The contrast between the harp and the heavy chello could not be better. It sure represents the whole feeling of this beautiful yet doomed zone at its best.
My nostalgia really acts up at 7:09. I used to roleplay my human Rogue with a blood elf Rogue in Eversong Woods nearly every day from afternoon to late into the night. I hadn't cross-faction roleplayed often, but for me, this was magical. I can't explain it. The scenery was absolutely magnificent, the music only offsetting the perfect ambience. Things ended unfortunately, but I will never forget the moonlit escapades and the moments those two had as well as the fun that I had as a player. The Eversong Woods night music hits me right in the heart, and since our roleplays were mainly in the evening, it brings back nostalgia. The thing is, this was back in February. I can only imagine how I will feel the more that time passes. I doubt anyone cares, but I think about it often because it was just so memorable.
@@xerilaun It isn't as intense as it was but I still can't hear this music without thinking about it! I'll look at the screenshots once in a long while. :)
@@DaggersEdge I feel the same way! I draw WoW artwork on occasion and listen to the music while I draw and I get those same types of flashbacks. Lovely memories.
Your comment is such a beautiful time capsule of personal joy, sheer fucking joy. You say no one cares, but I bet many people feel just like you did, and reading this reminds them, even for a moment, just how special those times were. Thank you for sharing this 8 years ago.
This makes me so emotional. God, I remember first EVER time I got onto WoW, I made a blood elf hunter. I really miss the old days. It was so simple! No gear, no spells or anything. The hardest thing to was to run away from 5 Tenders attacking you xDD

Seek the truth on the Scriptures and practice the Word to be holy.
i always come back to this. its a type of nostalgia but also sadness. i used to RP in eversong woods with friends and met so many new people. unfortunately i wasn't able to establish a long-term friendship with any of them so, for the most part, all of them were forgotten. something that i'll never forget though is the safe space & community they provided for me and so many others, something that helped me discover my own queerness separate from the emotionally taxing irl environment i was in. younger me would've never known it, but if he saw how authentically me i'd lead my life--maybe he would've stuck around a little bit longer and collected those battletags
I look back on my days in that community with a certain fondness, but at the same time have no wishes to relive them. So much has changed between now and then, mostly for the better. That great, oppressive storm cloud following me for the better part of 15 years, finally left me in 2020. I got into a committed relationship for the first time in my life, and found steady employment. I didn't exactly outgrow roleplay, but I did outgrow WoW - later stories just stopped holding appeal, and the final nail was done in when the allegations started coming out. Hard to reconcile with the game world I loved, maybe even still love to some extent. WoW was a beautiful escape from a sometimes bleak childhood, and I'll always appreciate that about it.
7:10 just reminds me of 2007 so much. Used to visit my classmates after school to watch them play WoW. I remember just neglecting school to play this game and I do not regret it one bit. The strongest memories of that year are from playing this game, it's a bittersweet nostalgia
Bro same, I skipped so much school for TBC. I was horde, the Blood elves where so cool to me, I rolled one. And this music just gives me goosebumpbs, remanant of a time everything seemed to be better and interesting
I don't know what is more beautiful - the music or the area. I would like to live there, I just love this "autumnish" atmosphere :]. And the blood elf architecture too.

