What was the point of the last step? What did you do when you loosened and let fluid drip then tighten back up?
    Thank you for your help!

In this case, before bleeding the brake system, the brake calliper was filled with fluid by gravity.

My brake callipers needs replacing but some sort of dark green liquid is leaking from the left side , so you know what this is ? And is it related to the brake calliper?

We do not have such information, we recommend that you consult your mechanic.

How did you stop the brake fluid coming out of the brake line?

Thank you for the feedback! Unfortunately, we didn’t show this moment in the video in the interest of time. However, in this case, the usual clamp for brake hoses was used. Best regards, Autodoc

Just User some stick or strut to press the brake pedal some inches. Master brake cLinder will close holes to reservoir. Voila, no spill

Is the process to do the rear the same?

    • @autodocuk

Thank you for your comment! Replacement will be similar, the only thing that may differ slightly is the design features of the rear brake due to the presence of a hand brake. You can find the detailed manual in the service book of your car.
      Best Reagrds, Autodoc Team!

If they’re old I’d just replace them. Mine did the same thing and it’s just nice to know I have brand new ones that I hope won’t cause problems

Thank you for your comment! It is hard to give you a proper assistance based on the description. However, most likely a special tool is required to do the brake parts. We highly recommend you do not do the vehicle service on your own, be sure to contact an expert to get the job done. Kind regards, Autodoc!

Use a screwdriver or similar tool to pry the caliper (single piston) out as the brake rotor presses the pad and thus the piston into the caliper. Just the force of leverage prys the piston back in.

Would you need to bleed the brake system after doing this??

      Thank you for your comment!
It is important after this replacement, bleed the entire hydraulic brake system.

The front caliper is the same size as the rear????

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  6 років тому

Thank you for the feedback! It all depends on the version of the car but usually the front brake calipers are bigger in size than the rear ones. Best Regards, Autodoc
