LONG LIVE DYLAN RIEDER🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
That's why we're all here
He was so good
Dylan Rieder you were awesome. No logos no corporate agenda just pure awesome skating.
TOXIC TeslaStein hes a skating angel
.
Danna howold ride now fifty
So what u want everyone to ride plain ass clothes plain ass decks inna plain ass world I never understood skaters like u no offense I really don’t understand the hate for skating company’s by some people it’s beyond me u guys think they are like evil or something when dude it helps skateboarding i understand people not wanting to end up main stream I get that mindset but at the same time u gotta think about the future of skating for future generations skateboarding is an amazing thing and everyone should skate
@Rad Aesthetics it’s tru idk why people hate on skaters just for having sponsors
@@Hayden11335 I agree with you
Dylan Rieder was amazing, will never forget the first time I watched his part in one of the Transworld videos. He had the last part and it really showed why. Rest in Piece, a lot of love and respect from my family to you and yours. Never be forgotten.
one of the funnest SLS events ever to watch still to this day
Damn right
Rest In Peace Dylan Rieder❤️
seeing dylan and luan(style goats) in the same event, seeing dylan ripping it all healthy and well is such an amazing experience
watching this over again because of Dylan. Missed him already
Every year i come back to this video to see Dylan skate. And Chris. Good times, and this comp was sick as hell
Dylan
Myles Goldman He died on my birthday.....
He died 5 days before my birthday as well. It's super sad man because he was such a great skater.
He was such an awesome nice, down to earth dude. .not to mention, a freakin powerhouse while on his board.
He is definetly missed. Peace, Eric
Omg hes dead noo 😢😭
no shit.. about 2 years late
Dylan Rieder, thank you for your time!
2020: Still one of the best SLS events to date.
I've been watching SLS for almost a decade, and this is still one of the best SLS finals to ever go down... gives me chills everytime.
I cant believe how few years back i was coming out of NYC LES skatepark and Dylan just skated up to shred in it. R.I.P its amazing ive seen you in life.
Re-watching this hit me hard, as soon as Dylan hit the first feeble it all came back. 😢 Rest in peace legend.
Rest in peace dylan, one of the legends.
Only came to see Dylan..
Diego Sanchez he so shit lmaooooo
deego bernie Have some respect dude.
deego bernie he died u dumbass
i dont get it hes supposed to be a model but he has a broken vshirt to show his tits :v
Diego Sanchez me too. Fron Lima-Perú
Dylan is what made me love this sport. Speed and throwing tricks after tricks nonstop. Nowadays everyone goes slow and cautious.
This SLS was unbelievable. Such a classic. All my favorite pros killing it! The level of skating is better now but the energy here is waaay better
36:41 "Mikey's been known to work a pole"
LOOL
Ahahahaha felix is insane
RIP Brother... :,(
dude wtf Sean Malto should've gotten a 2nd chance
no, it didn't break it fell apart because he didn't have it tight enough, literally his trucks must have had like not even 4 full rotations with a tool tightening them. I mean they probably got loose, but he should know when his trucks are that loose somethings up, or should at least have looked and saw how far the bold wasn't on. That wouldn't make it fair for every one to have a redo if something breaks, would you honestly want a competition where every rider had a truck break on the first heat, and give them all a re-do, what if they did it to see what tricks people had behind them. It's obviously a good rule for a reason. Just like if you snap a board, witch is actually less of the skaters fault, however still is, if they land on it that way, and weight distribution snaps it, or cracks it, they still end up skating the broken board and it sucks, but it would be stupid and not fair for re-dos.
@@drmayne2071 No, you're wrong. His Kingpin has broken. Happens quite often in Skateboarding and is not the skaters fault.
@@tilapias2214 no he's actually right. I always check my board before shredding so there's less of a chance for anything to break or fall off. He's going against professionals. He should've been more cautious. Also chiefs suck
@@tilapias2214 That wasn't a broken Kingpin. That was only Malto's fault as he clearly didn't check his board. It also clearly states a broken board doesn't get a 2nd run anyway. You can literally see the kingpin nut and bushing rolling away before he ollies. It was just too loose as Matthew Weston stated previously.
@@Newdoolz-19 comment did not age well
Dylan brought me here... RIP
Nearly 6 years later and this is still my favorite stop in sls
my too, i'm brazilian, and i like the shane's line...
Holy fuck that impact section was intense. Everyone deserved to win.
Always going for team Cole though when it comes down to it.
Same Chris Cole my fav tbh
RIP DYLAN :'(
This the one where Dylan Rieder did really good. Wish he was still in this. Damn shame they let this guy go 😢😩😰
Skate|2|EDM Pretty much the biggest reason im rewatching this whole thing right now
Skate|2|EDM Of course you like him. He's your twin brother
i wish! :D
They gave him the leukemia.
