I think you’re missing the most interesting part of Mogbo. Yeah he’s a good, switchable defender, but it’s the passing and decision making for me. The passes he can throw with anticipation and some of the off ball cuts tell me that he is a very high level reader of the game. I don’t really know what his role on offense is going to be in the NBA but elite athlete and elite decision maker seems like a really interesting starting point.

He’s 6’6 with shoes on. He better transition from not playing the 5. That’s wild if he used to be a PG before he grew a lot because he shot 0% from three in college
I was wondering what Hoop Intellect looks like. Am I tripping or does he look like he could be Zaccharie Risacher's relative? Haha
Man this guy is basically most similar to Draymond. The same defensive and offensive savy. The same incredible strength and physicality. He's more athletic and a better ball handler than Draymond. A crazy good rebounder in traffic. Able to seal off much taller players. Will jump to the ball and win rebounds in tight. He is a touch below Draymond in passing and perhaps an even worse shooter. His touch even on floaters, jump hooks and layups are very questionable. Although he gets around that by dunking a lot.
Verdict is that he is a very good utility big, well worth a non-lottery first round pick. Will do a bit of everything on defense and hopefully balance out his terrible shooting touch on offense with good cutting, screening, passing and rebounding. There is basically no star potential with his absolutely horrible shoot touch (from all over the floor) but there is a Draymond level super role player somewhere in there.
