I'm not sure if you will see this but thank you for your videos. I just watched Part 2 of Bennie and will use that training. I have a 6 year old, unfixed Yorkie that is great the majority of the time but does resource guard and will once in a while aggressively snap at my bare feet either to get attention or out of fear, which I am looking to fix with training ASAP.
So glad the video is helping you and your Yorkie. You might want to use an exercise pen to give you some safe time and he can chill out and not worry about guarding anything. Guarding behavior is one indicator of a low confidence dog. Good luck
Walter, terriers are programmed genetically to NOT give up. Maybe he shouldn't be in bed with you if he's going to aggress towards you in the night. Id suggest getting him his own comfy bed, next to yours, on the floor and teach him that is his bed. Good luck.
My 2 year old silky terrier is really aggressive, he can bite us without any reason, and often shows his teeth. He has a good side too, but.. has a really strong personality, i guess.. He was acting like this since we got him, and we were trying to sell him, but it didn't work out. Any tips? My parents will end him, cuz he can bite so hard that I began bleeding..
Hey someone cool! You are definitely in a tough situation. There are a lot of genetics at play here because he's been this way since you got him. It's hard to give you advice with just basic information. I'd suggest your parents contact me through my website at www.everythingdognh.com Im happy to talk to them on the phone and see what's up with him.
When you say your parents will end him it goes to show where he has learned his aggressive behaviors from and also why he is defensive. Sounds like there is some animal abuse in ur house.
Great show, my bichon loves eating tissues, toilet paper and regular paper too. He has defintely shown high levels of aggression surrounding tissue if he knows you dont want him tearing up the paper. Never bitten anybody though, but that maybe because i just leave him to it when he gets so agressive that he shows his back teeth.
Isn't it silly that some dogs LOVE paper? Leaving him alone is perfectly ok. If paper won't hurt him, let him be. If you want to know what you can do be sure to watch the episode on resource guarding where I show you how to play the switch game. It's under 10 minute tips.

My dog pistol, if he jumps up in the bed at night, and if you move while he’s asleep, he will turn on you and will not give up

Holy crap. People just can't deal with a Terrier.
Not only a terrier, but a terrier with serious resource guarding ... that's double the STUFF!
I see zero mean behavior from this Yorkie
I know, right! Dogs are aggressive ALL THE TIME! Only when a valued item is around!
