consistently using so it'll be fun to mix it up with some other weapons
Try the dominator now, its pretty much a semi auto slugger now. Tried it today as a slugger veteran and loved it. Just bring an suplly pack, because it eats ammo.
I also have been using the slugger as my primary but I just unlocked it 4 days ago so unfortunate timing on the nerf. I feel like it wasn't warranting a nerf rather other weapons that compete need to be buffed.
Ppl are sleeping on the scorcher. It can effectively take out like 80% of enemies. The only drawback is low ammo capacity and it's bad at dealing with crowds.
@@trippprofant8747 aww that happened to me when they nerfed the railgun. I had just unlocked it and didn't even get to play a single mission with it. I went to bed for the night. Got up and it sucked balls. I had been consistently grinding level 20 for that one gun. My disappointment was immerserable and my day was ruined.
Mane... they should have left the destructive force and stagger. Without those things as a slug shotgun it just doesn't make sense. They're thinking of things in terms of raw numbers and data, not real world physics... which breaks suspension of disbelief and the immersion is ruined.
It seems you missed the changes to the ballistic shield, which is really nice now against bots

logged in today and saw my rank at 92, glad to see it retroactively applied. hopefully they increase the sample caps and medal caps and being retroactively paid for those too.
That just removes the idea of the game though...
@D1craigRob I still put in the effort to collect the samples and earn those medals, I just can't hold them currently because i am capped out of everything. I have been at resource cap for weeks, almost immediately after the last warbond released I was already medal capped. I have been at sample cap for weeks. I have all the resources I could need and nothing to spend it on.
the sample, medal, and by extension, requisition cap are so you don't just immediately get shit instantly the same day it drops. Levels are purely cosmetic past level ~30 so it's literally only for bragging rights +titles
@objectionablycurious I can't test or inform others if I don't have gear/equipment and if warbonds are worth the money or investment in medals. And honestly the steeled veterans warbond is a worthy warbond, while cutting edge is dogshit except for the sickle laser rifle. And if you like meme weapons the plasma punisher is okay, but everything else is garbage.
There's a resource cap??? How high is it?
Man i was really hoping the stagger of the slugger wasn't nerfed that hard but it kinda sucks that it can't stagger berserkers anymore. I was definitely ok with the damage nerf but that stagger nerf is pretty rough considering that it was a great panic gun to have when you are getting overwhelmed by the up close medium level targets like devestators, berserkers, brood commanders and hunters.
Don’t forget spewers. You can stun them too
Now if only the DOT from fire and gas strikes actually worked if you weren't the host. And I feel like stun grenades not working on Bile Titans makes sense, but I feel like the EMS Orbital, Mortar, and Static Field artillery round should work.

Dots were fixed a long time ago, literally got burned from the second player's incendiary grenade today as the fourth player myself.
I wish the antimaterial sniper rifle had gotten more rounds than damage as i already felt it had enough power. Would have preferred an extra round or 2

have you ever fired a shotgun? do you know that irl a slug can get to effectively hit a target at 250 meters?

also rifling does nothing for slug rounds but it does everything for sabot rounds
@@CrispyChicken38 but all other weapons are balanced around way shorter ranges that their real life equivalents.
Most guns can't even calibrate beyond 100m because the game doesn't favour those long distances.
It's a common balancing problem for shotguns on games with short range engagements

Titans not being able to be stunned anymore is, in my opinion, halfway what I would like to see. It should be immune to most stuns but the artillery EMS should still work at least on it. Its way bigger in power than either a mortar shot or a stun grenade so should still be viable ....especially since that stratagem is niche.
Dominator is best against bugs it can one shot everything that doesnt have armor and it can pen medium armor
If you aim for heads them you can even one shot bile and nursing spewers

@@Raickei unfortunately, yes. It's the one thing I've wanted them to change about the dominator. Same with the counter sniper, bc that thing has ridiculous drag as well

Automaton gunships are a thing now in 7+ too so make sure you’ve got some anti aircraft in your teams setups otherwise be ready for a world of hurt
the counter sniper is pretty decent against bots with the new changes. just doesn't make sense to me why it has the same sway as the hmg, which makes it really bad when tons of enemies are rushing you. if you're the first to shoot at a distance then its great, but I'd still use the normal diligence over it just because its more reliable and better at close ranges
I tried to use it a couple of times before and after the changes, but its completely unreasonable. It feels like aiming with a truck instead of a rifle while also having a lot of sway even prone. With so many drawbacks I don't think doing just a bit more damage than the regular diligence is worth it.
I feel like they're nerfing guns based on their usage rate instead of how useful, fun and satisfying it is to play compared to the rest. That's why imo buffing underwhelming weapons is better than nerfing high usage weapons because if other weapons are up to par with the rest their usage will also go up. Right more than half of the weapons we can get are just "there" and not really useable on high difficulties. Weapon options that are both fun to play and viable on Helldive is so small.
I bet they're gonna nerf the Quasar cannon next just because of its high usage and just for the sake that they want to force players to use the other Anti Heavy weapons.

