@27:40 red die is designated as hit location die. @28:07 Red die (6) was accidentally used again for damage. It’s not really a big deal, but worth noting.
Great play through of the first adventure unfortunately I missed the 1st print of LOD and will be getting the second reprint on gamefound really enjoyed the video well done and please continue with more .It is fun to see things not go so well sometimes when the dwalf got knocked down I think it makes the game more interesting and real.
This is the most painful weight from any game I think I ever liked the second printing on gamefound does not start until late September plus the wait for the delivery I have a feeling we're going to get some acrylic standees I asked about acrylic standees and Miniatures and Michael left a comment saying I will touch on this with a :-) winky emoji CC can't wait so until then I was thinking about grabbing dungeon universalis dungeon Crusade my pretty expensive to get the all-in and I'm an all-or-nothing kind of guy LOL I did grab gloomhaven Georgia online so we'll see how that goes but anyways great videos keep up the good work
Really nice playthrough, thank you 🙂I'm definitely no rules expert, but the only ones that might be worth looking up are: Zone of Control, which I think you are right that it only costs 1 Movement to enter a ZoC, and 2 to move through it. Reload Ranged Weapon, I believe when your ranger moves you can also "reload for free" with a single action point, so can then use the 2nd AP to Aim/Shoot.
Just coming to the channel and this game. Cheers! This game reminds me of Dungeon Universalis in that it tries to micromanage too much. For example with the Wizard, you had to do a basic hit, then an arcane hit, just to land a spell. With this being the intro tutorial fight, it just screams boredom and repetitive failed attacks. I would have to house rule a “steady yourself” mechanic that for every 2 misses, you or the enemy gains +5 stackable CS on your next attack action this encounter. If that’s a miss, net +5 additional until a hit occurs. Perhaps later vids show the battle system is balanced, but it’s a really tough slog it seems early on.
Thanks for watching! It is pretty fiddly and makes for some frustrating encounters. Due to this my wish is that dungeons were half the length. Overall though I like the system especially when it’s going my way. I like the idea of a steel yourself type of mechanic! Good work.
just arrived backed as it felt very advanced hero questy to me with extras and not just rats and lost my hero quest tiles kinda like the 2d standees even though tended to move to smaller smaller scale recently 2d also save space but space wise boy that box was huge and heavy ..positive vibes other wise dont think it buyers regret yet
I so want to like this. My parcel has just arrived. And yet I cannot get my head around the roll low core mechanic. It seems so counter intuitive to me.
It is a “high stats are good” mechanic. If it were instead “roll above”, then you would get the infamous THAC0 complaints (lower score is better for THAC0 and for AC in D&D2e). So, pick your poison…designer chose “roll below” here. It does mean I need new dice weighted the other way though 😂
Hi, I saw a game of League of Dungeoneers appear on my youtube lists and came to see it out of curiosity. There are some games I'm interested in, in your past videos. By the way, I really enjoyed the one you did on Elder Sign, hilarious, but I really hope you haven't given up! Funny thing is, I sold Arkham Horror LCG for this one a few days ago because of AH's repetitive scenarios. I also play Eldritch Horror, and I love getting beat up by the Ancients haha.. I wonder if it wouldn't be more frustrating to win these kinds of matches too often. That's what makes them fun I think.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I sold Elder Sign a long time ago, so unfortunately, the elder gods won that one. Glad you enjoyed it. I always like, adding a few silly jokes here and there in my videos.
I really like it! It’s pretty simple especially compared to this game. I agree that is really repetitive though. I took a break for a while and actually just played another game this weekend.
What I do not like from watching this, is how the ranged monsters AI is complete useless. How many times was that monster not attacking but either reloading, aiming, moving away? That is not well thought out at all.
Great video, this really helped me out getting to grips with the first scenario, thank you so much!
Great to hear! Thanks for watching.

Thanks for pointing that out.
Just wanted to point out that you actually did use the green die for damage, since the weapon's damage is d6+2 and you did 6 damage total

Thanks Mark!
Trying to decide whether to buy this or not and this really helps! Thank you for posting such great play through!
Thanks for watching
Great run through. Just watched it whilst sleeving my copy. Got cramp in my hand now!
Thanks! There are SO many cards.

Thanks for the comment! If the Ranger can do that, that would be a game changer! I’ll make sure to check that. Thanks again.
Thanks so Much for your Videos, Awesome job, congrats !!!

It is an adjustment for sure

Where is this video on Elder Sign? I am unable to find it in your list of videos.

Also how are you enjoying bardsung?I am almost finished with the game it is very repetitive which I knew going in,but very barebones dungeon crawl.

Does the plastic sleeves come with game or do you buy them? I am looking for some for my games
They came with my copy but I believe it’s a Kickstarter addition.
Sleeve Kings is a great site that I’ve used.

Sure enough. Dice determining actions can lend itself to dumb enemy decisions!
