Hey Jag, I just finished my second CBG. The first one is a 25 inch scale, the second one is an 23 inch guitar. I figured that the scale length is also a point to consider. On the 23 inch I tried the skinny strings 8,11 and 14, wanted to tune EBE one octave higher, but finally had to tune GDG one octave higher than on "regular" string gauges on CBG's, to have an accurate string tension.

8’s are extremely thin so that makes sense. Shoot me a video of it! Enjoy!