The explosive damage fix is so goof i actually feel like i can eat rockets now, plus accidentaly shooting my foot with the scorcher doesnt instakill me anymore
The exosuit is risk vs Bots but extremely powerful against bugs. It can single handedly turn the tide against a losing battle.

The dominator is crazy now. More damage than the slugger pre-patch and semi auto + a bit of bleed through damage due to the explosive properties. Only downside is you NEED a supply pack, because this thing burns through ammo. And also the turn rate is realtively slow, but you get used to it pretty fast.
All my fave weapons got buffed. AMR, Countersniper. So amazing. Both were already great, now even better!
They still haven’t figured out mounting the supply drop instead of taking a supply box problem. Died so many times because of that bug
They just need to add into the options the ability to turn off auto climb so it's binded to space like it is when not sprinting

There is going to be a digital arms race between UA-camrs and Arrowhead devs. You guys are trying to help your fellow Helldivers with exact specs, and the Devs are like 😂 - they have no idea what we have in store... now our battle eggheads don't have the most updated info on the field.
9:30 I can relate to the diligence counter sniper in real life because there are “things” that I too still can’t penetrate that I really thought I would be able to 😔
The changes to the arc thrower made it better than it was before, it staggers hulks, chargers and everything else below them
yeah and they also lessened the TK power albeit it's no longer a sniper(which was kinda bonkers and op anyway)
for fire tick damage, they should make fire stack and ramp up to a few stages so as to more finely balance the fire damage
this way they can buff powerful things like napalm and flame thrower to be impactful without making thing like the incendiary breaker broken
eg. incendiary breaker applies 1 stack of fire, flame thrower applies 1 stack but quickly gets to max stacks, napalm instantly applies max stacks, incendiary grenade applies almost or even max stacks on hit
This way they can make the tick more powerful for things where it makes sense it to be without affecting the meta by abusing other source of fire damage
genius, destiny does the elemental effects this way as well.

Yeah same, I mained the JAR5 then found that the slugger performed how I wanted the Dominator to do and had to swap in between, now I'll mostly use the Dominator especially even more now for the bugs
When in the mech, turn to the side when the charger hits you with the charge move. For some reason it does significantly less damage and can take multiple charge shots there.
Anyone else crashing at extract? We still got our medals and such which was nice but after this patch it blue screens 90% of the time. Levels up to 150 rocks and now on PS5 maintaining the load out is wonderful!
Sand storms help a ton! You can run right next to a enemy w/o getting KIA!
As for the escort civilians mission changes, I was easily able to complete it solo on 8-impossible just by using sentries. Same with the kill enemies mission. Both were seemingly impossible for me before the patch.
I really love the counter sniper being buffed. Its my main weapon and I love it.

Correction it is okay by itself but when parred with heavy blast resistant armour you become one hell of a wall to pass.
I got lucky on the suply drop achievement. Charger hunt mission.. they wound up in a spot with a nearby elevated position i could hide on. Drop once... wait for cooldown and drop again.
The sand storm looks pretty good. Pretty accurate
I think the change to the exo suit missile explosions is kind of a buff, because a lot of the time, the the thing that killed you was your own missile splash damage and I thiiiiink this prevents that. Also, bot missiles got hella nerfed, so I think the exo suit got secretly way more survivable. But I need to test it out.
i kinda wish they keep the view mini-map inside exo-suit because it kinda make sense that u can do that when u're in a giant bloody mech with a lot less turning speed
Rarely ever crashed before. Every mission is crashing at the end now. Hopefully fixed soon.

You don't have to be accurate with the Patriot. They were addressing people shooting the ground or nearby objects and the explosive resistance wasn't applying to the blast radius. Now you have to actually hit the thing you are shooting at for the explosive damage to penetrate armor.

I played last night, the bile spewers still kill me ridiculously fast. Absolutely no change. And if you open your strategem menu during a ion storm, you'll get stuck with that god awful jam noise, until you extract.

