About the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band -
The name of the band explains what it is…Ken Marino, David Wain, Frank Barrera, Sweet Teddy P, Jon Spurney, Jordan Katz, Henry Wain and a revolving group of amazing guests (including including "Weird Al" Yankovic, Kathryn Hahn, James Marsden, Will Forte, Uzo Aduba, Natalie Morales, Joe Lo Truglio) playing the best songs of all time and doing comedy shtick in between.
The wild shirtless lyrics of mark farner, the bong rattling bass of Mel schacher and the competent drum work of Don brewer. Y’all nailed it
lol nice reference!
Homer knew his music! 😊
One thing that must be praised, in addition to the pure musicianship, is how well these videos are put together. The cinematography is first-rate, and it really helps highlight the talents of each musician and the pure fun that must suffuse the room. We gotta get these guys to 100,000 subscribers and beyond, stat.
Unfortunately, that's the perfect amount of cowbell, so I have no notes.
I'm just a few blocks away from the infamous Grand Trunk Railroad overpass on Fenton Rd. in Flint, Michigan that has been grafittied into "GRAND FUNK RAILROAD MARK DON AND MEL" for years. Y'all done our hometown boys proud.

Party Down was a great show!
Two Tickets to Paradise 🎉
Oh heck yes🦆Rock on🤘Best day of the week.
Random but youse guys should get in contact with Jensen Ackles. A little Whipping Post duo would be super rad.
Never heard of any of you guys before, but subbed the very instant when I first listened to your version of "Born to Run", and I have zero regrets. There's so much juice, jam, and pure unfiltered joy in every new song... man, you're obviously having a busload of fun, and it's infectious.
You should IMDB Ken Marino. Then watch everything he's ever done.
R.I.P. Sweet Sweet Connie. Little Rock Legend, and that's a natural fact.
Grand Funk is never a bad choice. I love this cover!
SweetTeddy P rockin the shades! His 'RIO' was spot on, just like this one. Secret Weapon!
I cannot overstate how much I love this
I grew up with GFR … can’t believe how good you guys really are! Nailed it? More like cemented to perfection!
Only the dude from “Party Down” can party down to “American Band.”
Okay, but could you come to my town because I really like the idea of this partying down you speak of.
Sweet Teddy P. burning up those frets!
That was cool. And you have Andy Reid, head coach from KC Chiefs as your bass player!
Good Canadian boys 🇨🇦
GREAT version!!! You guys rule!
Oh for crying out loud! You guys are just too damn good!
Tracksuit in summer- that tracks
That "Party Down" hat is a definite Ron Donald Do.
Cool!
Please do "Can't You See" by the Marshall Tucker Band
Hell of a song. I'd love to hear this.
They'd have to rustle up a flutist from somewhere.
David's Stella hat was great. I look forward to the, "Black Coffee Itch" cover.
Could happen
@MADJBAND , love this band!
Y'all did a fine job on that song!
MADJB Rhythm section always kills it.
Your A Worldwide Band !
dig the Ardmore Music Hall shirt ..last band i saw there was Wheatus
Somebody call 911😎 just in case! Keep rockin..
I need that Party Down hat.
flawless segue into another KILLER cover. Ugh i love y'all.
Awesome cover!! Wow. 🤩
Perfect... Love it.. absolutely an American band!
Ardmore Music Hall, represent!
This freaking rocks! 🤟🤟🤟 🎸 🎸🎸
Great cover
When I watch these vids, I always think the song is going to finish with, “Come on and party tonight.”
Also, more cowbell.
Absolutely fantastic, MADJB!! You guys are not only always so spot-on vocally and musically, but you are all so much fun to watch and listen to 🎼🎤🎸🎹🎸🥁🎸
MADJB pick the best songs to play! You play all of the songs my garage bands use to cover. May we suggest Wings - JET!
Nice.
Amazing cover, bros 🔥
Much respect for the Ardmore Music Hall t-shirt!
