Not a Sunderland fan, but have a connection to the area so always hope they do well,
Sunderland supporters and the city in general deserve much better than what they are getting,

The first thing is bad management, bad choices the list goes on and on. Do we need a clear out, well yes, but start at the top down. A lot of people, including myself blamed the players as. The buck ends with the management, or the lack of. Bad management ends up with the lack of morale with the players.
Even from a Newcastle fan I expected a lot more from Sunderland Mowbray is why I backed you lot to get playoffs

What a lovely gesture by the sheff wed fans on saturday at sunderland the £800 ish collected for the Bradley Lowry foundation on top of the £30000 already donated.Yes it was a despicable thing what happened at Sheffield earlier in the season and let's hope it never happens again.Bradley was a brave little child with a love for football especially sunderland he will always be remembered and rightly so.I would love to see both proud big clubs with a great fan base unite and work together to show the football world how supporters can be as one gain a reputation for helping other fans at either club who are unfortunate to have any similar illnesses after all football is only a sport and we have to realise that some fans never live to see the good times.

Loves the videos this year mate,keep it up for next season. and I'd be happy to have KLD as long as he adjust the model. Yes still have a young team but with a core or 4 or 5 players 26-30 with experience of championship or lower end prem football.

Very very sad ending to the season...just no momentum to carry on for next season! You have to wonder what are the intentions of management for the club! or do they have their own agenda considering "Businessmen" have a large portfolio of interests & will concentrate on those interests that are doing well & let others not so profitable sleep. Most likely just hang on until a way can be seen for a profit can be had. It's a different world now where football clubs are seen as regular income therefore huge loans can be accessed to disperse in other directions.

Bishop, Bass, Anderson, Taylor, Matete, Evans (unless kept as player coach), Dack, Hjelde, Diamond, Roberts and it would not break my heart to see Triantis and Ba off too. Oh, and all of the coaching staff for a clean sweep there.We won't of course because replacing them would be a nightmare for close season when we figure in ones who will possibly/probably be sold.

Hello again Terry. Just seen your debrief of the season video and loved it. Thank you for that. I knew our form was bad but didn't realise it was that bad since February. If the season was a bit longer we would have been trying to avoid the drop. The sacking of Tony Mowbray was bordering on criminal. It really was a stupid thing to do and so unnecessary. Okay, we had been going through a rough patch but Tony would have got it sorted. I wonder what his future is now that Birmingham have been relegated. I just hope he gets better soon. The appointment of Michael Beale was just utter madness. I didn't know anything about him but from the reports I read from fans of Glasgow Rangers and QPR indicated that he was poor at best. We went downhill fast from then on really. To then get rid of him and put Michael Dodds in charge was just as mad. I think these changes had such a negative affect on the players it was no wonder it all went pear shaped. For me, I think the players mental state was affected. As we know, most of them are so young, I just wonder how the changes affected them psychologically. Also, I wouldn't have sent players out on loan. Most of them haven't been playing anyway. It's absolute madness. I would have got them all back and played them at some point. As you rightly say, we need a new manager/head coach now. What worries me is that David Moyes seems under severe pressure at West Ham (what has he done wrong)? so, Will Still may be in for that job if Moyes is sacked. We need to get Will Still in now so he can make a start for next season. I want Speakman and Dodds to go. Just leave and go wherever. I also want KLD to open his arms
to others who can help guide him towards success. I know others want him gone too, but who do we want as a new owner? Do we really want to go down the path of them up the road? Not for me thank you. If a new owner was needed, then someone local would be ideal but who would have the money? It's going to be such an important close season and I hope things will improve. I don't want the board to spend a shed load of money on players, just enough to improve the squad and make a big push for promotion next season. Though I dearly want the lads to get in the Premier League, I don't want to go up and have a relegation fight on our hands from day one. As you say, it looks like Luton and Burnley will join Sheffield United in being relegated. Surely, it can't be any fun getting battered every week even though your team is in the Premier League. It's difficult times mate. I hope KLD has learned from his mistakes and can take us forwards. I thank all the players for their efforts this season and hope that whoever moves on has success wherever they may go (as long as it's not against us.) Players look in holiday mood for the last few weeks. Like you say Terry no fight no passion no desire no want. The model needs adjusting. We need to spend some money and go for it next season. Ipswich did and it paid off. Love the video and I am hopeful for some euros content

I noticed Dodds was asked do we need a striker and he said number 9s are hard to get as they are goal scorers so we might need to look at other players to get the goals. The hierarchy are blind to what’s needed and constantly avoid the question regarding buying an experienced goal scorer. We are a total mess with this lot

