@@dottommytm To be clear, neither one is worth the abuse, exploitation and eventual killing of dairy cows. My point is that the choice isn't cheese or no cheese. Nearly every person one talks to doing vegan outreach has access to non-dairy cheese.
Yes, this is exactly right, I agree with you Rhody, this is the point I always make. Also, it's not about sacrificing taste pleasure because vegans don't experience less taste pleasure. It's just about the temporary inconvenience of re-adjusting your tastebuds.

A budding vegan. The second guy is much like some of my religious family members who feel nothing when I tell them that animals are sentient and must have equal rights. In fact I think this man is far worse than my family because he comes with an inconsolable agenda. This video was a true contrast of the members in our species. Some realize in that very moment that what they are doing is wrong, and they somehow respect the facts, and others will never conceptually analyze themselves and take their selfish and backward belief systems to their grave. I have both of those people in my family. I get we are all fighting for the animals, but this method just isn't working. We should sneak attack home makers by telling them about our cheap eats, plant (no pun intended) ideas and let them think they are choosing. I entice soooo many people into eating vegan just by saying things like "oh wow! This recipe is awesome and so cheap to make as well!" Sure, the people are not 100% vegan but even just a meal here and there is a life saved. I find that my "helpfulness" is far more effective then these kind of tactics.

The question is not even whether the taste of cheese is worth the abuse, exploitation and eventual killing of dairy cows. The question is whether the DIFFERENCE in taste between dairy cheese and non-dairy cheese is worth the abuse, exploitation and eventual killing of dairy cows.
No, its the first one. Even if vegan cheese didnt exist the morals wouldnt change
@@dottommytm To be clear, neither one is worth the abuse, exploitation and eventual killing of dairy cows. My point is that the choice isn't cheese or no cheese. Nearly every person one talks to doing vegan outreach has access to non-dairy cheese.
I would say so, yes.
Yes, this is exactly right, I agree with you Rhody, this is the point I always make. Also, it's not about sacrificing taste pleasure because vegans don't experience less taste pleasure. It's just about the temporary inconvenience of re-adjusting your tastebuds.
@@alanpartridge2140 That's interesting. What if you had to do the exploitation yourself. Imagine there is a spinning wheel with spots for milking the cow, jacking off the bull, sticking your arm up the rectum of the dairy cow and injecting her with semen, taking a calf away from her mother, and shooting a male calf in the head. Every time you eat cheese you have to spin the wheel and personally do what it lands on. Do you think you would eat more dairy cheese, the same amount, or less dairy cheese? Or would you possibly consider Miyoko's mozzarella, Chao slices, Follow Your Heart cheddar, cashew cheese sauce, etc.?

The second guy is much like some of my religious family members who feel nothing when I tell them that animals are sentient and must have equal rights. In fact I think this man is far worse than my family because he comes with an inconsolable agenda.
This video was a true contrast of the members in our species. Some realize in that very moment that what they are doing is wrong, and they somehow respect the facts, and others will never conceptually analyze themselves and take their selfish and backward belief systems to their grave. I have both of those people in my family.

You know what's awesome about being vegan? I was feeling lazy today so made a quick lunch of pan fried veggies with caramelized onions and as I was eating it I thought to myself "This whole meal has cost me less than $2".
