We don't realize how fiddly and time consuming it all is. Thank you so much for persevering as this is something really useful which I am sure lots of us will want to make
thank you very much for all your hard work in making these videos. I can only imagine how sometimes it's a laborous and time and energy consuming work. For what it's worth, I still (after reviewing lots and lots of crochet videos) think that yours are THE BEST and you are The Queen of Crochet!!! :)))) Thanks again!
Thanks Maureen.. yes, it does have lots of potential for personalizing it to your own tastes! I try to keep all my designs simple, but I still want them to look cute, and to seem more complicated it actually is. I really, really like it in black.
I am making this shrug right now. I am so glad that you take the time and effort to post a video on your patterns. This is why I enjoy buying your patterns and recommend them. The videos are so helpful. I would not be able to do the new patterns without one. Thanks again!
I really love this shawl. I may have to refresh my crocheting knowledge so I can make one for myself. It's such a simple design with the potential for lots of personalization. You also did a great job explaining and demonstrating the steps that it makes it very easy to follow along. :)
I actually made this shrug under your direction, thank you so much for taking time out of your day to show us hope make things on our own. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment, and proud of myself. I will post a pic of it when I figure out how to do it.
Thank you so much for all the hard work you do to bring us such awesome videos. I truly appreciate it, I've learned so much from you. May God bless you!
I've nearly finished the shrug, enjoyed every stitch made.Once again thank you for sharing your patterns, your tutorials are so easy to follow , you are a very good teacher.
Thank you very much. Im a beginner and Im trying to do the blouse because is really beautiful. You are a very good teacher. I have seen the video many times because you are fast but Im doing it very well. Thanks for share your talent with other people. God bless you.
Thank you so much for all the time you invest in making these awesome videos for us! I'm an avid crocheter and I find your videos very creative and to-the-point. Thanks again Emi for all your hard work! It's very much appreciated. If I can figure out how to inbox you I'll send you some pics of of some of the items I've crocheted using your videos:)
Emmy, I love this pattern! I've made three and I'm going to buy the larger size patterns because ladies just love it. Thank you for your straight to the point tutorials and easy to follow stitches.
Yay! Glad you are finding the pattern easy!! I don't have a post office box... but if you really want to do that, you could purchase a pattern from one of my shops... my ravelry shop does not require registration, you can purchase as a guest. My ravelry link is below this video.
OMG thank you so much for sharing this your videos are so easy to follow and so thorough this is what all the women in my family are getting for christmas gifts lol
Number of additional chains needed... but I see that I would need to purchase the pattern for a larger bust size. Ah, c'est la vie! It's a beautiful shrug! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much for this video! I like being able to see the different stitches worked, and how it is supposed to look after certain rows, rather then when I just do a pattern, and realize it isn't done right when I get to the end! I also enjoy the fact that you don't have to cut the yarn until you're done, so if it doesn't work out properly, you can just undo it! Great pattern! I will definitely be making this very soon!
Dear Emi i follow your channel and i am so pleased because you are learning us all these new amazing designs!!!! I will definitely try to do this one and i will go for the long sleeves..... Keep up with new projects......Thank you soooo much.....a friend from Greece.....
Hi Emi I know this is an older video, I made some of these tops years ago and I wanted to do again, thanks Emi for leaving it up, I love this pattern so pretty, happy crocheting from Ireland x
haha - 10 days?? I worked on a simple baby blanket for almost a year and I've been slowly crocheting an easy vest for over a month now! it's amazing how you can just whip something like this up :) I love watching - thanks for sharing!
Hi EMI ive been a follower. I love your tutorials and i learned a lot. Im a beginner.Looking for a top that is easy to follow and i was able to make it and im on my last row. So happy with the outcome.Thank you so much for sharing. Im giving it as a gift.
Uts easy to make and easy to follow. Thanks for the tutorial I made a lot of this kind and I still have customers who ordered this design with the color of their choice. Thanks again for the patter.