Started playing WoW back in HS (2007) when BC just came out. I ended up playing a Belf pally as well; and then eventually switched to Belf Mage as my main. Ended up going end game and eventually reached SWP w my guild. But out of all the places I couldve gone to, or go farm. I would always constantly just teleport here and chill, listen to the music. So calming and beautiful.. I miss the old days !!
Only gods know how many Bloodelf characters I created just to be able to play in this wonderful location and listen to this beautiful music. My heart stays in the Eversong Woods and in the Silvermoon city forever.
It's quite effective in creating a wounded feeling. When you hear this music while walking through the beautiful Eversong Woods, you almost wonder what there is to mourn. All that beauty and calm. And then you see it. The Dead Scar: infested by Scourge minions. It hits you like a brick wall. You understand all that the blood elves lost, and that this music is really their requim.
I love this. Ahh the music of WoW the best music ever. They really put a lot of time and effort into it, I love to listen to it even when I'm not playing. All of it.
I don't care how redundant the score's music is, they did a wonderful job of creating an atmosphere that complements the visuals perfectly! I'm not a big gamer at all but for the first hour (that I was nearly forced) to play this game, I immediately fell in love with it for the environments they had created, the music painting most of it.
This music is the reason I miss being a low level Blood Elf. It was the first sound I ever heard after creating my first character, and I still love the Scenery and music
i remember when my best friend used to tell me about this game years ago, and then when he got the game in his pc, i played a bit with him, and then i became addicted, my first char was demonology warlock, and his was a retribution paladin. then other 3 friends joined in the game, we used to do raids, to kill Illidan...ohhh^^ such great times and memories with this game ^^ we wasn't playing all the time, we were hanging out too and talk about wow and items :)) this game is just awesome^^
Oh my god, rising up memories, from where i best remember them. In vanilia i just leveled up some random new characters all the time, but ofc had an alt. oh my god, im nearly crying, so fantastic music i want vanilia or TBC back, the moments, the community, the Server BG's and Dungeon, where people from only YOUR server where in. I want "Walk to the dungeon" again, and i want BALANCE in pvp. I want my real life friends to play this game again. I feel all alone, all my irl friends stopped playing
This song would always put me to sleep when I would stay up really late grinding. I quit WoW more than a year ago but it still does the trick when I can't sleep. :3
Yeah, that's how i feel right now man, best start zone ever, i remember my belf warlock. I WAS SO BAD AT THE GAME, but it was just so interesting. JESUS, i miss this excellent game...
This is one of my favourite WoW musics. I have had many Blood Elf trials, and many Blood Elf characters at the PTR, and it let me feel that I am in some sort of mysterious place, where everything could happen to me, I could be hit by a meteor, there could be an invasion of undead, or their could happen nothing (The first things doesn't happen to much at WoW I hope :o). I seriously love that music!
with you here. My friends played alliance, but really the blood elves had it going especially in TBC. The atmosphere was so wow. We all have these races that just fits us, and Blood Elve paladin was it for me. No doubt.
I loved the BC x-pack. The Draenai were a race constantly harassed throughout history, and their beginning town was raided as well. The Blood Elves were an elegant race with talent with magic. Kael had sworn allegiance to the horde and all Blood Elves were sworn into that pact. I sort of wish both Blood Elves and Draenai fought together.
I miss the old days of wow when you had to figure everything out for yourself .. people didn’t watch UA-cam cause it wasn’t even created .. there was no streamers .. nothing. Just get lost in the wow and love the game. This song brings back memory’s
+Lysandros Bafaloukos I just LOVE the Belf Starting zones. It has such a strong nostalgic feeling! My first days of playing this game. Eversong Woods, Ghostlands. Amazing!
This score is my absolute favorite in WoW despite the fact that I don't like Blood Elves. It is delightfully creepy! I always take my Undeads to Eversong and crank the tunes.
Sin'dorei, the last part of the Quel'dorei, they just need such an majestic music that describes all his suffered pain to the last part of the noble race... I can walk with my mind through the time and see all his disgraces, Its a sad music theme.
One can tell if they notice the little hisses of the breathing when it comes to the recorder that Blizz has live, performed music, and not electronical for most, if not all, there music.
playing as a b elf durring night time gave me the greatest first impression than playing on any other race on wow... it just amazing how i still get the same feeling as i did playing as a b elf for the first time walking down dawning lane....unintentionally i dont get the same feeling as a night elf anymore :(
For everyone hurting for these days to come back... I understand.. I miss them too.. For those of you that this was your first MMO grats. You will probaly never have this experience again. My first MMO that I really got into was FF11 about 2-3 years before WoW came out. I feel the same way about that game too. the GOOD news is there are other new games coming out waiting for us to explore! Keep an open mind and expectations minimal for the best experience! I reccomend Terra and GW2!
DUDE !!! THATS SO TRUE !!! DUDE YOU READ MY MIND !!! EXACTLY !!! I think is more cool leveling then making your gear ... making level with friends ... team work ...
Damn. Im happy I quit wow, but sometimes at random moments, the wow music just plays in my head, and I just have to look it up on youtube. Im glad I was able to stop wow, but when I hear this music, I feel very sad and would love to play it for a couple of hours. More than 2 years ago btw.
I truly hope that there will be more Outland- and Twisting Nether-related expansions. I truly liked the High Fantasy feel of BC. And the Demons bent on destruction of Azeroth. And Fel Reavers. And the World PvP. And ALL!!!
Everyone seems to hate blood elves so much. It's true, I rolled my second character and first horde character as a blood elf when i was 12-ish. But still, I was not cocky and nowadays that is my main. I am a holy paladin that takes care of people with needs in my guild, and I love my horde mates, as they apreciate me.
I play as a blood elf. Went in to a dungeon with 4 taurens. They started to hate me cause im a be. Then they couldnt beat last boss because tauren 1 was too stubborn to not stand in black muck that was dealing damage. Then he left after 3 wipe. It's not like befs are bad and stupid. Putting all ppl in the same category is worse than rude. Because I've met countless numbers of stupid orcs or taurens that cant even reply on chat or give you party when there is an important quest boss to kill.
Can't speak for everyone else, but I hate blood elves because they were an awesome race with amazing lore, architecture, armor and weapons and that got ruined by the actual people that play as blood elves. I'm not going to say there aren't bad orcs or tauren out there or that every blood elf player is awful, but I know for a fact that a majority of all the shitty people I have to deal play as blood elves. What lore-wise is a race built upon addiction and devastation is in-game a race tarnished by floozies, angsty teenagers, children and ERPrs.
Well, this comment of mine was a bit cringe when I look at it nowadays. But I believe because world of warcraft used to feel like an actual world. We would pour our personalities into our characters, even when we were not on roleplay servers.
Taurens and Blood elves have the most epic music in the game. Thunderbluff music is the only reason i chill there...I'm always afraid that i'll fall off if i move towards the AH xD
They tried influencing Queen Azshara in the first place, which if the portal to the nether had been successful, the Old Gods would have escaped their bindings. The Old Gods also worked through Deathwing in Draenor when the Old Gods aligned themselves with the twilight's hammer orcs, who at the time were under the control of Cho'gall and allies of the burning legion through Gul'dan.
@pb999999999 I feel ya man. Quit wow for about a year now, yet I hear the song in my head and go to youtube....then memories flood back and makes me want to play for just a bit, but ya just gotta get past it. Shame that you can quit wow but it stays with you for basically rest of time.
@CrookedSmirk Its been more than 3 years since I last played world of warcraft. Still hurts to listen this music ;) This, and Mulgore, are by far the most peacefull starting area's, and both have awsome music aswell
remember checking out previews and spoilers of this expansion on my gaming desktop ..now i'm stuck with a macbook for college and no money, what the fuck happened..
I'm talking about the atmosphere during TBC expansion, and the people I spent time with there. They are all gone now. Now it's more or less a death place where people only comes to quickly level their alts.
Pandaren Monks have been around since the Warcraft games, I don't really know what gave them the idea to shape an expansion out of it though. Though I am a fan of the Asian inspired MMO continents, I loved the Factions expansion for Guild Wars.
The blood elf area music is literally ingrained into my brain at this point

