- Recently I decided to give the abandoned Wet & Wild Waterpark a go in Newcastle as was in the area. Firstly the place is definitely now showing signs of overgrowth outside and some of the slides have started to be taken down.
However, the place is watched by security so was not expecting to get inside or have long in the place but turns out it was our lucky day as there was a massive hole at the top of the building so we climbed up and took a peak at what was left behind.

Had some really good times there when I was a kid. I didn’t even know it was closed. I had my little girl and thought can’t wait to relive me childhood and then looked and it was closed 😭.

Miss this place. My Best memory of this place is having my bullocks nearly ripped off by the kamikaze slide then cryin to ma gran who took me. still fun times tho. Really does not feel like all too long ago

Everyone wants to go inside of this place now. I hope the new owners manage to re-open this place. I used to spend all day there. Great memories! 😭❤️
Heard they might reopen it however the owners are on about most likely demolishing it I think
Crazy that it's abandoned and have been for a long time why let it sit and rott and no body trys to explore it because people get busted in the place 😂🤣
We knew we would probably be caught and there is usually no access but was worth a look and soon as we spotted an opening straight for it lol

Those pieces of slide in the overgrowth arent a demolished slide. Wet n Wild purchased a slide some years back and it never got built. This was just before they hit financial issues/operating losses.

No point waiting for a dog best to get out scope and see what the response if any or if the alarms are loud we were just unlucky as the police guy was parked around the corner having his lunch when he got the call 🤣
@BeardedReality the big area police station is just 5mins away, I had a long video inside, but stupid me let the armed police bloke watch it nd he deleted it nd I couldn't get it back haha
Great video, glad you got in. Went there when it was open and had some very good times. It’s just been bought so probs be knocked down I wish it would reopen 😢 I would love to try to get in before it’s sold x
Heard it may reopen however apparently from other sources it will not so probs will be demolished
Loved this place when I was little! My kids would of loved this place now! Shame it wasn’t looked after & still open, we’re missing a place like this
