Nice video. I'd have added Zico at least. Now if I concentrate only on a ranking I fully disagree is Sergio Ramos. Especially, focusing on back-line players he can't stand next to the type of player Beckenbauer was. Beckenbauer was a deep-lying playmaker playing as centre-back. A mix of X.Alonso and Gerrard with the influence of a playmaker. Ramos started as an average RB considered too weak defensively to be at that time CB, during this period he built his main part of his NT trophies. Then he did great during CB period in Madrid and in EC12 but, puyol out, Spain defense became weaker and weaker Ramos being the boss. So for me he was not as good for Spain that trophies would may think. Ramos is probably not even in the 4th tier (Same for others back-line players btw) even if he is one of the greatest back-line player of all time. Definitely too high.

The fact that Mbappe is on this list only proves a desperate search for a next football legend. Mbappe just scored an incredible goal in the World Cup final, in other ways he has been a disappointment, so let's wait until he accomplishes something big on his own. I haven't seen the whole video yet, but Lewandowski and Suarez did not appear, which would constitute a crime if they did not appear.
I feel Ryan Giggs belongs on this list if only for longevity and accolades. His trophy cabinet dwarfs most on this list-many combined. And 41 champions league assists doesn’t lie. His records remain unbeaten.
Because he's the greatest Champion's League Player by a mile? He and Messi would each have like 10+ Ballon D'ors if the other did not excist. Ronaldo also played in a country that was never a World Cup country and still brought Portugal to their first 2 trophies in history. Messi was seen as a national dissapointment until he redeemed himself with that Copa America win and that amazing World Cup run. I don't think Pele would have won 3 or even 1 World Cup in Ronaldo's position and no idea how the brazilian would have performed in today's game that's drowned in Guardiola's positional play. All 3 of them the greatest attackers of the beautiful game's history but comparing Pele with the other 2 is simply not 100% possible.
A world cup isn't everything... Yes Pele has World cups, but his numbers and reach nowhere near Ronaldo's. And where would you put Maradona? Don't look at who's in the same tier with him, just look at him as a lone player. There's only space for 3 players in the 2 tiers above him. And you can't put him above Ronaldo now can you? The only way Maradona is in tier 2 is if Pele goes 1 down, but that's an argument to be had
They all play in different eras, so it's probably not fair comparing those numbers.... Pele and Maradona are the greatest players of their generations, Ronaldo is not the greatest of his generation, so, I will put Pele where he is and swap Ronaldo with Maradona.
I think why I personally would name Ronaldo as the greatest ever is because of his longevity and consistence, I value that very much. Staying on the top of the charts for nearly 20 years proving himself time and time again making his age seem like a joke is what defines greatness for me.
Mate, you missed a very important fact: just ask all the other players in your pyramid, who they wanted to be like when they were kids, who they wanted to be a footballer for. 90% will say: Diego Armando Maradona! And that's because the rest are older. Diego is like the Beatles. He was that influential.
Also, Romario. He just jumped teams a lot so it feels like he didn't have a legacy. But he should be above all defensive players and so far ahead of Zidane and even ahead of Gerd Torpedo Muller. Not even R9 made it look as easy to score.
I'd personally put more italian defenders and midfielders into the lower tiers and move Maldini probably up a tier, add Thomas Müller and Toni Kroos into the lower spots, throw Mbappe out (for now), i'd also move Zizou down a tier because he's more compareable to a Iniesta then a R9 or Cruyff.
"What (Zinedine) Zidane could do with a ball, Maradona could do with an orange.", Platini dixit Zizou, what a player, of course... maybe we need more tiers
I’m Brazilian, and placing Cafu in tier 4 is not reasonable; it’s too much of an overstatement. He is not even close to Roberto Carlos, and Lahm as a right-back is way ahead of him. In Brazil, Cafu is considered at most a top 3 Brazilian right-back. Also, an all-time player list without Zico is an insult. As a classic number 10, he has more goals than most top strikers in history. Pelé and the greatest players of his time rank him in the same tier as Maradona, way above other players from the 80s. His dribbling, passing, playmaking, finishing, and free-kick skills are nearly perfect, easily placing him in tier 3 or 2. Gerd Muller is a deadly goal machine, and I think he is generally underestimated. I have seen hundreds of his goals, and they all look the same. Romario also has longevity and more impressive goals, with skills and dribbling. Don’t forget what he did at PSV, Barcelona, Vasco, and Flamengo. The discussion in Brazil about him is whether he is better than R9.