They killed him.
i think Luan Oliveira is the Best off all :D He is damn good
My fav skater is Shane o'neill, so tec
The guy won the berrics and was suppose to win majority of the competitions in USA but he's a little too brazilian to be scored fairly. So they give most of it to the best local kid
Dude this one was awesome
About to rewatch for Dylan Rieder 🖤❤️
The best Street League Event so far !
Luan getting underscored af or nyjah's getting overscored, maybe both
I think the judges love to see tricks on a big obstacle. Luan is more like a flat ground-ish, which is also god damn good.
True
Nyjah is overscored
yeah, some Nyjah's tricks were overscored a bit
Both
Here for Dylan Rieder ✊ R.I.P
this is the best SLS i have seen thus far!
I cant see why Oliveira scores so low. Dude throws down on EVERYTHING. His runs aren't quite as smooth as Hustons, but theyre definitely more technical. I think if Huston threw that fakie flip tail-270 out it would have rang a 9. An 8.4? come on
hes got no style, and skates too fast during his runs, does not ride enough switch
I don't disagree with the style bit, Nyjah definitely has him beat there. But too fast? The faster you can pull a trick the better. Speed should be rewarded.
How one flows should be, watch Jason Lee's part in video days, looks like he belonged on a board, I don't know hard to explain I guess, oh side note Joslin should clean up in in SLS this year
I thought Joslin would win fo sho guess it wasnt his day :(
+Nick Capannelli Lol Luan has no style? or was you talking about Nyjah
@36:14 rieder flicking someone off
hahaa yes Dylan 36:12
You know this is old when it says spurs and heat in the NBA finals 30:44
yeet HAHAHA
Wow! Anyone that made it to see this final certainly got their money worth. What a 9Club entertainment special. These are what make Y.T special. An archive of great moments. All of those guys were incredible. Bummer for Malto and Taylor but hey, at least they can say they were up there. Thanks to all those guys for this event.
Dylan forever ❤️🌹
favorite sls
damn Dylan. Rip. Too damn good..
Schred in peace
36:13 got to love dylan
Visiting from the future of 2019 and the progression is insane!
impact section was epic on this one
was about to cried when I saw Dylan, then Mikey saved me, spent the last hour figuring out how he got into street league :D
😭😭😭
God I miss the flow and control sections, definitely need to bring those back, love seeing them change up the runs, and then trying stuff on something other than the big rail
The skating has progressed so much it makes it hard to watch these old ones
I feel like the judges be slacking on the scoring sometimes
Not for Ninejah
been complaining about judges since the first xgames... so subjective..
B.B.O RVA- Richmond Virginia Association especially with the gap to blunts
dude that switch heel backside tail slide from prod was sick but... 94!?!?!
and then cole does a blut flip out! and gets less? okay...
Nyjah:breathes
Judges:thats a 9
skate in heaven dylan, rest easy
Rip Dylan Rieder
RIP Dylan im still pissed u didnt win this one. 🌹
Oh fuck I'm just now hearing about this so fucking sad
Rip Dylan😕🤘🏾
they could of gave malto another run
Toby Seals or someone who gave him a skate quickly to finish the minute, but i think same as you
Emiliano Gauna yeah.
that was the unluckiest thing i've seen in a contest, they should of at least stopped the clock and then wait till he get a new board
they use new boards, so why would the screw come off on first trick?! seems like manipulation to me...
Toby Seals o
So once Nike bought this thing all of a sudden everybody is getting 9s? But that full up and down fs smith from dylan gets an 8?
Felt really sad when Malto's truck broke :-(
What kinda truck did he have ?
@@omaromerika1390 broken ones
@@konspiracyspice6867 lmao
@@omaromerika1390 Lol i think he rides thunder lights. Watch his set up video ;)
@@Dan-eq8nn lmafao a f150?
RiP Dylan ! Super dope and one of the best showmanship I’ve ever seen .
horrible judges!!
that's shit malto should have been given another run
This was so fun to attend. Wish they still came to KC.
You can see malto a kingpin bolt and bushings fall off right before he Ollie’s. KC pride watching the throwback
I love Dylan rieder 36:13
Dylan was fucking amazing and his style..
i love nyjah huston he almost never misses it's like he stops time!
