I've adored this car ever since I saw it at a car show a few months ago. Honestly, if it weren't for the lack of safety features (not even an airbag, wtf) I would've totally wanted a Beat as my first car! $8.50 for a full tank of gas (even less given current events), the laughably compact interior with the dated zebra seats, even being in the driver's seat would be an experience in itself!
Looks like a fun, incredibly economical car to drive around. I have an opportunity to pick one up for a reasonable price. The only thing that scares me away is knowing who I can take the car to when a repair is needed, and if the parts are still available.....
Honest k cars in general are such a great type of car to import! They're the perfect vehicle for every type of driver. First of all you get the perfect daily driver, its gonna be reliable, EXTREMELY FUEL EFFICIENT, roomy enough to run almost all errands, and then on top of that, you get a peppy little turbo 3 cylinder in a tiny car that corners like its on rails, and you can choose a k car that suits your favorite driving style. You can buy a daihatsu mira if you like rallying or having fun in the snow, or a suzuki cappuccino if youve always wanted a miata to drive fast down twisty roads, or a honda beat if you love mid engine roadsters. Its a car thats great for day to day life and incredibly cheap to drive, while also being incredibly fun to drive and filling so many different wants and needs at the same time! The honda beat is an affordable toyota mr2 that is better on gas, and id say safer because its slower.
america can't handle the idea of kei cars because there are also 800HP muscle cars, giant lifted trucks, and SUV's on the road 😂 that's too bad though, small cars are awesome!
I am laughing with JEALOUSY at what it cost to fill up that car with fuel. It is a shame that the Kei car will never have an American market (Because of safety regulations). Calling it an enclosed motorcycle is accurate and they look adorable.
@@ericseliz34 Honda beat 1991 Fuel tank 6.3 gallons [U.S]. around 40 MPG. That is around 252 miles per tank. On average I calculated cars get around 300 miles per tank. Using these numbers, the average joe might not notice a difference between the time it takes between fillups.
@@johnsmithfakename8422 Good point, but your calculations for the Beat assume running the tank completely empty every time, which isn't realistic. If you want to leave a 50 mile safety margin comparable to driving many cars until the gas light comes on before filling up, you effectively have a 5 gallon tank and 200 miles of range. Still not bad though, especially since most people won't be daily driving these.
Seen one not too long ago. Though personally I was more impressed when I saw a cappuccino, much more like a shrunken Miata than the beat. front engine turbocharged 3 cylinder would be a hell of alot of fun to tinker with
I don't think so, they aren't that light. It looks like they weigh around 1700 pounds, which obviously isn't light enough for a few guys to lift onto a trailer or something although it would obviously be much easier to push than a heavier car. These don't have immobilizers though, so you would definitely want to at least add a hidden kill switch or something since 90's Hondas are notoriously easy to steal.
aperently a rotarylife.org is not a mail domain, but it would be awsome if you could review a volvo s40 t5 2008, Im thinking of getting it but I want to know how it is
Hope you guys enjoyed the review! It's my 50th review on youtube!
Shooting Cars awesome.... Good review
I'd honestly import a Honda beat over most other jdm cars...I just absolutely love them. 😅
I agree besides the crx the beat is my favorite car when your in a car that small it just throws you out of the corners
Just bought a BEAT myself. Thanks for the awesome review. Helped out a lot.
How far / long can you drive on a tank?
Where did you buy from?

i would love to see this gorgeous car again in the channel 😍

I'm two years late, but sweet review. I drive an NB miata and now I want one of these things.

I love how those headlights wrap all the way around to the wheel well

I love both to be honest. I am equally smitten by the idea of both ends of the spectrum...
Great review! My favorite- "It out Miatas a Miata!"
KAY car. not KEY. short for Keijidosha
Very cool review, thanks for not playing shitty, current music...I'm a jazz guy...
Great stuff! Im a rotary fan, but I would totally grab a beat if I could. Oh, for nit-pickers, its kei car pronounced "kay" as in o-kay.

But imagine how many times a week you’re at gas station if you daily drove this.

It's a mini NSX.

ur great
Fast or not I bet the Beat is much fun! And this sound. And rev happy! :)
5:35 great timing with the flag in the back
Most underated honda
Kind of like the s2000. The gas door release button is the same and center console in the middle is very similar
It out-Miata's a Miata - brilliant!
(Saw one the other day on the road and had to smile - - then follow it. So cool)
Question. I'd it easy to be stolen because of the weight?

How much will it cost to get one of those?
how tall are you? would it fit someone over 6 foot
Wish I fit in one... mazda miatas are near impossible and the s13 is kinda tight
240ALx jeremy clarkson is 6'5" and he fits in one
Hi I'm thinking of getting one of these could you tell me how much insurance
I just found out this exists. I want one.
Is this guy in Maryland?
How many miles does it get to that $8 tank? 😅
Great review!
Or just go through an import company... Like b-pro in Canada
"U got your AC there uknow.." "OMG IT HAS POWER WINDOWS"
This a off topic question but, Would you do Ford Excursion Review, because that truck is just huge, I think in my Opinion.
I haven't done one yet but I would be interested
Those suvs are junk. Out dated status symbol that has no style what’s so ever.
Key car key car over and over sounds sooo odd and clingy when someone says that haha it’s pronounced kei car
If you think about it if its like a motorcycle with 4 wheels which means you can put a turbo motor bike engine in it 100iq strat
aperently a rotarylife.org is not a mail domain, but it would be awsome if you could review a volvo s40 t5 2008, Im thinking of getting it but I want to know how it is
Wow this was 4 years ago.... I wonder how much gas would be for one now haha
Jesse FC is awesome dude by the way
ビートの良さが分かっているじゃないか
and that car cost 15,000$ in Thailand...
are you a boy or a girl?
Kei car... like saying ' k '... :-p
Miata is always the answer tho
Miata is always the answer.
Truer words have never been spoken - ask ANY car enthusiast - any.
Can someone help me out, i need the size of headlight bulb for same honda beat.... I bought H4 bulb but its not the same... Beat owners kindly help
emmm Kei cars are baaaaad mkeiii?
It really is a beat 😂😂😂😂🤮🤮🤮🤮
