Wow Rick Laird on Upright, I knew he'd started in Straight Ahead and also played w/ Stan Getz among others in the 1960s, but I essentially know his playing as Mahavishnu Orchestra's Mk1 electric bassist, playing heavy metal decibel Jazz Rock Fusion.
