That's a coincidence Angela ...Jo Douglas was the presenter and her Maiden name was Rickett I worked for her Dad and her brother taught me to drive in 1962

Done at the height of skiffle and pre-Beatles. Top of the Pops and RSG took over. Nice opening shot of a streamlined LMS Coronation Class.

Whilst looking for something else, as one does, I came across this entry so went to it right away based on memories when a six year old. Great to relive the memories.

This was an early version, Don Lang and his Frantic 5 ended up singing the title song :)

This is the original Six Five theme tune, played by the Bob Cort Skiffle Group. After a few episodes it was replaced by a cover played by the show's houseband Don Lang and his Frantic Five. I like Don a lot, but the Cort version was far better !

Jack Good and Pete Murray were the comperes but Freddie Mills was often involved.

wee willie harris was a regular on this show he sang and played the piano a girl would come out of the audience and dance around the floor.