This is a very beautiful shrug! Thank you for the tutorial. It was such a easy tutorial to follow. I am definitely making this for my sister, for Christmas. Thank you again..it's beautiful.
I can do all the stitches you used like the double crocheting so I should be able to do it lol I love your videos on crotcheting they are fab and very easy to follow Tfs Hun xxxx Wendy
note : if you get a error message say that it could not find the addie for this video ,refresh your page for this video , i did and thankfully it loaded for me. love the shrug the lacy design is wonderful.
Hmmmm, well, I guess it would all depend on what style of dress you would like. My newest crochet pattern for the Pink Summer sweater could be made longer to work as a dress, and would probably benefit from a belted waist....
Hi dragonfireblood. It's not just a matter of making one adjustment... there would be more adjustments to make along the way, including changes made to accommodate arm holes etc., so, of course, it could be done, but there isn't enough room here on youtube messages to do that. (Hence the pattern being made available for purchase.)
I have designed this pattern to be as simple as possible... really... just simple stitches, but looks more complicated in the end than it really is! You could make it in a day if you are motivated.. and if you like to take your time, then possibly in 2 days... (I can complete one in about 2 1/2 hours, but I crochet at warp speed, lol.) Would love to see your finished results!! You can post on my facebook page, the link is below the video.
Well, each size in this design is a whole different pattern.. so... it would require more changes than I can post here on youtube. There is a pattern available for purchase, which includes all sizes from age 12 to adult XLarge in the link below this video.
No, the counts are not the same with size 7 hook... you can make it with a size 7 hook, but it would probably only fit a child of about 8 years old. The easiest thing for you to do, is to find a size 9mm hook, as the pattern would call for adjustments made up to the underarms to make it with a smaller hook.
Aww... thanks so much craftylady. You can post photos on my facebook page, Hectanooga on facebook...Thank you for watching my videos.. and have a great day. Emi
hi emi. I'm also a beginner (started in February) lol. I'm loving crochet and your videos. I have made your halter top, hobo bag and several of you flowers. I want to make this top but ubsure how to size it to a women's XXL. any advise?
I just love you! I have made several thing that you have posted!! im trying to figure out how to make a summer dress. any suggestions? im a size medium and have made a skirt already and think that this top will make it pop! love, love, love the simplicity of the videos! thank you for making them and helping a crochet nut like me.
Thats really beautiful mam..loved it..but may i ask if i have to make one for me..a medium size then what would i have to do means how many stitches do i need or measurement..am 25 years old with medium size..thankyou
I bought the pattern for this shrug love it. My question is I need a bigger size how do I add sizes bigger?? Thanks for sharing pattern was very easy for me and I love this shrug..
You would have to begin with more stitches in the foundation chain. But then you would have to make adjustments when you reach for the openings of the armholes.
Hi Emi- I have my own account now (used to be Evan!). I made 2 of these so far, the last in a mohair like yarn and I really love the look,. For the last I did more stitches on the edge which made a sort of ruffle in the front, so it doesn't need to be belted and can be worn open. I just love the ease of pattern. Still looking for that nubby black yarn! Please let me know if u have a post office box. I would like to send you a gift card in appreciation!
Hi.it's a nice video.can u plz tell how we can start for medium n large sizes?at least tell me the beginning chain n then the increases...ONE REQUEST PLZ ADD A DETAIL VIDEO HOW TO MAKE AN LARGE SIZE ADULT CARDIGAN..WILL BE REALLY THANKFUL.

We are so lucky that you work that hard and make it easy for us. The least I can do is watch the whole commercial so it helps you!🐕
I think only 'clicks' on the commercials count. (If someone actually clicks on the commercial and goes to the site of the advertisers.)
i always love ur vedio..very simple yet elegant..thanks a lot
I made this and it is so easy and fast.I am planning to make more either longer or long sleeved.

It should flatten out with the next few rows, as there are no more increase in stitches for a few rows, which allows the work to flatten back out.
That is gorgeous! Thank you for sharing it with us!
This is very beautiful, im so glad you shared, thank you!
Thank you so much for the video! I am making this now following your instructions!
That's great Val... have fun crocheting! Emi

It would work, but if you make it according the the stitch counts included in this video, it would only fit a child of about 10 years of age.