yeah pretty much it's the instrument that does it all

Music does take part in the game. So I'd say it isn't bad.
absolutely not

No, I'm the same way, especially given that's what I'll be hearing 90% of the time, so it needs to be good to keep me immersed.

My first character was a blood elf, brings back many great memories :D
Stuck between choosing a classic or incredible reaction :P Guess i'll go with classic since i have a lot of memories with eversong.
Sin'dorei, the last part of the Quel'dorei, they just need such an majestic music that describes all his suffered pain to the last part of the noble race... I can walk with my mind through the time and see all his disgraces, Its a sad music theme.
I've been playing since Burning Crusade, and the Eversong Woods music still creeps me out.
Magnifique j'adore 🤗💫😘
Damn. Im happy I quit wow, but sometimes at random moments, the wow music just plays in my head, and I just have to look it up on youtube.
Im glad I was able to stop wow, but when I hear this music, I feel very sad and would love to play it for a couple of hours. More than 2 years ago btw.
Really neat starting zone
I truly hope that there will be more Outland- and Twisting Nether-related expansions. I truly liked the High Fantasy feel of BC. And the Demons bent on destruction of Azeroth. And Fel Reavers. And the World PvP. And ALL!!!
6:00 - 6:45 The chime at 6:45 is prefect.
^ well said
They hate them mostly because they're so common.
Well, this comment of mine was a bit cringe when I look at it nowadays. But I believe because world of warcraft used to feel like an actual world. We would pour our personalities into our characters, even when we were not on roleplay servers.
Beautiful.
A beautiful piece to accompany a majestic land filled with dangerous undead and magic at every turn. What happened to the warcraft I remember?
i miss this place
First song I liked when I first started playing ^^
This is the only thing which make me regrets all these long hours and days on World of Warcraft... Burning Crusade represents so much to me...
I
So easy to see this is the core elvish spirit of "The Song of the Highborn"
And people wonder why we pay £9/ month for this?
Point them to the soundtrack alone.
Do you still think the same?
@@Rinkuu9 yes
Yep
cello is why i love this then.
Jesus fucking christ. So much nostalgic moments.
I want to cry LOL.
burning crusade.. nostalgia..
beautiful.
Indeed, my friend.
@CrookedSmirk
Its been more than 3 years since I last played world of warcraft. Still hurts to listen this music ;)
This, and Mulgore, are by far the most peacefull starting area's, and both have awsome music aswell
remember checking out previews and spoilers of this expansion on my gaming desktop ..now i'm stuck with a macbook for college and no money, what the fuck happened..
Oh man I'm tearing up!! D:
