Actually, this one is a SPC-MML MIDI port originally made by Harumi (see description for link), I just remixed it a bit and made the artwork.
When I'm arranging a song from scratch, I remix MIDI files using 'SNES-standard' specs like samples/effects to 'mimic' the SPC700 feeling. You'll need apps like FLStudio and 'soundfont' files from some games to get started. Then look for some effects plugins for the iconic SNES echo/revereb and equalization.
You can also try the new Plogue's chipsynth SFC for a easier/accurate combo SNES remixing.
@@Nugem Which games do you usually use for samples? I found a nice VST for emulating the SPC-700 itself.
Squaresoft RPGs like FINAL FANTASY VI are the most commonly used for orchestral music like this one. But I use samples from famous games like MEGAMAN and DONKEY KONG to less known games like VALIS. I just try many different samples until I find one I see fit.