Wait... You don't know he's an alien. WTF
lol
Wow I stopped following skateboarding a while ago, like 10 years ago. I skated with Paul Rodreguiz and have been catching up and see that Nyjah is one of if not the best, at least in tournments (Yuto Horigame has my vote though as #1 so clean and so good) I remember Nyjah when he was a little kid on element with long hair, he was in these posters from magizenes and I never knew who it was, I came to realize yesterday it was Nyjah the dude I just learned about a week ago, while I had saw him in magizenes since I was 13 and am about 6 years older, man he's so good, and had the awesome chance to grow up around such good skaters it's obvious why he is so good. Being on element for a while (i think like a long ass time) or whatever teams, he got to skate with the best since a little kid, and you can learn so much when your younger, especially before like 11 or 12 years old. I never was that good, all my friends sponsored by at least local shops and parks and half by another company, I never got it. Then when I was like 23-26 I stepped on a shit board at a kmart in the ile and could land tricks I couldn't when I skated daily all day when I was younger. It's weird I have a set up again and cannot ride as good, like just riding balance and all, but I can do tricks I never could, it's so weird. veryday, Now 29, just a few months ago I was 28 and talking to a friend driving about the same thing, how he said it's because we are smarter now, in his words. I agreed you understand just naturally how physics work, it's carzy I know there are people probably 25 and up who know exactly what I'm talking about, my friend who was amazing does, and he was so good then. Well I was driving him home from work as he says "guess who heelflipped that 9 stair 4 months ago" I'm like who, he says "me", it's like you mofo I could never ollie it and you dont even skate anymore and can still do that, I remember he ollied the most sketchy 14 stair, no trick but an ollie was all that ever was gonna be done, it was so bad no room to start, it wasn't skatable, ahppened to be connected to the building of our local skatepark, and no matter who you are the cracks and rocks and starting area was just fucked up, sadly after dropping him off, I was the last person to talk to him, as he was found dead by his GF later that night. RIP MT
Oh yeah the reason I was commenting is I had no idea until now P. Rod and Nyjah were competing ageinst each other ever, or both in the spot light in (at least part) of their prime. I stopped paying much attention in 2010 probably maybe earlier like 2007.
Thank you
nollie crooked 8.9? really nyjah?
dylan
best. street. league. ever!!!!!!!!
Chris cole gap to noseblunt=9.2. Nyjah same trick=9.8. Gg
Jesus Powell Bs Noseblunts are way sicker than Fs Noseblunts.
+King Garoo A blunt is a blunt dude.
+Tristen Whitlock no, they aren't. they may be the same kind of trick, but they have totally different levels of difficulty. putting FS and BS in the same bag makes no sense.
+Tristen Whitlock And how is that obvious? There was nothing in your statement that gave any indication that you know anything about skateboarding at all. For all we know you could be a complete idiot.
Bs nose blunts are way harder though
Dylan Rieder's style is super amazing to me!
RIP Dylan. Keep grinding up there
SLS love Nyjah, they steal all the time
21:05
Should've been an 8.9
How tf did Mikey Taylor get in this😂
Prod skates like someone who pretended he is goofy all his career just to be able to skate regular as switch, fuck he's ambidextrous
1:15:40 makes nollie look fakie...
I was thinking the same... in fact i was to leave a comment of that...when i skated first i felt comfortable as goofy, but to make some tricks i realized that i was regular... Maybe something like that happened with P Rod, just that he still skating as goofy forcing his skills...
I was actually at this one. My first skate competition ever.
Uma das maiores etapas do Street League que já vi
Published on my birthday!
GO!! Nyjah
Re watching this to see Dylan, maaan that was his day... Felt so good watching him at his Best on a contest for a no contest skater, rest in peace
Anyone else notice Nyjah and Mikey wearing almost identical outfits 😂
rip Dylan
fuck this was truly the best Street League ever forsure. With Dylan ripping and legit EVERYONE else putting down 9 after 9. such a treat, it’ll never be like this again.
Damn Dylan. We miss you! . . Peace, Eric
Don't know if Nyjah's was overscored or not but Chris Cole and P Rod were underscored for sure.
Luan also underscored
Miss it🖤🖤
45:20 Man my boy skated even sexier than he looked like, if that is even possible. Rest in peace Dude.
Nyjah farts on his board!
The judges are going mental!
It’s a perfect 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
dude got a 9 club for nollie crooked grind, and luan did a ""switch"" nose slide bigspin out, he got 7.5 -_-. Like wtf
RIP Dylan
Dylan deserved the win Nyjahs scores were bs! Ride In Peace Dylan
So good
Someone sabotaged Sean Malto's board. So Fucked up..
Hardware fell off before he popped. He should have gotten a re-start.
+Randy Marsh He rides his front truck so loose the nut had nothing to hang on to LOL
+TypicalAmericanScum so true though
that was entertaining af
Here for DR 🌹
That's right
5:35 He's lucky he's that tall, else...
i like this Nyjah, I miss Dylan.🌹🌹🌹
Im just here to see Dylan Rieder 😭
Someone who knows skateboarding better than me, tell me is this really a 'switch, frontside 270 kickflip' for Chris Cole (as the commentator said) at 25:41? It looks more like a frontside 360 hardflip maybe?
it might look like it but cause chris's body rotates it becomes a 270
amazing!!!!!!!!!!
malto definitly should have got another run
17:41 The GoPro!!! Maybe that's why his truck fell off! :O
Yup
It looked like Nyjah was lifted of the ground 29:55 in the background