Shoutout Ardmore Music Hall!
the party down hat! incredible work dudes!
love you guys. and I get your main ouvre...but I think you could broaden your work to include a lot of other artists from decades later...while still doing 70's stuff. I'd love to see a Queen cover, and maybe an Adam Ant cover? Dave Matthews? Foo Fighters? You're all really talented and I wish I were Sweet Teddy P. Is there an Emmy for Best Dad Bod Bassist? There should be!
The highlight of the week. Waiting for the south east tour…Charleston. Firefly distillery. 🎉 hint hint.
Build Me Up Buttercup!
More cow bell!!
I want to see you do "Can You Picture That?" from the first Muppet Movie. That song rocks and you guys would do it well.
OH YES
I've always wondered this: you know the line, "The hotel detective, he was outta sight!" Does that mean, that he was super cool - "outtasight, man!", or just that he wasn't around - "out of sight". Anyone?
After this, KISS’s “Shout It Out Loud” would be amazing. Honestly, anything off of Destroyer would be amazing. 😅
Christine Sixteen!?
OMG so well done...KUDOS to all!
Burnin' for You BOC
This does sweet justice to the bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher…
Been a fan since Dry Cold Canadian Winter.
Needs more cowbell.
It was giving me a fever.
Brilliant!!! As always.
You guys seem like you'd have a blast doing CCRs Lookin' Out My Back Door
As always you guys ROCKED IT!!!!!
Love the Ardmore Music Hall shirt! Much love from the Philly burbs 🫡
SWEET SWEET SWEET SWEET SWEET SWEET SWEET SWEET TEDDY P.!
I'm always amzed how clean your sound and mixing is. Fantastic stuff.
Loved you guys since The State!
We just covered this song for July 4th! Love your version!
You guys are simply great! Your covers are amazingly as accurate as the original.
I love Ken's vocals, but I hope this won't be the last time we hear Jon take a verse - he sounded awesome.
Great song and great production. Sound quality is great, wondering how you pull off such great quality for YT.
Why don’t these guys have their own Sirius-XM channel? My next suggestion: Long Live Rock by The Who
Man, I really love this project that y'all created!
I’ve always wondered.. ever since this song came out.. who is “sweet sweet Connie”, the opening act who “had the whole show and that’s a natural fact “? Great great cover, too; American or Canadian, it doesn’t matter!
Loved it!!! I love looking at all the stuff in the background. Love you guys ❤
I did not know Paul Schaffer could sing !
Pretty sure that is not Paul Schaffer, because that is me, and I am not Paul Schaffer.
Shout out Montreal! 🤙
love this!
Are we having fun yet?!
Frigging awesome dudes! Just found you on instagram and had to immediately come to UA-cam to see y’all’s stuff. Great energy and showmanship!!
Hell yeah. This is an incredible cover! Party Down forever. I'd love to see a gear breakdown on David's kit, and I would love to know how you guys achieve such fantastic live recordings in a garage.
FWIW, I hit the like button before the video started during the ad…
🤘🤘🤘
It's funny you mention that at the end-my friends and I used to do a cover of this at a local tea shop with altered words, and the chorus was "We're a Canadian band"
Paradise By the Dashboard Light ;)
Needs More Cowbell
Dig it.
They're in a Montreal band! They're in a Montreal band!
The keyboard part is signature, not hearing any of that.
Great youtube channel, or greatest youtube channel?
Why not both?
Desperately solid. Hey, why not "Never Been Any Reason," by Head East?
Also, Canada is in America, which is a freakin' hemisphere and not just the U.S., after all.
Canada is in America, thr north part
Canadians are Americans, too!
Nobody who says 'Montreal' like that is from Montreal.
That guitar solo should have had some wah-wah pedal on it. It's still great, though.
How 'bout some Joe Walsh next, Daddies!
How about anything by Bad Company?
have ye guys ever busted out some Styx? Come Sail Away maybe
Tom Sawyer!!!
Nice Cleveland Browns Helmet! BTW its only true Clevelanders that can pull off Classic Rock Covers
Cleveland Rocks
Needs more cowbell!
Are they really in Montreal?
Where are the backup babes??
Babes will be back!
