    I turn all my hangers backwards first of every year. Then I get rid of the hangers that never get turned back. Helps you see what your actually wearing.

    I started my closet last January after watching Tidying Up on Netflix. It was so inspiring when I was watching it but I wanted to cry after I saw the mountain of clothes sitting in the middle of my loft. It took a LOT of time to get through everything! I’m much more mindful about the things I buy now. It only took me listing over 1000 items on Poshmark to make me realize that I don’t need clothing items in 6 different colors. Lol

    I've done the Marie Kondo method on my house and it feels SO SO good to just shed all the old things you don't love anymore. I highly recommend doing it all in one go to get the full cleansing feeling!! Maybe just do it all at once and then put the clothing aside to go through later so you're not overwhelmed. Can't recommend it enough :)

    I actually went through my whole closet earlier this year - took out everything, tried everything on, and then ended up listing everything in my posh mark closet after I decided to start selling again. I had taken a couple year break and now I’m back and it’s going pretty well for the most part. I did offer my friends some clothes before I started listing because I ended up with 5 trash bags full. I have been trying to post my kids clothes as they grow out of them as well.

    I’m not sure if it’s Marie Kondo or another storage method, but I’ve did the backwards hanger thing for years and I think it works great. If you rotate your clothes seasonally, or every six months, you hang them up backwards and as you wear them hang them back up the right way. It works great, and you can actually see what you wear.

    I’ve got the same Athleta leggings in my Poshmark closet. They are the Electric Geo Sonar Capri leggings. Also, Hartman is an expensive and well made line of luggage. I’m loving Thriftmas and am going to miss seeing you every day when it’s over! How about doing Thriftuary?

    I have a lot of office clothes that I don't wear anymore and still in excellent shape. I put them up for sale at Poshmark, but I find professional office clothes don't do very well on Poshmark. My clothing that is well worn or has a tiny stain, but still in good shape, I give away for free at my gym and they are always taken. I am big believer in reusing, and recycling.

    These are really interesting, thanks Jenna! I usually watch them on my TV via Roku while I share my closet or draft listings, so I'm not sure I always remember to "thumbs up" (plus it's not as easy via the Roku). Anyway, I appreciate them all! And I love that you keep it real with the "rolling out of bed" style... that's my usual mode!

    I did a major closet clean out last year when we bought our first house! I didn't know about reselling at the time so I donated about 80% of my wardrobe. I kind of had the feeling that we were stepping into a new level and that stuff just wasn't worthy😂😂

    Thanks for sharing your haul. I think that Indian Statue is cool. I myself and scared of it no idea why lol. I am extremely afraid of clowns and will never own anything with clowns. I am also extremely scared of that damn Elf on the Shelf those and clowns make me think they are staring at me and will come to life. My son thankfully is 3 and knows nothing about Elf on the shelf. I never really watched the movie IT because I am too scared too lol.

    • @sarah78neidrich83
      @sarah78neidrich83 4 роки тому

      @@DCMontes goodwill is where i have the most difficulty finding anything that fits. It is more miss than hit. If i am in goodwill, it is very rare that i find anything. Apparently, everyone where i live is a size 16 to 18. Goodwill bins is about 20 minutes from me and the clearence center had nothing the last time i was in there. If i could find stuff there and it didn't have lingering smells, i would be more likely to shop there.

      Shayne, great suggestion. I usually don't have a problem with laundry orders per say. Just goodwill clothes do not smell the best and a lit of them, at least, where i live, smell musty and like mothballs

    I was hoping you got the Indian statue, so glad you did🙂 I have a question, do you remember what your first thrifted sell was? Mine was a pair of leather UGG boots that I paid $5 for & sold for $65. That was it, I was hooked! I was so excited, I don’t think I’ll ever forget that feeling. It was all so easy as well, plus my two favorite things, thrifting & making money😂 Just wondered if your first was memorable.

    Love the Marie Condo method. I only have one dresser so I can see how a full closet could be intimidating. Also use the folding/ filing method which has done wonders for space, especially in my kids dresser. Great video! Thanks for sharing your great finds!
