  • First time on a track,2004 KTM 450 EXC. It was lots of fun!! A slow play of my improvements on track riding, a crash, some MAJOR kid rippers, too!

I did, but my suspension was not set up for track. I'd bottom out on the small track, and I was too scared to catch the big air anyway lmaoo. I need to get some pads for sure but, ya know... new tires are screaming my name hahaha

I have the opportunity to buy a 2004 ktm 450 exc for cheap and it’s super nice I know the owner. My question is how do you like yours? Does the power feel like your constantly fighting it or scared to get thrown back? I haven’t rode in 10 years and I’m 6’2” 250 lbs

Love it! Great power, controllable, but I also ride with a recluse. I came froma. Ttr 230 so I had some minimal throttle control already. It'll throw ya but its much less aggressive than a crf 450 r which I had before. I run a 52 tooth rear

@@MudaFugasMoto so when taking off and shifting it’s not gonna be like a power band in a 2 stroke right? I’m just trying to do light easy trail rides without falling on my ass because of too much power

@@FURFEELINGS_3 I mean, any bike can torque you off but a 450 has much more power than a 250. I have a rekluse and a 52 tooth (might be 50 I forget) instead of a 48. Its geared for higher speeds and a little bit less torque. This bike can and will rip ya off your bike if you're inexperienced. Mine is fairly mellowed out bit this bike is not a race bike neither. The power is there if you want it, and as long as you have good throttle control you will do fine. Otherwise let me buy it. :)

This is my first ride 3 months ago on this bike. My initial reaction was not enough power. Now that I've owned the bike for some time I am happy and maybe I'd like a little more power but overall the only thing I would change is the weight. Its not super heavy but it is bulky. 30 lbs heavier combined with the bulkiness-but I still keep up with our groups best riders.

This is a full throttle blitz, tires spun through the first 3 gears (speedo is on the front not the rear.) This was shortly after I purchased the bike. I have since got much better at abusing the rear slide, power braking and better my skills at drifting out of corners.
I'd say go for it buddy. I love this bike but I definately wouldn't mind a newer one
