Nice channel. New sub indeed 👍
This is a very learnfull video, i am a totaly solder n00b so learning stuff like this is great for beginners like me. :)
If anything, the video could help you decide what not to buy.
Look into the Atten 1509 soldering station. It has a wide selection of handles and tips, including tweezers. It’s been working well for me for about a year so far.
The tweezer handle looks quite awesome for that unit
Interesting. Those fine tips don't seem to be able to transfer heat well enough for the job.
The wider ones that the Handskit came with may do the job, but I'd need to revisit them.
the Yihua Soldering hot tweezers seem very nice sagly ksger do not have any for my station
I suppose you could compare the pinout between the connectors. Perhaps you can find some compatible ones.
What would you say would be safer in removing these caps to NOT pull a trace? The Yihua or twisting method?
Probably the Yihua, but it will be more time consuming. I have found that I almost never tear pads/traces if you twist and do not pull up.
I use two soldering irons for removing taler components.
I thought about doing that. That's pretty high skill right there.
I thing those tweezers are good for remove the caps but not to solder the new ones. Better use the regular iron like your hakko or a cheaper FX888d.
I agree.