I noticed after our 3-1 win over a tired Plymouth Argyle team on February 10th,we had one win,2 draws and 8 losses. That's 5 points in 11 games. That's .4545 points per game. Over a 46 game season, you'd only have 21 points,which is 6 points behind last place Rotherham United this year. Now that's really scary! We need a good coach and about 5 or 6 good experienced players with 1 or 2 of them being good strikers. I'll be a little nervous,Terry, this entire off season. Ha'Way the lads! Sunderland til I die.
Terry when you think about it you have players who have trained under Dodds, Beale, and Mowbray all different playing styles, players brought in who can only play a certain style of play hence why they were bought bye whichever manager/ Coach.
So whoever is the next coach & DOF then first of all these need to be on the same page regarding a playing style so when Sunderland go for players they know they will fit the style of play the new coach will demand from those players.
You definitely need some experience in the squad to help the younger players aged around 27/29 the only downside is when you come to move those players on they won’t have much if any value but it’s essential they have the right attitude and lead from the front and in training they show and help the younger players.
Anyway that’s my opinion goals wins games but a good defence wins titles/Championships so getting the balance correct is equally important.

Whatever coach comes in will want reassurance that the club learns from its mistakes, willing to back them, their style of football and backing in the market. It seems Will Still is the front runner and Rene Maric closely behind. Both uproven but no doubt would make for an exciting season

I wish I were more qualified to weigh in, admittedly I'm not but here goes anyway. If KLD is going to make a go of it at Sunderland I think the wisest move he could make is to hire at least one front office person with a lifetime of professional English football experience and step back from decision making, rather focusing on providing revenue and customer service with fans. The head coach position is even more crucial, and the wise owner listens to the gaffer and goes after the talent he needs to implement his scheme. Hire the best and let them do their thing I say. The promotion squad from 2021/22 is far, far better than the current squad. We missed signing Broadhead, Simms, Gelhardt, etc. We dispensed with Mowbray & slid desperately downhill..huge rebuild needed & quickly, NOT in the last few hours of the transfer window!!

Terry, thanks for the videos this season. Always enjoy watching. We've gone backwards since May '22, spectacularly. Do you think the likes of Clarke, Roberts, Hume, Ballard would sign for us now? - no chance. Don't know where this lack of ambition has come from? It must be KLD and he has totally bottled it. Did he think we were going to waltz in premier without spending a penny? He tried to do it on a shoe-string and got found out. Look at Ipswich - they had the balls to go for it and it paid off - I hope they stay up next year because they deserve it. In League One, yes we were a big team. Now we're just also rans and that is embarrassing when you consider the resources we've - eg. When we're playing well, we consistently have better attendences than Villa, Chelsea, Everton, Palace, Brighton, Fulham. There's nothing more as fans that we can do - except turn up and watch. We're at the mercy of a mickey-mouse owner making rediculous decisions on our behalf, and frankly we deserve better. Even rival fans on this channel were saying we'd made a big mistake. So, thank you Tony Mowbray for your 19 games in charge - they probably saved us from relegation. He was probably our player of the season! Who is going to save us next year? Given the performances in the 2nd half of the season, if we don't sort this out soon, and get a bit of pride and ambition or get shot of KLD, we'll find ourselves back in L1 again.

I'm still in favour of a sustainable club based on developing young players. BUT they simply have to be a little more flexible with regards to experience. And of course the recruitment simply has to be better than the last 2 windows. If they fail & the malaise of the last 5 months continues then we'll be relegated next season. Time for Speakman & co to prove their worth & get us back on track, starting with a good head coach. Interesting summer ahead, what could possibly go wrong ? 🤣

Just watched the U21 game against Wolves. What an exciting team to watch, full of confidence, structure, passion and they have these dudes on the pitch call (S T R I K E R S), must be a new concept, but, they put the round bouncy thing in the oppositions net. What a novel idea, this then means they win a game, which is the opposite of what I see when watching the 1st team.
I know where we finished was not good, but, imagine where we would have finished if we had a couple of proven strikers
Hi Terry, yes we need to have a clear out, starting at the top. Speakman must go, but i dont think he will, he has to much say in running of the club. He is virtually unsackable. The coaching staff need a complete overhaul. I agree with you that that the new head coach/manager needs to be in asap, if not there is a possibility that Doddzz and Proctor will be in for the start of the season. Some players definitely need to move on, not good enough and another thing being too slow and not reading the game properly. This could be partly due to lack of experience. This will not get us up to the standard for the playoffs never mind top two as mystic Speakman predicted. Not once in all these proposed improvements was investment in the team mentioned, so that in itself should set alarm bells ringing. If this happens, supporters should boycott the home games, don't buy season tickets and don't go to away games. We don't want to be taking any more shit from them.

Terry for CEO at Sunderland 🤣. Talks more sense than KLD and Speakman put together! Definitely echo your call for a head coach to be brought in by end of May so they can get to work early on identifying who needs to come and go whilst getting the squad used to his style of play before a ball is kicked in new season. BUT we all know what’s likely to happen. I hate my pessimism but it comes from following this club over last few seasons where players are brought in last minute or managers leaving because they’ve not been backed. Fingers crossed lessons have been learnt.

