Hey thanks for posting this..... I remember this gig & tour vividly but didn't remember us doing this one song without Freddie....... this is SO long ago... wow! I had no idea there was a video!
Such a band!!! 🎺 Rick 🙏 My mom loved Rick, he is family. He was my teacher (Tarzana, California) and then we toured together in Argentina, amazing human Rick.
YEAH , FREDDIE HUBBARD THE ONE AND ONLY . I WAS THER , GREAT GREAT CONCERT . GERMANI HAS QUIT A LOT GOOD JAZZ FESTIVALS , UNTIL NOW . GREATING FROM SWITZERLAND . G'DAY & CHEERS 😊 !
In the 80's I heard Freddie Hubbard live many times. Always a fantastic experience. He was an incredible musical and instrumental talent and a strong inspirational source.
Bass player married played with recorded and produced Joni Mitchell saw them at Jones Beach theater in 80’s Freddie I saw in Chicago in mid to late 70’s in a club blew the roof off
I had never heard of pianist Garfield. He was excellent. And his Wikipedia bio is extremely impressive. Bassist Klein is another heavyweight. And Rick Zunigar was unique in that he used a thumb pick on his right hand. Most of us should also be at least fairly familiar with the late drummer Carlos Vega. The song obviously is Charles Lloyd’s “Forest Flower.”
What a ridiculous comment, you may not enjoy the style of music but guess what, others like me who appreciate great musicianship do. Elevator music it ain’t. Perhaps you can link us to examples of your own playing to show us how it is done?

Love your playing 🫡🙏🏼 All the best for 2025!
How long did the tour last ? Did Freddie put the band together? You guys sounded pretty good together were you able to pick up a couple more tours ?
You playing was great.
o: and with Carlos Vega, he dead very young
In my opinion, of all the trumpeters he is the most super human.
What about Maynard ?
Yep. Blew his brains out every time he picked up the horn!
Such a band!!! 🎺

King Hubbard! No one comes close today
True!!
One of the greatest!
Did not know this band from 1977, great band !!!
Wow!
What a great treat to see the late Carlos Vega! He was on a video with GRP in the 80's that floored me.
It’s so tragic we lost him young. He deserves mention in the Gadd Porcaro circle
@@Rory-co4vmAgreed!
Cool guitar ES150D !!
Very cool player 2 !! 🙂
Good call. Is the knob on the lower bout a Varitone? Or master volume?
@@davidcertain2492 Master volume!

Excelente👊🇧🇷🌊
Killer!
Great band.
Muito bom 👏👏👏
👍
Who’s playing electric bass?
I'm giving you a like just for that ridiculous thumbnail
It’s Larry KLEIN not Klean, for gods sake!
Forest Flower comp. by Charles Lloyd Yeah without Hubbard...
That song was played a lot in the 70s and early 80s. I'm guessing not so much anymore.
Drummer looks a lot like John Bonham.
Such a sad showing. The band is as inspiring as elevator music. No need or reason for solos.

Amazing comment, maybe instead of being a free Palestine dude you should free your ears 😂😂😂
