May I suggest that you try not buying fast food for the month and work out how much you save and keep out of the shops that “trip” you up 😉 Goodluck ladies

Just dont go into b&m / h&b just don’t go in think of the money saving to spend on your cruise
- dont go into subway/ fast food takeaways

Hi Carla, one way to stop spending as much is to stop buying bottled water. Take your own bottle and fill it up before you go. If you do t enjoy tap water by a Brita or something g similar to filter your water and keep it in the fridge. Buying water is just ridiculous.

I agree - to me its like paying for fresh air!
I think I’m much better at low-spend since the pandemic. I got out of the habit of shopping as a leisure activity and into the habit of going essentials shopping much less often and with a list. It’s really satisfying to use up the last of something rather than having loads of back-ups cluttering the place. My top tip would be try to meal plan at least for a few days a week,based around what you already have in stock and write your shopping list after that.
Ooh loved this. I will do quite well as I am going away with my sister who has been known to drag me away from tne stationery aisle literally. She helped me pack when my Mum sadly passed away so all my hoardes were seen. This is going to be fun xx
When people do no spends they usually determine specific no spend categories / criteria (no spend on clothes, makeup, books, etc).

Problem is our leisure time for many means a trip to the shops and shopping centres blame the corporate world 🙏 the key here is to find something to replace the 'trip to the shops' as a hobby

This is brilliant. We started the same 3 weeks ago to save for a holiday next year. Our teenage boys are on board , turning lights off etc! They are doing really well. We are eating down freezer as well. I have lost weight as i am walking to the supermarket furthest away, as its cheaper and i am questioning myself as to whether I really need something! Win win. Enjoyed this video Carla, never miss any, but rarely comment. We could all do with spending less on food, you mentioned going through the freezer and making meals from scratch. I love to do this occasionally, some of the meals are a bit of a strange mix, but we always enjoy them. Good luck.xx

I need to do this, & I keep telling myself I will, but because I’m disabled, I end up relying on easy cook meals sometimes rather than cooking from the freezer, but I really need to make an effort. I’ve also got a baking cupboard with baking supplies, if I want a sweet treat I should get my butt in gear and bake! I might try a variation of this next month. I can’t get out to get cash out as I don’t drive and have no friends or family to help but perhaps I can just transfer a set amount to my debit card and say right.. stick to this. Good luck ladies, be interesting to see how you get on!! I’m sure you’ll smash it!
(Spend very little for the first two weeks, you can always buy a few treats in the next 2, won’t feel so punishing then, haha!) xx
My Mum was a Parkinsons patient plus Lewy Body.Terrible disease!she did suffer unfortunately x

Ladies, I am not criticizing, just hoping to help! I am presuming you have potable tap water in your homes. I refuse to buy bottled water. The number of discarded plastic bottles wordwide is mindbogling staggering!!! Buy good quality metal water bottles , fill them up and enjoy. Good luck on your June mission. Enjoy life. 😂❤
I never drink tap water I buy bottles even my cat has the bottled water I recycle my bottles
When I visited England last year the tap water tasted great. Saves a lot of money.
Hey Carla, I live in south Devon and we had no choice but to buy bottled water, and in fact was actually delivered to us for free as the water was contaminated. But all resolved now hopefully, however, I followed you lots during lockdown and you’re 7 stone weight loss truly inspired me , I think you are a lovely lady and very funny, but out of curiosity ? Do you think not having to cook and eating out is your social life has ruined your diet? You did amazing and I know you can do it again! Not a criticism chick just an observation xx

I'm good at buying basics I drink tap water also but I can also spend spend 🙃 given the opertunity but I'm used to havin nothing and goin without stuff doesn't bother me x

I have been on a no spend for some time now. I budget back 20.00 for groceries a week, that is for eggs milk and fresh stuff. Other than the groceries I spend nothing on anything. The easiest way for me to do it is stay home don't go out. It is difficult for me to go shopping and just pick up what I need and leave. Good luck and even if you mess up get right back at it.

tips for travellers is a MUST youtube channel of a very nice British man (Gary Bembridge) who has taken over 100 cruises. All his videos are specifically to give cruisers information about lines, locations, booking, etc.
I've done the tui cruise and they are really good value for money they do two types of drinks packages I know that yourself Carla are not a drinker but it will include your sof6 drinks and water and other drinks. We've done the Caribbean cruise twice and really enjoyed the captain nights and the port's maybe price those up.

Yes it has to cover everything that isn’t a monthly bill.

Hi guys . Loved the video you s are very natural together and funny. I ve done no spend periods .The first time was hard but perseverance will get you a great end result and once you have managed threw 1 low spend you will be able to do more .So yous will get your cruise. To help you s constantly look at cruises and mentally picture your self there and that will also help you s save your pennies. Good luck. I never buy bottled water, tap water for me lol. But I do spend too much. I'm sure if I can reign it in a bit I can retire. I'm almost 68 and still working full time, 12 hour shifts. I must be mad. But I love cruising too.
