At first, because of the title, I thought it was just another one of those "I took both songs and mashed them together" type deals, but then upon giving it an actual listen, I found myself unable to recognize them. Took a couple seconds before the realization hit that this was actually more like a thematic genre blend rather than direct, and immediately it felt 100x more awesome. Strangely enough, some parts also vaguely gave me Metroid vibes, but that's prolly because it's like a blend between sci-fi and mysticism. But yea, needless to say, this whole album is a right banger, and I'm gonna be linking it to all of my pals, cause it's incredibly underrated. Was lucky enough to have popped in because Not a Heart, But An Engine came up in my recommended, and while usually I glance over random song suggestions (weirdly picky at times, I can't help it), the cover art caught my eye and got me to click on it. I could ramble on a lot, but yea, this is one amazing album, probably even a new favorite overall for me, which is rare considerin I mostly only listened to video game OSTs in the past (though maybe that's also part of why it caught my eye, as it mentioned Doom in the title). Little edit: kinda noticed that it seems like there's a transition to a new song halfway through Humanity First (at least, it feels like it). Not sure if it's part of the same thing or if there was a slip up in adding YT chapters, but it's definitely one of my favorite portions at least.
Right, the title could be interpreted as a mash up. Usually I write the genres of the music in the title like that, but in this case I thought it would give people a bit more specific info on what to expect, as "Argent Metal" as a genre name isn't that widely known. I'm glad you clicked on this video anyway, and even more so that you enjoyed it so much! Also, thank you for your support regarding sharing it with your friends, I really appreciate it. I felt the Metroid vibes too while working on this project, which is funny because they weren't intended originally. Maybe it's because I used vocals in a few parts that sound similar to some Metroid OSTs. And you're right, there is a slip up with the YT chapters! Thanks for letting me know.
Brother. I can not believe your work has gone this undervalued. It is such a great work of art, and it is like no other thing i have seen before. I pray to the God Machine, for the UA-cam algorithm to bless many others as it has blessed the ones who have stumbled upon your artwork.
this is so fire. In my pathfinder game there's a group of cultists that like to replace body parts with daemonic cybernetics. They've since been wiped out, but I have a villain in this new campaign that's studying their research. I'm going to use some of this as his music.
" I Swear to Protect" Is my absolute favorite. Having that on repeat for a while. Hit me in all of my beloved emotions. Swaying to it with my hands up to the air! I feel closer to the Omnissiah!
This sounds like rock mixed up with some synth electronic music, and a really good mix of both, you dont just hear it, you FEEL it and very well so. This is simply amazing, never seen anything like this before. The intro, (Rejoice, For We Were Once Blessed (Chant of Remembrance)) sounds like the beginning of an empire or maybe awakening of a long slumbering steel giant, being awaken as the imperial castle where it once lived and which once guarded is now in attack and his world is aswell, it even feels very sentimental, like the saviour giant knight of steel is here, but also a fallen world in biblical proportions, feels biblical even, i dont know, it's hard to put into words, it's beautiful and emotional.
I read Horus Heresy book Mechanicum to this playing in the background. I'd like to think that the Legio Tempestus and Knights of Taranis would be rocking this stuff in their Titan Warlords and Reavers when fighting against Legio Mortis on Mars.
I had never imagined to find such insane bangers through background music in a kitbashing video. An instant download on spotify. Can't wait to hear whatever you come up with next. Keep up the work man!
Next up will likely be some Ambient DnB, Neo Folk and Maidcore, one album each. But I also recently started working on a game OST, which will generally be argent metal just like this album.
I am at a loss of words. This is absolutely insanely on fire. I can't imagine a scenario hype enough to have this running as its soundtrack. It's as if you blended Ultrakill, Trepang2, Doom Eternal and Dusk into a slurry and injected it straight into my veins.
Exceptionally high quality album, and greater than the sum of its parts. The heavier tracks are intense, and the quieter bits thoughtful and almost nostalgic. Personal favorites would be Rejoice and, of course, Not A Heart. Looking forward to checking out your other stuff!
Hey. Just wanted to let ya know that your music serves as a good fuel for creativity when writing about a revolution of a cyborg cult on an exploitative dystopian factory planet. I've had this particular album on repeat for hours and never got tired, thank you for inspirations!
Woah damn.. I love this album. I Swear To Protect speaks to me with its grounded, slow and heavy pace and holy shit.. I'm literally obsessed with On The Edge Of My Ability. Not only because of the fact that the title is just so fitting to my mental state of the last weeks, it's also just so great with its mechanical voices, especially the beginning is so hooking. I really love your work here again! Please keep it up :3
Piqued my interest with the title, hooked me with the first song, locked me in with the second. Hell yeah, I'm so glad I clicked on this, and loving how its not just a simple mashup either but a unique remix!
This is really good.. title's kind of confusing, lol. Like some other people said I was expecting OST- this is frigging awesome. The way you manage to combine the ambient, religious themes and the heavy, awesome sections.. this is simply an amazing release. Thank you for making this!
Thank you for listening and your kind words! And yes, I agree. In future releases I will very likely return to simply putting the genre in the title instead of the main inspirations. I did it for this release and Gun Knight because I thought people would get a better idea on what to expect from each album.
@@TarkTheWanderer This album is also really it's own thing, you don't really have to give that image to people. Let them vibe on your own terms until it's done
Absolutely beautiful work, the metroid and admech influences are clear but this remains something incredible, unique, and special all on its own. Approved and sanctified by the Holy Writ of the Machine God, 10/10!! Also, random question, who's the artist for the cover? It looks sick!!
Thank you! The main image on the cover was made with AI, and I edited it a bit, especially the colors, to give it more character. Everything else on the cover I made myself.
obligatory Delay Lama, i never listened to dubstep but im starting to understand the appeal somewhat, i love it I honestly forgot about subscribing, but i remember why now, because you dont go for the same formula as every channel making "argent metal". They´re like if half of the class copied one guys homework.
The time when I listened to dubstep is long over, but I actually didn't get Delay Lama from there. The first and foremost reason why I started using it was simply because it's an easy to use and free vocal synthesizer. (Fun Fact: In this project it wasn't easy to use at all however. Turns out that running three Delay Lama instances on top of a project that already brings your CPU and RAM near 100% usage results in a lot of crashes and errors lol) Argent Metal for me provides something that I've always been missing in Metal and that no other subgenre can satisfy. In that regard I also appreciate a lot of the tracks of other artists that use the same original formula, but I also don't want the genre to stagnate and then just kinda disappear because of it. I think it needs to develop and evolve.
This is very interesting argent metal release, love it so much❤ But one thing is strange, when at 17:15 feels like start of new track but it don't written in timecodes
is it fine to recommend a song? if so i was thinking u could try and make a EDM hardcore metal song meant for battle, one with properties like the artist figure's raining blood but with riffs like this 3:00 if that's even possible for u, either way its your decision if u wanna note my recommendation
Thank you! I actually never considered selling an album cover as a poster until I read your comment. However, if the demand is big enough I'll look into how to make it happen!
Is there someplace I can find the higher resolution version of the cover art (not the cover itself)? I really like it, but it was obviously compressed for the cover.
I used AI to create the base image and edited it afterwards to give it character. Though I'm hoping to work with proper artists for my future album covers.
@@TarkTheWanderer I'm not much a fan of AI art on its own, but using it as a base or model to work from (or as inspiration) is a use I can definitely get behind, especially with the themes of the album itself here!
@@addisonmartin3200 Same here honestly. Using AI images as a base or inspiration, or simply just playing around with it, is my preferred usage.
