Doesn't appeal to me either. This is a piece that grabs you by the heart and won't let go, it should flow and enthrall. His performance fails to do so, it's overly rubato, manneristic; at times it almost feels like he's tripping. yeahso0578 - be it as it may, this is not a speed contest and Horowitz doesn't need to prove his prowess to anyone. Though quite likely I would like your version more than his ;-)...
As a Listener i am entitled to my own opinion. I dont like the changes he makes in the score, whoever is playing is not important. Piece being played for the listener just in case someone has forgotten....
I absolutely doubt you can play it like him. Even if it is "easy", it is hard to play it correctly. Pour Elise is very easy, so that means no professional pianists should play it? come on!
i think this is silly a concert for that piece im 15 and i play it better then him and like i think the old man should have done something better something more dificult not this its a beautifull pice he plays it ver nice but its to easy for him :)
great Maestro thank you for all the emotions that you offered us...
sei stato incredibile...

Wow, you must be lucky to have that piano cuz its GOOD.
sorry my bad, due to some erroneous CD printing i got it wrong =) my mistake. This is Aminor waltz =)
Ok so i think i've confirmed it , this is opus 42 Waltz in A flat NOT Opus 34 no.2 Waltz in A minor

Absolutly. He is playing too fast but thats they way they play when playing live.
I dont like this version. But thanks for sharing it with us.
sure? that with the piano...

Does anyone know if this piano is his own or is he playing a "house" piano?
i have a question , isnt this opus 42.?
Isn't this in the White House?
i think this is silly

not this
its a beautifull pice
he plays it ver nice

I don't like the way this guy plays it. Its too fast, and creepy. It takes away the romanticness. My piano teacher hates this guy.
