🚗 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona - Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel)
Picture car coordinator Dennis McCarthy built a variation on the Daytona with a slightly shorter nose, a slightly less elevated rear wing and slammed it over a set of custom-made 18-inch wheels wearing 275/40R18 and 315/40R18 Nitto tires. Powered by a GM 6.2-liter LS3 V8.
🚓 1970 Ford Escort MK1 RS1600 - Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker)
The production team bought five of the right-hand-drive RS1600s in Great Britain and completely rebuilt them in a British shop. That meant tearing the Escorts down to the bare shells and building them back up again. The engines were rebuilt, new five-speed manual transmissions went in behind them, new roll cages were fitted and each car was equipped with a pair of racing seats. The standard instrumentation was ditched in favor of black panels with Revotec gauges. Forget an ignition key. It's been replaced by a battery connector plug and individual switches for the fuel pump and ignition. Sitting on 13-by-7-inch Compomotive Minilite-like bladed wheels and painted up in classic blue and white, this is a great-looking little car. The 205/60R13 Federal Super Steel 595 tires fill out the wheelwells, and all the connectors, mud flaps and tie-down springs look perfectly 1970-spec. This is a badass little car.

modified by El Segundo, CA car customizer Anvil Auto. This Anvil-modified ‘Stang gallops out 805 horsepower through a 521 cid Boss 9 engine, with a specially tuned suspension, 6-piston brakes and a Kevlar clutch with 5-speed Tremec transmission.
🚓 Chieftain Tank - Shawn and Letty
it was two souped-up Vickers-Armstrong FV 4201 Chieftain tanks, to be exact - plus a pair of mock-ups built around the heavy-duty chassis of a motorhome. The tank was specially modified to be able to drive at 60mph. The two fake tanks were needed when the weight of the real ones exceeded legal limits on the roads used for filming.

As long as the tank driver isnt a psychopath, you're okay. The fastest tank can only go at 55 mph, which means you can easily outrun a tank in any situation.

Also, the tank had no commander, if people had just gotten behind it, it couldn't have hurt them.
The M18 Hellcat can actually go as fast as 59 mph. My dad's semi truck is limited to 56 mph (even through without the limit it could go much faster). The speed isn't the ace in the sleeve of the tank but the armor and guns. You can't stop it with small arms fire and most of AT missiles also can't pen it. You need a very special tool like Javelin ATGM to be able to stop it. And before you do, you will either explode from a 120mm HE round, or taken down by 12,7mm M2HB heavy mg fire.

By the way, some of those civilians definitely could've done some things better to live. For example, if the tank is behind you and running you down but isn't shooting and is focused on something else, you don't just stay in the same speed, YOU STEP ON THE GAS AND BOOK IT! If the tank is coming towards you head on, jump out of the car in time, turn the car around and book it, or drive around it if possible.

How do they rear end someone at 60-70 mph and just casually jump on to the roof of an armored vehicle, shoot through the armor like butter and kill the people in the vehicle, which then immediately pulls to right, when went of the road it was turned 75-85 degrees.

The most bizarre part of this to me is wondering why the tank is fueled and armed...and why it has such a vulnerable front section. Those exposed driver slits are ridiculous. Its begging for a 120mm apfsds DU or Tungsten penetreator straight through the driver and any poor sods in that tank with him...

One small problem on this: the Vickers-Armstrong VF4201 Cheiftain Main Battle Tank has a cruising speed of about 30 mph, even modified up the wazoo it couldn't match any of Toretto's cars speed

They could, but without any possible traffic around, a M60 Patton tank was stolen in San Diego in 1995, they were considering to dispatch the AH-1 Cobra to disable the tank, but the idea died off because of the traffic and residents.
