This presentation is valuable in terms of who currently understands current tech and will easily adapt to future tech. But, the presenter lacks deep knowledge of usability testing and the value it brings. And, the presenter also lacks knowledge regarding Gen Alpha’s understanding of current technologies. Gen Alpha is the true native user of said technologies, so our focus should not only be on the younger Gen Zers, but also on Gen Alpha. I’m currently working with Gen Alpha and I’m familiar with how these young children are capable of designing and developing gaming applications. Which is why I say they are the true native users of our current and future technologies.
This talk screams "Young people don't understand aging." ALL OF US adapt as we become more experienced. Doing this talk on the basis of someone's arbitrary age and experience is nothing short of mistaken and insulting to our intelligence. You probably think I don't understand because I've been around for 72 years now. So naive and foolish. I'm in the middle of doing amazing stuff with Figma and planet-scale websites that are interesting, fun and usable by EVERYONE. The solution here to to teach young people what happens when our bodies change yet we remain the SAME person inside throughout life, only with better skills and knowledge. I'm actually working on that. The topic is called "typecasting."
Are Gen Z really cynical or unpolished? Maybe about things that are external, such things as climate, politics, society, and family values. They try hard to be liberal in a conservative environment. Everyone now likes to have contrarian opinions. But, more often than not, these opinions are forced, lack depth, uninformed and often arise due to buried insecurities.
This was a very cool talk, the best part is how building for Gen Z also resonates with other generations , I totally agree
I feel like when they taught us to give an engaging presentation in college, this is the type of talk they had in mind
