- It's 2024 and I decided to take a casual walk through Gulf City Mall, La Romaine. This is one of the original shopping malls in Trinidad and one of the first in South Trinidad. a lot has changed since then in both appearances and the sheer volume of patrons that walked through this mall during the 1980s and 1990s. If I am not mistaken, this mall had the ONLY bowling alley in Trinidad.

Gulf City Mall is so beautiful with lots of decorations and well stocked stores it's so much better than Trincity mall is a poor man's mall so dull half of the stores closed and the open ones are poorly stocked, Cult City Mall is the place to shop the prices are better than Trincity mall too