Believe it or not that last bug with the strategem beams only applies to the red strategems. Blue strategems like the supply drop or support weapons land where the beam is, there is bug I found where you can consistently get the stategems stuck to your shield (leading to you being able to put turrets and stuff in very weird places) & only the red ones wouldn't follow you (airstrikes, 500kg, etc)
The Arc Thrower should be used by the guy at the front of the fight anyways. So it doesn’t need that range to begin with
As a heavy armor I’m always in the front.The whole game is about strategy and if your a arc user just get to the front or go to the sides of your team
As an arc main on bugs I think the Arc is even better now. It loses a little crowd control ability with the lower fire rate, but to me the range is a buff because you’ll team kill less. There were times I’d shoot something in front of me and a teammate I assumed was way out of range would still get arced to. And the stagger is HUGE for spewers and stalkers, plus it’s better against bots for berserkers though I’m still not a huge fan of it there
Btw this indirectly buffs the Supply Backpack. For the Spear and the Recoilless Rifle.
I've been rocking the Diligence against the Automatons, now with the CS buff, let's see if I like it more or maybe the Penetrator will be my new fave. While the Sickle is still strong on cold planets and vs bugs, I like the variety I can choose for bots.
Diligence is my favorite primary for bugs & bots, but I'll have to try the Lib-Penetrator and Diligence Counter-Sniper again. My impression of the Lib-Pen is that you give up way too much in terms of raw damage and mag capacity just to get medium penetration, and that the Diligence CS has too many drawbacks for not enough upside.
@@51gunner yeah we’ll have to see. At some point all the guns should be brought UP to the same level of enjoyment instead of being nerfed into the ground.
@@vidman102 it's so frustrating bc they could just add new difficulties instead of pissing ppl off who had been grinding and excited about the hyped weapons.
If they're fixated on providing a challenge: just do it, but don't force players to tie a hand behind their back - that's what planet effects and climate are for... who cares if players solo lvl 9, then make a lvl 10 if you devs find that an issue.
The strategem tracling issue seemed very much to be with orbitals and eagles. Anything from a hellpod tracked onto the beacon.
I wish the exo suit had a “emergency exit” or something that gives you more time to get out because half the time just seeing one flame it’s about to blow up 😢
About the Charger one-shoting the exo-suit with their charge attack, you can turn the mech so he charges at the Gatling gun shoulder, when he hits you there he stops instantly like when they hit a big rock, it used to work 1-2 weeks ago when i was doing more bug missions, i don't know if they changed it
The arc thrower can’t open Crates anymore. Also, I personally would have liked a little extra reach, like at least 40, as the arc thrower still has problems shooting close distance. Also, when I hit the knockback animation, I noticed Berserker was still moving forward even though they were being knocked back. These are just a few things I noticed
As a lover of the anti material rifle, this will be nice.
FYI the mech has different armor values on different sides. Chargers will actually get stunned if they run into the side of one because it has heavy on the sides and I think medium on the front.

Dominator was already my main weapon for a long time. To be honest, i think it was already one of the best weapons in the game, niw, to me, it is number 1 by far.
I have a hunch. When Illuminates comes out with their Shields.. only laser weapons can penetrate

Exosuit is a glass cannon, deals a lot of damage but it's a death trap, there are still too many things that ohko the suit.
I think it should have some auto eject that doesn't kill the player immediately when destroyed, or a longer explosion animation with an indicator so we can react and eject manually.
Arc thrower is nerfed to the ground. No rapid fire makes it feel bad
The exosuit isnt bad at all.. It just isnt really good on automatons because of their range, its great for terminids though. Try to treat it as a glass cannon; using it in the open on 7-9 can get you blown up in seconds
I hated devestators until I finally got some weaponry that actually work against them more. I got a late start on hd2... so I'm only a level 10. Plus I just started playing on mnk when I started playing hd2 so I'm just getting comfortable with that too. It's been a journey ngl

A support mechanism in general could be cool, like Reinhardt from overwatch
Arc thrower also hidden Nerf it can't destroy containers anymore so it's destruction is lower

The bile spewers don't feel nerfed at all. They actually feel buffed. They kill you even quicker now.
Did I miss it or did they seriously still not fix the bug where dropping the SSD causes your character to enter some fixed arms out pose?
For me the exosuit still mostly boils down to which enemy faction I’m against. For bugs is an S tier, I’ll basically always be rocking it. For Automatons it’s like a D or C tier and I almost never use it.
Pissed about the arc thrower. Was alot of fun while it lasted I guess
It was great fun but let's face it it was totally OP. I'm surprised I didn't meet more players using it
The range hurts the most. ROF sucks but that legit felt broken not fully charging but the range nerf hurts the most. Lightning sniping was hella fun. Now it feels like a worse flame thrower.

How much more damage does recoilless rifle do than auto cannon? I wish there were damage numbers in this game. One recoilless shot = 2 auto cannon shot? 3?
8:02 fire buff is much more important (fire damage increased by 50% for everything so breaker nades flame thrower and napalm eagle) one tick will kick all light bugs over time 5 to kill spitters incredibly strong for hordes and now has range as 1 pellet can kill with fire damage from any distance
Guard Dog needs the ability to refill ammo from ammo packs just like team weapons backpacks, that drone runs out if ammo in no time, and starts reloading at the worst opportunities possible, the only advantage it has over Rover is slightly higher DPS.
HMG needs more ammo, both in the mag and in reserve, as it's atrocious reload time on par with hefty recoil makes it almost a straight downgrade from basic Machine Gun.
Revert the self Fire damage.... Its INSANE!! You die instantly and theres no Chance to stim yourself since youre already in an animation
I am having a very consistent crash if i adjust the music audio in a match. On the ship im fine but on the ground i can't even touch it.
The slugger stagger was a little too much. I would completely stunlock medium enemies 😂.
The Dominator fucking slaps bots and medium bugs now, so nice to shoot a Devastator and almost spin them around with the knock back haha, 2+ shots to the face pretty much ends them as well, so nice that's its actually useable now.

Stunning a huge Bile Titan with a little stun grenade was always ridiculous, a very good fix.
I think they could have kept the slugger exactly how it was but bring down the range to treat it actually like a shotgun. Feels like they murdered it.