Off and on the pitch the club has very poor this season.On the playing side,Speakman and the scouting team should take some of the blame for recruiting players who just were upto Championship level.Experienced players like Danny Bathh,Lyndon Gooch and eventually Pritchard were let go which seemed to be a penny pinching exercise!This cost us dearly over the season.I think Tony Mowbray was being undermined from the start of the season and at times I don't think he was even picking the team on matchdays!Thought the only decision he made was bringing Bradley Dack to the club.Like helping out an old friend to get his career back on track after serious injuries but unfortunately hardly any gametime and from what I've seen,a shadow of the player we have seen at Blackburn more than a few seasons ago!Sacking Tony Mowbray,everyone thought the club were looking for an upgrade!Michael Beale certainly wasnt that.Just looked cheap and panic appointment as no one else seemed to want to work under the model except for him.Loud voices from his disaster at Rangers were ignored.Never seen a manager that was so bad with the players,his tactics and be so unpopular with the fans.Previous short spell Dodds did a decent job but has been found out over a longer period of games.Looking forward, both Dodds,Proctor and Speakman need to move on.Need fresh faces and new ideas.A manager that is progressive and enthusiastic,which in turn will attract the players.Do it the same way next season,heaven forbide we will be fighting to stay in this league!

,it wasnt a good game clarke was unlucky, and so was O'nien. However , the team selection was wrong and playing Bishop was wrong, as hes was easily beaten at the near post.

Root and Branch Terry. Start with Speakman and Dreyfus before they clear off with the petty cash tin. No decent players will want to come and play under this regime let alone a decent manager. The coaching staff need to go as well.
My prior comment last week about the significance of the final game, it being the end of an era, of that Mowbray team that was all fight attacking football that everybody warmed to, including ALL the other managers in all 4 divisions. There's more. That final game ended up showing us the "current" mentality of what players think of playing for SAFC. If they had any interest in SAFC that last game would have been the spectacle blowout win they're capable of, played like they showed a couple of times a few weeks ago. If they thought some great manager was arriving, if they cared about any of the manager names being tossed about, they'd have been showing the manager their skills.
AKA it looks bleak. As with football, all it takes is a couple of gems, eg a C. Ronaldo type who can be the entire team himself, so Ownership/Speakman can always completely turn the ship around and prove types like me and yourself wrong, but it's rebuild time, and I'd prefer it if that includes Ownership/Speakman leaving and being rebuilt too. Sprinkle some Vanish on them for A Fresh Clean Unsoiled SAFC.

The sacking of Tony Mowbray just after Sunderland had drawn Newcastle in the Cup was absolute madness. KLD and Speakmann showed signs of sheer panic there.
I'm afraid your 'model' is an unmitigated disaster and the club is currently a busted flush on and off the field.
The only way SAFC can truly move on is if there is a full sale to someone with ambition.

Note will change at the football club you need to get these three clowns out and the backroom stuff but they don’t want to spend money on good players and you don’t wanna pay compensation on a good manager. I’ve got ambition and I don’t wanna go to the next level Average manager and average players because they don’t wanna spend money and you think this season was bad. Next season will be 20 times worse if they don’t get a good manager and good players in Sheffield Wednesday Barry Bannon for the first goal the first time pass our players, I’ve been on holiday for the last six weeks, after that match it would’ve packed the bags and gone on holiday. They don’t give it shit about the tea fans. We need a clean slate at the club now it’s gonna happen though we’re gonna be stuck with them.

We need to show the new manager coming in that we want to be promoted and not just happy with finishing mid table.
We need to give Clarke a new contract even if it means breaking the wage structure.
We need to keep Patterson, Hume, Ballard, Neil, Clarke, Bellingham, Rigg as they are the backbone of the team.
Players Id Sell to be able to reinvest back into the team...

I don't think kld has been honest regarding finances. Extremely tight-fisted and hasn't addressed the glaring off the pitch issues nevermind on the pitch. It's clear that they rely heavily on supporters considering updates to the stadium will be from their pockets. Managers should be allowed to manage, that's what they've trained for, unlike Speakman who knows nothing. So much needs to happen for them to earn the trust of the fans again. Zero excitement, zero ambition, zero creativity, zero organisation, zero maintenance, zero opportunities - in fact, everything in the minus. On top of that, to endure the humiliation of the black cats bar makes it even worse. Thus, not only many zeros but insults as well. My thoughts are that they need to sell the club to someone who actually cares and can invest. Sunderland needs a hell of a lot of investment into all aspects. They're running this club on a shoestring and disingenuousness. Out, all of them. Fancy allowing your local rivals to decorate the stadiums bar...unheard of.
