    thank you very much for all your hard work in making these videos. I can only imagine how sometimes it's a laborous and time and energy consuming work. For what it's worth, I still (after reviewing lots and lots of crochet videos) think that yours are THE BEST and you are The Queen of Crochet!!! :)))) Thanks again!

    Thanks Maureen.. yes, it does have lots of potential for personalizing it to your own tastes! I try to keep all my designs simple, but I still want them to look cute, and to seem more complicated it actually is. I really, really like it in black.

    I am making this shrug right now. I am so glad that you take the time and effort to post a video on your patterns. This is why I enjoy buying your patterns and recommend them. The videos are so helpful. I would not be able to do the new patterns without one. Thanks again!

    I really love this shawl. I may have to refresh my crocheting knowledge so I can make one for myself. It's such a simple design with the potential for lots of personalization. You also did a great job explaining and demonstrating the steps that it makes it very easy to follow along. :)

    Thank you so much for this video! I like being able to see the different stitches worked, and how it is supposed to look after certain rows, rather then when I just do a pattern, and realize it isn't done right when I get to the end! I also enjoy the fact that you don't have to cut the yarn until you're done, so if it doesn't work out properly, you can just undo it! Great pattern! I will definitely be making this very soon!

    Hmmmm, well, I guess it would all depend on what style of dress you would like. My newest crochet pattern for the Pink Summer sweater could be made longer to work as a dress, and would probably benefit from a belted waist....

    Hi dragonfireblood. It's not just a matter of making one adjustment... there would be more adjustments to make along the way, including changes made to accommodate arm holes etc., so, of course, it could be done, but there isn't enough room here on youtube messages to do that. (Hence the pattern being made available for purchase.)

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  11 років тому

    It should flatten out with the next few rows, as there are no more increase in stitches for a few rows, which allows the work to flatten back out.

    I have designed this pattern to be as simple as possible... really... just simple stitches, but looks more complicated in the end than it really is!
    You could make it in a day if you are motivated.. and if you like to take your time, then possibly in 2 days... (I can complete one in about 2 1/2 hours, but I crochet at warp speed, lol.) Would love to see your finished results!! You can post on my facebook page, the link is below the video.

    Well, each size in this design is a whole different pattern.. so... it would require more changes than I can post here on youtube.
    There is a pattern available for purchase, which includes all sizes from age 12 to adult XLarge in the link below this video.

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  11 років тому

    No, the counts are not the same with size 7 hook... you can make it with a size 7 hook, but it would probably only fit a child of about 8 years old.
    The easiest thing for you to do, is to find a size 9mm hook, as the pattern would call for adjustments made up to the underarms to make it with a smaller hook.

  • @Hectanooga1
    @Hectanooga1  11 років тому

    Repeat step 7 for as many rows as needed. Then proceed to step 8

      You would have to begin with more stitches in the foundation chain. But then you would have to make adjustments when you reach for the openings of the armholes.

    Hi Emi- I have my own account now (used to be Evan!). I made 2 of these so far, the last in a mohair like yarn and I really love the look,. For the last I did more stitches on the edge which made a sort of ruffle in the front, so it doesn't need to be belted and can be worn open. I just love the ease of pattern. Still looking for that nubby black yarn! Please let me know if u have a post office box. I would like to send you a gift card in appreciation!