Haaland? You're too young man. 100's of players that would make the list before Haaland. Keep in mind that Haaland has been playing with an inform Man City team with star players in each position. Haaland has not really achieved anything with Norway internationally either.
Remove Mbappe
Put Paolo Maldini on the same page as R9 and Maradona, replace Ramos with Xavi and Iniesta.
Romario is underrated he says, and puts him in the lowest tier 😂
Basketball channels has a lot of these type of videos, football needed one. I hope we see lots of pyramid videos.
Like, "the best striker of all time" tier 4
aham, checks out.
Can't wait to see you hit million subs!
OVERRATED: Ramos, Cristiano, Neur, Mbappe
UNDERRATED: Maradona (bro.), Dino, R9, Platini
MY TIER 2: Maradona, Pele, DINO, R9
why neuer
@@Franz-fi1ne Because this is an "All-Time" list, not "Great Players" list. Neur is fantastic, but is he better than all the names left off this list? Van Basten, Zico, Garrinchas, Lev Yashin, George Best, Roberto Baggio, Laudrup, etc. are not listed, yet he's got Neur. That's crazy. You could easily make an argument he wasn't even the best German goalkeeper. Putting in Neur and not even mentioning Oliver Kahn absolutely crazy.
Awesome video but Beckenbauer actually did win a world cup.
He acknowledged that
Bro pls make another video which is only based on pure footballing abilities regardless of eras or trophies
that would mean steet footballers as well though lol
@@johnwick7583 I'm only talking about professional footballers so sadly us won't be in the list
@@Spark47742 ah so hazard then
Brazilians would dominate this list! Ronaldo #1, Ronaldinho #2, Neymar #3.
@@Mephisto707 by footballing ability I mean goalscoring, playmaking, defending etc based on one's playing position. I didn't mean just skills.
Definitely too high.
the fact that Garrinchas name doesnt even appear in the honourable mentions is wild to me
big recency bias imo (born 2006)
the omission of Lev Yashin stands out to me too
This way to frame the ‘who is he best at xxxxx’ debate is pretty good. I mean obviously disagree fundamentally with some of the picks but nice work!
Great video but at 22:32 I'd have made a distinction between 00's and 10's. That's also a decade
Yeah, I was talking about when the players on the pyramid debuted. Only Mbappé played his first professional game in the 10's.
@@Futbolistics ah ok. Makes sense
Many people underestimating Sergio Ramos, remember he has world cup, 2 euro, 5 CL, most goals as a defender and many more incredible stats
Ramos over ronaldinho. Over maldini. Over Romário. Wtf
Maradona won everything in Italy with a team of paraplegics.
and he also was robbed of a world cup in 1990
@@nahuel3256Romario single handely qualified and carried Brazil in 1994, and wasn't called to other world cups because the manager hated his posture.
He was way higher than any tier 4 star, as he also carried A LOT IN CLUB LEVEL. How can you call "the best striker in history" and put him at fucking TIER 4?
@@nahuel3256 And in 1994.
@@nahuel3256 it is funny to complain about him being "robbed" when he used his hand to score and it still counted.
Bro forgot ANTONY existed
zinedine zidane is the most overrated player of all time
People fighting for Maldini over Ramos like they saw Maldini play live
Good choice, but the pyramid should have 30 players. It is not complete without Zico, Platini, George Best, Roberto Baggio and Laudrup
At the Time of the 60s the Brazilian league was the best
Maradona in tier 3??? With Ramos??? CR7 in tier 2 with Pelé but without a world cup? What kind of pyramid is this? 😆
Messi>Ronaldo (overall stats) 🐐🇦🇷
Maldini below Ramos should be a crime
Nice Video :)
Mbappe is so fucking overrated. Even now with a stacked Madrid side he’s barely scoring in a “farmers league”
Only fools can argue that iniesta and Modric are on the same level, Iniesta is far ahead
Ronaldinho won a football championship in a paraguay prison. Who else did that?
1. Messi
2. Pele
3. R7
4. Maradona
5. Cruyff
I like your videos, but for the log, Mbappe won 2018 World Cup, and german Kaiser is a nickname for Beckenbauer not Mathäus
"What (Zinedine) Zidane could do with a ball, Maradona could do with an orange.", Platini dixit
Zizou, what a player, of course... maybe we need more tiers
Toni Kroos, maaaaaan
Paulo Maldini is a phenomenal defender, he is on par with the phenomenal Messi, Maradona, Ronaldo9. Not in terms of player consistency or trophies
Putting Ramos over, Iniesta and Xavi or even Maldini is crazy criminal. ☠️
"Xavi and Iniesta were in a shadow of a...." wait, how won a World Cup and Two European Cups without Messi? Some takes in the pyramid are really hot
Ramos being here and not Van Dijk is insane to me
Raul and Mbappe in tier 5, Van Basten and Suarez in tier 4, Ramos and Müller tier 4, Maldini and Di Stefano tier 3

Ramos has to be Tier 4. Influenced the team but more as a captain than as a CB. Maldini easily above him , also Iniesta had similar impact.
Could be argued Cryuff and Maradona deserve Tier 2 cause the guys didnt even try , Also Pele propably needs to be Tier 1 with Messi Cause if indeed his assists and goals were in a competitive enviroment as some claim, it is absurd..
There is no Suarez or Lewandowski but there is Mbappe. That doesn't make sense.
Amazing
Cannavaro is the only defender with golden ball in modern history
Ronaldo and Pele to tier 1. Not to say they are better than Messi but, they are in the same tier as Leo. Pele and Ronaldo can certainly sit in the same table as Messi. Maldini, Zidane and Ronaldo Nazario in tier 2 immediately. I know longevity is a huge factor. But a players peak is a bigger factor for me. Then promote, Xavi, Iniesta, Buffon, Nouer, Van Basten, and Garrincha to tier 3 to join Backenbour, Ramos and Maradona. Then in tier 4, include Busquets, Dani Alves, Marcelo, Best, Kroos, De Bruyne, and Suarez.

He had Bagni behind him stroppa and carne ale. So don't try to impose your system on me. Viva Diego.
no haaaha. even ronaldo fenomeno would rank higher than him. ronaldo feneomeno was a monster that not even the best italian defenders of the time could stop him and they also played with diego in their time.
Did Messi had Xavi and Iniesta in his national team? Maradona never had to deal with the mental pressure of insane expectations over his shoulders like Messi did his whole career.

@LNLBD yes but he had them for Barcelona. What mental issues.Maradona ne er earned nowhere near what Messi earns now.Nor did he have all the marketing opportunities Messi has.The training facilities were 10 percent of what they have now.Napoli had won nothing before Diego came..Diego Was Napoli.
